I remember finding silent hill 1 in my dads loft from the previous residents, it was scratched in just the right way where at the start of the game, harry says "Cheryl" in to slowest most demonic voice ive ever heard, over and over as i run around xD These games were a huge part of my childhood, love that you covered this, i really enjoyed it !

@@EvanHelblingYT I remember we got stuck for about a year in the basement not knowing how to solve a puzzle and found the clue in a magazine. No Google back then you figured it out or like us you were lucky and had the exact copy of the right magazine.. I remember a lot of games we game up on only to go back to years later after finding out the way through.
Funny enough the ending you were set for had you NOT died to the Closet Monster was the CANON ending (Cybil Dead, Harry being given his daughter reborn as Silent Hill 3 protagonist Heather)
@WadeAnimations522 Silent Hill 3 (which Hindsight is 2 since it's the ACTUAL sequel to 1 as 2 has nothing to do with 1 story) is run on the GOOD ending (not Good+ which our uploaded got from another save state) happening. Team Silent has confirmed no ending as canon for "SILENT HILL 2!" You got the wrong entry bub this is Silent Hill 1. It makes sense as none of the entries followed up Silent Hill 2 and that's for the best as that entry needs no sequel to it's story and can go in any direction which is why IT has no canon ending. 3 counts on it being Good ending because no mention of Cybill Of course Team Silent is weird on if Good or Good+ is canon but that's mostly because it's the same ending sans Cybill fate being determined and Owaku and Ito seem to give weird answers on it (Owaku says "it's up to your imagination! Ito says HE remembers her being dead but goes of Owaku "maybe" when asked regarding his statement on her. Toyama is the only one who MIGHT have given a clear answer that Good is canon cause Owaku wrote SH3 under the belief of Good Ending, but then changed it and also played the "Good+ maybe" likely cause Owaku asked him to so he could continue to troll) Best to just accept GOOD as the canon ending to 1 as it's fluid to 3 story and Everywhere Cybill is never seen again with ALOT of confirmation that her bike was found after SH1 story like Homecoming but well I doubt anyone counts anything after 4 as canon 😆 🤣 Would have been interesting to have her in 3, but I guess she would have taken Douglass role after Harry Death

You never really had to reply, but those things I put in the replies are recorded to have happened in regards to Cybill (who is the ONLY thing that makes GOOD+ "Good+" as the ending is Good but with her in it. SH3 makes NO mention of her and so many accounts from those who worked on the the games even though they didn't work on SH3 go with HER being dead!) Anyway it's silly your fighting over GOOD+ being canon or not on a character that disappears from the series after this entry! And again the writer asked his buddies who initially gave their ten cents to play along as their ten cents ended up having a "changed my mind" to them! There is no Agree to disagree when you haven't given anything to make it such! I'm stating the facts, you just threw something that was essentially SH2 related which means your on the WRONG VIDEO as the uploader DOES have his "journey through SH2" and that one is the one with no confirmed CANON ending because nothing continues off of THAT story as it was completed in that game so I hope your not confused on which video's comment section your in.

There has bever been a game that has given me the dark, dreaded, and scary feeling like this gane. The second one was great too but can never beat the original to me. Can't wait for the remake of the second one, though❤❤

After watching this. I immediately think of the war between PS1 and N64. Which do y'all think was better between the two? While the PS1 had a great library of games including this one, I have to say the N64 was better. Even though they were cartridge-based games, I still think the graphics were better and the console overall had a better library of games. But that's just my opinion. What's yours?
I had a ps1 growing up but my cousins had a 64, and every time I played Donkey Kong or Mario it felt magical. It’s too hard to give an opinion but theres def arguments for both sides
I played this game when I was 9. Finally beat it when I was 11 because I couldn't figure out the damn limbs puzzle until I read it in a magazine at the grocery store. Very nice game and imo it's the best in the series. It's a very simple story on the surface - a man looking for his daughter in a hellscape of a town. Then it just gets crazier and crazier the deeper you go.
I needed a walkthrough for a lot of the puzzles, I can only imagine playing at 9 lol that’s impressive. It has that feeling of being completely alone that is perfect for a horror game
