I absolutely adore these kinds of stories. Monsters aren't always evil, and sometimes we can have rather pleasant interactions with them if we treat them with respect and understanding.
This story is such a breath of fresh air and really shows that not all "monsters" are inherantly evil and dangerous. I love the videos man please keep them up!!!
I just love it when the "monsters" or aliens in stories like these are reasonable and intelligent, it makes for a much more interesting ending than the protagonist(s) either simply getting away or dying.
I always enjoy your versions of these creepypastas, though the other creepypasta channels are alright I still find yours more exciting and frightening at times because you don't just go right into the central parts or plot, the sound effects and background music make it so much scarier, the sudden stops in the background music when the "creature" or whatever the creepypasta is based on just adds that bit of extra depth, same goes for backroads, I really enjoy your videos and I hope you don't stop any time soon!
This was great!! I found myself yelling 'give him back his book'! I hope that we can get a part 2 of this. Maybe somehow they run across each other again and he tries to help him wake 'sir'. I love this 'monster'. Different doesn't always mean dangerous or scary. ❤️
Getting really strong Frankenstein vibes from this. A creature created despite no real desire for life...burdens laid on something the world deems a monster...what a heartbreaking story...
this yanked at my heartsrtings so hard i could almost hear them tearing, props to both you and the author for the absolute perfection of an execution there is
The beautiful compositions you make really bring a tear to my eye. You really remind me of my love for horror and that ominous violin and the dark forests of the void of horror. Such amazing imagery in your art.
I always love it when a story takes me through a roller coaster of emotions. Suspense, curiosity, fear, shame, pity, this one had it all and the sound production and narration immersed me. This one was a great one, definitely won't be forgetting any time soon.
God I love how immersed I always get in your narrations! Absolutely superb channel , can tell how much effort is put into each video. Hope you're doing well and thanks for the great content :)
This is such a great story, I was settling in expecting the usual monster in the tunnels video, but this kept me on edge and made my shift actually enjoyable
I recently learned about maintenance tunnels and I was super excited because they were just ripe for Creepypastas!! So glad you covered one someone wrote!! Good job for catching this one Somnium. Fantastic work as always!!
Anyone know who V.R. could be. I've searched around and haven't seen any known alchemists with those initials. Not sure if it's the author's nod to someone else or themselves as they signed their work as M.R. Either way great story.
Don't know if they were meant to be initials or just V/R which is used to abbreviate "Very Respectfully" at the end of a letter or email before someone writes their name.
I think it's the inicials of the Alchemist. Considering that everything is gone and that the Homunculus hands are probably too unyieldy to write the note, the Homunculus probably managed to awaken the alchemist and he was the one who wrote the note.
I had very much missed this. Getting the notification that Dark Somnium has uploaded a new video, always makes my day better. So glad to have you back. Can't wait to hear what you have for us today.
Alright, this is probly one of the best storys ive herd in a long time. I sit in my room late at night and when I have trouble trying to fall asleep I catch myself listing to these kind of tales. this is by far one of the best storys ive herd. And i dont say that too often. Great job to who ever wrote and told it! this story really got to me. good stuff. Bravo!
*spoilers* Never expected a story about alchemy. It's certainly an interesting twist on would could have been your iconic "tunnel monster" story. Wonderful narration, I always enjoy the amount of effort you put into your narrations. I finished you narration of "The Left Right Game" in one sitting yesterday and loved that one as well.
The left right game is such a great piece. I keep going back to it more so than any other story. It’s the type of creepy pasta I recommend to others regularly. Parts of it feel rushed but the story ties itself together like a neat bow. Definitely one of the best creepy pastas I’ve ever heard. You’d be hard pressed to hear another of that length and quality. I wish Dark Somnium would make another with multiple VAs again.
Oh I listened to "The Left and Right Game" in one sitting as well!! Truly love this channel, and his voice. Thank you so much for all your narrations and effort, time and dedication to us. Xoxo 💋
Hello everyone! i hope you like the video, let me know what you think! I have an 11 hour audibook available on audible, check it out! www.amazon.com/dp/B095X53HKN
Wow. This story was insanely well written and was great at keeping suspense and of course the narration and composition really makes this a scary treat of experience
You know I've always put on your videos in the back as I worked for years now, how your channel is not at least doubled in size is inane to me. You're still small enough you bother yourself to look at almost all the comments and while I love that, I wish you were flooded with way more love and support because your content is damn near cinematic levels of perfection. You're definitely up there with the top reading creepypasta channels and one of my favorites, and you're really unique (you actually add slight voice changes for people talking and you change the pace of your reading as needed for the story) that's pretty hard to find. Love your content and I hope you see this, but at the same time I hope you're so bombarded with loving comments you don't get the chance.💜
I love these stories, they help me distract myself from everything for just a little while before i go back to the hell i call existence or resort to this chemical bliss i try so desperately to quit but when i listen to your stories i can just forget about it all. Please keep up the good work friend and have a good rest of your day
I'm can't get enough of The Dark Somnium narrations. Thanks again my Friend. It's like every time I come back to listen. I catch something new. I missed the 2nd time of listening listening listening.
I came across your channel by chance and I love it I'm a huge creepypasta fan and your storytelling is amazing for the amount of emotion you put in your videos I love it
I'm always blown away at the level of production value you put in your narrations. From the sound effects, to the music, to the voices. I always look forward to seeing a video from you drop 😎
I remember watching u when u had under 100k subs and really hoping more people would hear ur stuff. It’s always amazing and I’m glad so many are recognizing the quality content u put out!
I really like the stories that have a hint of horror but is just wholesome and sweet. Stories such as this and "My sleep paralysis demon is a chill guy", I struggle finding more stories like this in the channel though so I hope there's more
Your channel has quickly become my favorite. I put your videos on to fall asleep to, your voice is so soothing even through the horrific stories you tell.
Absolutely love your narration and how you bring the story to life with sound effects unlike other Creepypasta channels! Always the first channel i check when picking a new creepypasta to listen to before going to sleep
I am only 5 min into this story and I am excited. It has a very different feel to it. Loving it already!!!!! Just finished it. Brilliantly written and an amazing narration as always. Excellent choice. Thank you for the unique story.
I absolutely LOVE the stories that start mysterious and somewhat scary but turn into thrillers. the 7 part anomaly prison guard was great. the midnight newspaper was great. the one with the girl who was imprisoned and the guy escaped into a different universe made me cry. your delivery is immaculate and the music you use and create is awesome. keep it up.
I absolutely love the background music in the first minute of this piece!!☺️ I cannot wait for a piece with a similar track to appear on somnium music! You do such a great job with these videos, they always make my week.
I love all of your narrations so much! A lot of yours are on Spotify, but if you could put some of your older stories on there that would be great because I have already listened to all of yours on Spotify! I am a huge fan, and you always make my day better by posting
0:00 First off…. I just want to appreciate the Soundtrack in the beginning! I love when listening to these “stories“ we get a Beautiful ominous, elegant music behind it
Been a lurker on this channel for about half a year now... you're narrative skills are very, very good. The only constructive criticism I can give is I'd like to see to see more different voices (I think that's the right word). Still a fan of the stories.
I think he shouldn't temper with the voice/s too much. It would lead to less immersion, that's at least my thinking. You know, too much voices kind of advert the attention to the characters and not the story itself. The focus has to be mostly on the dark, the eariness, the feeling that your not alone whereever you are. His voice is already perfect for that. That's at least my thinking, for each their own tho :) That one creepy sirenhead story (dunno the name) where the girls gets caught at the End and it is suggested that the protagonist did also die (for example) is a pretty nice one with a female and male voice. I just think that it is really easy to overdo it in production, voice wise, and would also take a lot more time to produce for maybe only a little more quality.
goodness me, another masterpiece of writing! delivered by none other than Somnium who never fails to impress with narration and sound design! I loved the atmosphere given off by the tunnel environment, and the alchemical plot elements too. and the twist with the "monster"/homunculus was the cherry on top, we need more stories with creatures who are not inherently hostile or evil.
I appreciate you. I think a lot of people convey that in their comments, but even more listen and do not thank. You bring so many people solice in their monotonous lives and I think you are truly gifted. Thank you so much.
I've always been so desensitized to horror movies and stories. Somehow you always give me those chills down my back. That's why I keep watching. Love that feeling haha xD
I do so look forward to your uploads. I like your style! It is very unique and with your original music playing in the background it's perfect just perfect accompaniment again thank you so much for your time and effort that you put into this
Have I ever said how much I appreciate that you narrate with a natural sounding speech pattern instead of with a stilted and forced cadence like a nervous school kid who got called on to read a paragraph out loud in class like 99% of other creepypasta channels? Because I really really really appreciate it, almost every other channel is borderline painful to listen to.
When I listen to your stories I get absolutely lost in them, its so nice just momentarily forgetting about life’s stressful things and just enjoying the moment. Loved the story keep up the fantastic work 👍👍
I agree that it's done when it's done, but an update would be nice. He's literally been saying it's almost done for months, why tease us like that lmao?
@@ArDeeMee I wasn't attempting to apply pressure. Over a month ago, we were told it was done. He was just waiting until he got it rendered right. Curiosity was my only reason for asking. I've been here a long time, and no one is more appreciative of his talent and his heart.
Thank the author for a really cool story. I've never heard anything like it. And thank you for the great reading of it. You defiantly have us excited for the next story. Hands down. You are the best reader out there. Thank you again.
Bro your excellent narrative skills, superb music, and top notch sound design make you an absolute knock out in the world of horror narration. Thank you for all the hard work you put in for us, and thank you for your continued quality and dedication to your community and fans :)
2nd time listening to this one. May be my new favorite... Thank you ever so much for your creations you share with all of us... Your stories have helped me through some of my most trying times. Wish I could have a conversation with you.
