Midway’s Forgotten Horror Sequel | The Suffering: Ties That Bind 

"SUFFERING: the ties that bind" is one of the best horror franchises with a silent protagonist. This is before "dead space," so yeah, it was gnarly and was creepy AF. This games moral system was one of the best as well. And the 3 endings was a nice touch. Made for great replay value and even dialogue choices. It's crazy to think a game like this was pre next-gen console.

I remember having the demo for this on the OG Xbox, it was the theater level and I couldn't tell you how many times I replayed that demo as a kid.

Being a Baltimore native, I loved having an apocalyptic horror setting like this brought to life for my home town.

If I remember correctly, if you play both the first and second game with good karma Blackmore says that when he sent the order to attack Torque's family it was to scare them to stay away from him but his goons misunderstood the order. it even has a flashback where Blackmore talks to the Head goon and scolds him for killing them. if nothing else it is a neat touch that there's some variation if you decide to stick with good, neutral, bad karma or mix them up.

It would be nice if both of the suffering games gets a remake one day.

The whole story and twist near the end reminded me of Manhunt 2. Also, the atmosphere and world of the suffering gives off a manhunt vibe

This game def needs a revival!

just found your channel, I remember playing these 2 games as a kid and loving them both for different reasons, I liked The Suffering because it made me second guess everything while going through the spooky-ass prison and when I played Ties That Bind I was getting more into action games so it bridged that gap between Action and Horror for me that was new after just playing Resident Evil 4, and your humor is right up my alley, subbed :D

Dude, I just found you outta nowhere. The Timesplitters memes and sounds you use are just top tier. Literally, you are like the only person to use such blissful sound waves that penetrate my inner canals. And so many of these games I also share a fond memory of, and joy from being literally stuck with a PS2 for the majority of my life gaming. The editing is top notch, and it's just what i'm trying to achieve with my own style, you sir have gained a sub, and you need some more traction as well lol.

I completely forgot about this game holy shit. My uncle used to get me all the GameInformer magazines for free when I was a kid back when he worked at gamecrazy and I remember a segment dedicated to this game with creepy ass photos but never got the chance to buy it. I just want these games to make a comeback so very bad, Warner bro entertainment owns the rights after Midway tanked, (folks behind Shadow of Mordor, Mortal Kombat etc) these games on current hardware with a competent team behind it could realize this twisted world established years ago even better.
