I was just going to comment the same lol been here my whole life and we dont make many bucket lists so this was exciting to see!! 🤩🤩🤣😂 we are moving on up lol
Shakey's was the best. Used to take my report card there as a kid for the personal pan pizza and free tokens they'd give for having good grades. Other restaurants may try and be what they were but they just aren't the same.
Im here in Angelo and wow you took me waaaaay back lol I miss shakeys also!! The pizza, rojos and chicken was the best!!! I remember when it was starting to go out of business and in the arcade they would do nickel city night lol 😂🤣 best memories of my childhood were there!!
@@julianroberts4740 thats awesome, anytime Im describing where anything is in that area, I ALWAYS say "by where shakeys was" lol and only true Angelo people know whats up lol 😂
They don't really advertise much , if at all. Doesn't help that it's not on a main road and kinda hidden in the edge of downtown next to a park. I'll drive right by it and just then suddenly remember that it's a restaurant and place to crash for the night now as I'm on my way to do something else.
Looks like a great place’s to have a great pizza, keeping the people happy, and cooking fresh pizza with the right ingredients and flavor will bring the people back, for more.
I live in San Angelo and the pizza here is so good! My favorite is the Buffalo chicken pizza. P.S. you can create your own pizza and get regular toppings too.
I live in Angelo and I’ll tell you now there isn’t a whole lot to do here per say, I like nicknaming the city as a retirement town because of how it’s just restaurants and not things to do…
You missed a unique dish while you were here in San Angelo! The next time you’re in town, swing by The Pit BBQ trailer and try their Jail Break sandwich…smoked brisket, peanut butter, and jelly! I know, I know. It sounds weird. But believe me, it is one of the best sandwiches you’ll ever taste!
