We moved from the Valley to Plano (just north of Dallas) back in 2013. Miss the food and hangouts. There’s a reason why a city in the Valley is nearly always rated in the top 10 most obese cities in the US….. the food is too damn good. Love carne guisada!!!
when theres cheese and ur supposed to dip it.. its not birria. this is literally called a gringa. just letting u know in case u order from a legit restaurant
I've lived in Dallas 3 years now. RGV is home. Dallas!!! I ain't lyin when I talk about the food back home!!! The further north you go, the more the flavors start to fade
@@jwarrior852 I still can’t accept calling breakfast tacos a breakfast burrito. Burritos are what Stripes sells in the Valley. lol At least the Whataburgers up here still have it as breakfast tacos. Ha!
Food was okay, but extremely overpriced. Service was pretty terrible as well when we went. Was disappointed because I heard nothing but great things about this place, but then was let down completely. The waitress we had was very unenthusiastic, forgot to put in my order, was all over the place barely attending our table(there was no one there aside from another table so can't say it was busy) and they forgot to bring my food out as well. 50 bucks for two plates, two sides and two drinks. That's without tip. So idk. Not impressed.
Man those tacos are filled up and look absolutely delecious! Got me drooling for the savor. Haha. I got family in McAllen. If I pay a visit to them in the future, I'm gonna look this place up and try those tacos. Godspeed, from a little ways up highway 281 of, Alice! ✌️😎🌮
Just came back from trying out Tingys today, 🤯 🙂 try the street corn as appetizers. Another hidden gem. Great place will be my go to spot when I visit here.
Alota Mexican restaurants are making these trendy “tacos” that to me are more like a quesadilla. I’m sure you can find a good one in SanAnto. There good tho if go go to the right place
@@daniellozada3408 yea I know brotha there everywhere here it is a quesadilla to me but I didnt find them to be that great , maybe right by the border will make a difference
Cooking Mexico food, you have to know what you’re doing.and understand who to put your heart and soul into what you do,it will help you learn more about what, you what to do and make things better.
I tried to Apple Maps this place and now both locations are permanently closed lol the irony of it and I actually wanted to try them but I guess they might of survived the Covid lockdown but died in the bidenomics lmfao 🤣
The owners are scummy for this story I'm about to tell you. A friend of mine was originally hired to do the artwork layout of the building outside. well after he creates it and shows it to the owners, they end up hiring someone else to do it for less money and used the same idea my friend had created for them. Unfortunately my friend made the mistake of NOT doing the proper paperwork for the art job and simply went on a verbal agreement and a handshake which was a lesson learned on his part.
First thing the real birria don't cooks like that and the tacos with birria don put cheese on it but probably it's a good food for people don know how's the real traditional mexican food for me that's not birria it's boiled meat, but I don't say it's not probably good.
I gotta ask. What kind of meat is that? In todays world of "let's take a catchphrase (birria) and use it as a sales tactic" I can't help but wonder if that isn't the case here. I can't tell right off the bat but birria was what I grew up knowing as Mexicos' version of our barbacoa. Birria being goat meat and our own barbacoa being cow head/cheek/tongue etc. Not trying to start a fight but is that goat?
Smells great. In Mexico, birria is traditionally made from goat or lamb and is cooked in a pit under ground wrapped in maguey leaves, much as traditional barbacoa. Buen provecho!
They are young and have the energy and motivation to succeed. The Valley has changed so much. I moved out in 1984 when McAllen was struggling to grow. El Pato was the place to go !! Lol I wish you all the Best !!
The atmosphere was super cool, and their tacos were pretty good. But you should probably stay away from the birria ramen. Not really that good. They just take a tapatio instant ramen cup and put the birria meat in it.
