At first it was hard to make sound of the -TH-, But now it's easier. Just don't give up that gradually it will improve.

00:02 Understanding and implementing the th sound 02:19 The TH sound is created with the tip of the tongue. 04:33 The tongue must be out and contact with teeth to pronounce the th sound. 07:12 The TH sound requires the tongue to be out and loose. 09:29 Control the tongue and articulation for TH sound pronunciation 11:47 Master the voiceless and voiced 'th' sounds in English 14:29 Practice pronouncing the 'th' sound for tongue placement. 16:53 Practice minimal pairs to distinguish between the th and other sounds. 18:57 Practice the TH sound daily for speaking improvement.

I just saw your video and believe me I loved the way you teach. See more interest in people learning than doing business making videos. I appreciate your goodwill. By the way, the first thing I thought when I saw you was your beautiful hair and I thought she is from some Arab country, if you can be called that. Greetings from Austin, Texas.

Thank you so much! It was very helpful for me. I understood that my mistake was in the tongue position. I placed it behind the teeth

I do understand perfectly.. I am quite comfortable with my listening, writing and reading skills but when it comes to speaking even though natives do understand me oftentimes they realize my accent is too thick and my pronunciation is far from good. I'd like to know a way to realize if is a matter of speech disorder, impediment or just lack of practice... thnx

Oh my gosh 😂 My question is that how to sound like an American? And how long does it take to get an American accent for as long as you don't really live in English countries
@Mseleku1
@Mseleku1 7 месяцев назад
It's highly possible, but you have to immerse yourself in this language. Practise everyday and try to notice everything. Record yourself, and consume the American content. Make sure that you speak English everyday, coz most people tend to focus more on written English.

Great video. I think a made a great progress. But...I a have an issue with the voiced th at the end of words. For exemple in : smooth, bathe, breathe. When I hear a native speaker saying it, I have an impression that the sound is more similar to a v sound. Could clarify this for us, please.
@Mseleku1
@Mseleku1 7 месяцев назад
That's an unvoiced "TH" lol don't use your lips but just let the air come out only. You can even hold your lips to make sure that they're not tampering 😂
