Salt of the Earth stuff right there; humble folk wanting to share God’s love through food cooked with the main ingredient, love. Man, why am I getting emotional over this!!! Seeing this video was a privilege and honor.
I lived in Dallas Texas for a number of years and let me tell you Wingfield's is by far the BEST burger not only in Texas but the country. I've eaten all over the world and nothing compares to the deliciousness of a Wingfield burger.
Do you know the address ? I moved to Dallas a few years ago and I have never heard of this joint, I'm a hamburger lover and I would love to check them out
Yeah, he does show case black owners, he even go to the Hood lol I went to the spot in Houston called Creams burger in 3rd ward after i seen it on here and yeah it was a great burger! I was not disappointed, so i'm going to Wingfield's for sure!
@Jay Caldwell didn't see anywhere it said black hamburger joint have used the racist word till it's worn out. Maybe they should change the name to Hood burger, getto Burger. People want to be noticed for there work not there skin color. I'm real sure the owner can't tell black money from White money
PlayboiD21 Sounds like a good choice to me. However, beyond a shadow of any and all doubts, it would absolutely have to be “BARQ’s” root beer or i’ll just go with “Coke” or “Pepsi”!!! I can NOT do “A&W”, I.B.C.”, “Mug’s” or “Fargo” root beers!!! “BARQ’s” or bust!!!
@@John-ik2eg 🤣🤣🤣🤣that was for the camera. I remember when I was little and live in oakcliff, my mama worked there and we stayed in quest a village apartments, we were poor than a muthafucka. Them burgers saved us plenty nights from being hungry. We used to wait up until she came through the door with some. Sometimes that's all we had to wait on until she got that little check at the end of the week. Dam those were the best dam burgers to us lol. The struggle was real.👍👍👍
He's not bragging and he's not being conceited. He DID make all the difference to the kids in his class, including me. He was a caring teacher, a great coach, and a mentor. He touched my life in ways that only the best teachers can do. He opened up my life in ways that transcended his academic subject. He gave me new ways to think about things, and he bettered my life. I only wish I could have a chance to taste one of those burgers. If he puts the love into it that he put into the rest of his life and career, I have no trouble at all believing that they're the best burgers in the world.
I remember my first Wingfield's burger in the 90s. Since then I've introduced so many people to the restaurant, and they've introduced others as well. Love this place. Bless the Wingfield's family.
@John Jaw lies, I Know at least 6 fat people that are picky eaters. You can eat a lot of the same foods and get fat, you don't have to gorge any and everything in sight you MORON
*The Bucket List.... THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! For promoting new spots to for me to try and especially for show casing black owners as well! You always pick the best spot, your word is gold to me!*
Calling my sister in Dallas to say add this to the list of places I need to go next time I visit!! I like how Mr. Wingfield seasons the patty, then gives it a li'l smash...I do that!
Looks great, it cannot all be a bad neighborhood, pastor Tony Evans has preached the gospel of Jesus Christ from Oakcliff bible fellowship, and i listen to him here in Kentucky. God bless you all and your business.
@@sabbyeight btw, why would you ask ?, we are in what is called the bible belt in the u.s., are you interested in receiving Jesus as your personal saviour ?
This man is what makes America great. Giving back to his community, making an all american cheeseburger for a great price. It looks delicious, must visit this place
I love Wingfields I've been coming since I was knee high to a grasshopper and my family love this place great people great great service, great food!.....
The best burger I ever had, they do it all big, a customer for for 20+ yrs, their burgers are on special large buns. It's crazy and the prices are good.
The guy in the car yelling had me dying 🤣🤣🤣 Why he sounded a little like Chris Tucker...especially when he said "I CAN SMELL IT"!!! I ❤ IT - Find him & take him on the road with you...you'll were too funny but I loved the whole segment! Nicely done & Thank you for helping me find a new place to stop by!
Had to come watch this again and I really liked it when he said " I will set the standard ". With a testament like that, you know you can not go wrong.
@Jay Caldwell awww naw lol, I grew up in South Oak Cliff in the cedar crest area less than 10 minutes from that place, I just never heard of it....but I guarantee I'm going back after seeing this lol
A 10-ounce hamburger! You are definitely going to sleep after that. You will not be able to eat the French fries, that is suppose to go with the burger. Most restaurants only have 8-ounce burgers.
*I been going to Wingfield's since 1993, best grill cooked burger I ever had. In the mid to late 90s when I was in the 5h or 6th grade I remember Mr Wingfield's daughter used to work there all the time and take the orders, I was there getting a burger, fries and lemonade every week.*
I’m lmao how he looked back at the store after eating that burger, you knows something so good when you gotta look 👀 back at the store after eating their food lol
Best burger I've had in my life.....it's been probably 15 years since I've had one & I still remember. I never ordered fries because burger was too big.
Im not from TX but lived in Fort Worth 4 years. This is the best burger I ever had. Period. Single cheeseburger. Grilled Onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard. Changed my life🤣🤣
I stopped here once on my way to vacation, and it was by far the meatiest burger I have ever had. A single was the size of a double most places else wear. If I had gotten a double there’s no way I could’ve finished it. It had the best crispy bacon on it. It’s definitely worth a stop and I will return one day.
I live in Beaumont now but this place has my ❤. Mr. Wingfield and crew much love and respect. Sadly still could never finish the bacon burger and im a big guy. Hoping next time I come to Dallas I get to go to one of my fav spots in Oak Cliff.
I used to eat here back in the day, especially when I was much younger on the way home from school. It’s a really good place, good people and establishment. They were actually voted as best place to eat in The “D” Magazine. Of course I no longer eat here anymore. I’ve stopped drinking sodas and eating more now on the healthier side of things. So if they start making vegan burgers, I’ll definitely start stopping by again.
I'm Oak Cliff, Texas to the bone gristle, born, bread and raised! I've been eating Wingfields my whole life, and it goes hard every single time! Believe it or not, the meat use to be bigger than that! A single patty burger, would put you in a food comma from God!😄 Landmark in the neighborhood, deserves praise!
