Sorry mate - wanted to comment on the 1hdfte conversion but could not leave a comment there. Any thoughts on a 1hdfte with a mechanical fuel pump conversion? I can get my hands on one that i can throw in my 105. Only concern is then there is no communication btw boost and fuel. Upside is simple and easily tuned. Any thoughts? Thanks
A 1hdfte with a mechanical pump conversion is basically a 1hdft. Not much difference other than that between them. The pump is smaller 12mm vs 14mm so you'll never get as much power from it. Also mechanical pumps are more or less impossible to tune without some smoke off the bottom end. With an electronic pump it's easy to make it smoke free.
@@brendonv101 mate ended up sourcing a low km hdj100 fte from Japan. No security which is good. Question for you on sump - what did you use? I have a hdj79 sump but heard they have clearance issues with diff? Thanks
