Without a DOUBT, the original Temps were and still are THE BEST MALE group in HISTORY!!! The wardrobe, the choreography, the singing!!! Top of their craft, miss them!!! Great memories!! Love EDDIE💋!!!!!
You would never suspect with their on stage performance and the joy in their music that they had the problems they had, as a group, and as individuals. Love these guys.
Bring back this, real music. These songs have meaning. When I want to listen real music, RU-vid saves the day. These men had charisma and sex appeal. It showed in their delivery. Smooth brothers.
Looking and listening with awe, admiration and deep emotion to this incredibly talented group. Why has all this disappeared? The style, the class, the beauty ... The music that grabs you and gives you goose bumps. What is the matter with our culture?
I loved watching this especially with the movie The Temptations around . Its amazing to watch the movie and then find the songs by the Temptations and see how close it came . I have to admit they knocked the movie out of the park and then some . Watching this video towards the end a comment was made about Motown being considered a popcorn company . Maybe that was how some viewed it and more than likely it was a suit who knew nothing about how much goes into a song and those who sing them . I just have to say I've never even had the thought that Motown was anything but a very important part of the music we have today . They are the ones who propelled music forward and did it with class . The Temptations knew what is meant by trial by fire , and yet they stood tall and kept moving forward . That says so much about them ,. most of all its a sure sign that they were in the music business because they loved music . Popcorn or what ever name someone can call Motown , all I can say is we all still listen to Motowns music today . If popcorn is what some called it all I can say to that is There arent enough kernel's in the world to even come close to Motown and The Temptations .
That was the music I was raised on it kept people clam and loving oh how I miss being young again . That's when families were families , yard parties , block parties lots of ❤️❤️ .
Eddie had THE purest, smoothest tenor ever. David was the man - he had swag before swag had swag. Paul was smooth as silk as a dancer, with a unique voice. Melvin's bass baritone blended perfectly. Later, Dennis fit the group like a glove. Same with Damon, Richard, & Ollie. Otis? "Ain't nobody come to see you Otis!"...but he outlived them all. Gotta give him some props too.
@@JessicaJones-me6sp At this LAST Easter Sunrise Service, young women came in their FRICKIN BLUE JEANS & T-shirts! NOT ME! I am WHITE & FOLLOW MY BLACK SISTERS with HAT & ALL! I WAS STARED AT & COMPLIMENTED ALL THE TIME BUT the "BEST" COMPLIMENTS CAME FR "BLACK" SISTERS AS I "KNEW"" I WAS S"LOOKIN GOOD"!!
Paul Williams was my favourite Temptation. How could he not be here in 1998? I loved his voice and spirit. He was the kindest man I've ever met in show business--yet so human. I miss him. RIP
Wonderful memories from my high school years. I was a senior was The Temptations first hit the charts with The WayYou Do the Things You do, followed by My Girl. I used to listen to Motown on my transistor radio.
The discovery of "The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Supremes, Smoky Robinson, Al Green, Sam Cooke, Jimmy Ruffin, Jackie Wilson," ........Motown.......makes the discovery of the Pyramids insignificant.
@@wayneworley1293 : Wayne, damn right. Awesome man and voice. M.G. was one the true greats of that era......and every era since then. We just don't have that kind of talent anymore. Hope you and your family are well....and remain so.
David,of the temptation, gave me and my family a never forgotten day when David, left our family with a song that he sang at my son's funeral in San Antonio texas, Gone but not forgotton, mother of MICHAEL CULPEPPER, love you David.
@@isabelllewis4914 Holy Cow....... David, as in David Ruffin? That gets into the true Musical ROYALTY. He and his brother, Jimmy, rounded out what I believe is the "Heavenly Chorus of GOD ALMIGHTY." Think about it..... David and Jimmy Ruffin, Marvin Gaye, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, Smokey Robinson, Al Green, Otis Redding, James Brown, Dinah Washington, Aretha Franklin, Tammi Terrell, Sister Rosetta Tharpe......and plenty of others. You are reading the ramblings of an old, southern, white dude who grew up in that musical age. Now, some of ya'll may never have heard of this singer, Billy Paul, but he recorded what is undeniably one of the greatest songs of all time..."Me And Mrs. Jones." If you haven't listened to it, you owe it to yourself to do so. Be prepared to never get that voice, and song, out of your head. If you read all of this, I am flattered. It is an honor to make your acquaintance.
Amazing!!! Just amazing!! They were some SANGING!! DANCING VERY TALENTED MEN !! WHEN I HEAR THEM, AND SEE THEM I JUST WELL UP WITH PRIDE!! NO GROUP LIKE EM!! YOU BETTER HURRY UP AND KNOW IT!!

Phenomenal. Love Love Love the Temptations. I saw them once on a reunion tour, it was great! The harmonies, the moves, all of blends so well, just the best RB ever. And sexy, good on the eyes...
Profiles in Pittsburgh Allegheny County PA. This was a wonderful interview with Dr Otis Williams and The Temptations. Sitting around with their manager Mr Shelley was so inspiring and wonderful. I only have one phrase I want to say to all of them. It's called The Three A's. It's not sure aptitude but your attitude that determines your altitude in life. A teacher taught me that in our Manchester Community Pittsburgh PA. Thank you all for a wonderful moment spent with talking to one another in Fellowship for all your fans. And the young man was remarkable in the questions he asked of all of you. Sister forever Nora Parker
Paul Williams was behind The Temptations smooth dance moves he taught them everything how to move how to dance that Paul was no joke smooth dude rest in peace 😇💖
Always a class act. Their choreography was unsurpassed. They’ve been a favorite of mine for many years. For those members that have left us, RIP sirs and thank you for all the tunes.
Every single song The Temptations made from the time they started till the end was fantastic. Everyone of us that grew up in that age can still sing those songs and remember the lyrics. I've watched the movie so many times I can't count. One of the best movies of the century
Think of this if you will....My Girl has got to be the most well known song throughout pop music, almost everyone knows the beginning notes, as well as the 1st words. Its so simple of a love song, like it wrote itself, although we all know that the world;s greatest poet William Smokey Robinson wrote the lyrics ,yet Robert White composed the most famous part that everyone sings, that wasnt originally in the song but Smoke left it in.
I had more Motown than ANYTHING in my record collection, and it's STILL some of my all-time favorite music... And I'm a white guy! It was just GREAT MUSIC!!!
My father was singing this music,in isicathamiya way during his heydays. People informed me. That heard me singing and said I got that voice from my father.❤❤❤❤❤
You bet they had that MAGIC! Love the Temptations My favorite by the Temptations was and still is Ain't To Proud To Beg; but, I love every thing they sing.
