My pin snapped on my second hand clubsport bmw gt2 rim. So, how did fanatec handle it?

I had this issue with my universal wheel, if you are handy you can actually take the plug apart and take the 1 extra pin included and resolder it on

atleast yours didnt jam into the wheelbase where you cant reach it like what happened to mine

You've gotta use the fixing screw. The QR always has micro-slop and backlash without it.

Fanatec says it's optional to use it but yes I agree. It takes all movement out of the equation when used.

Does all the wheel attach with quick release ? I purchase the 2.5 but i didnt try it yet. And where can i get that screw

Screw comes with the wheelbase. All wheels to suit base should be quick release.

Hi brendonv101. I have the BMW GT2 and wheel base v2.5 and the base don't recognize the wheel anymore. I have already tried everything, uninstall and install again, install on another PC and the wheel don't light up. I notice that 1 pin on the BMW wheel is back 0,5mm. Do you think that it could be the reason?

No that one pin is meant to be like that. I'm not too sure about that one. Google it.

They probably just sent u a new one and will fix the broken one at a later date or use for parts for faster turnaround

Can someone explain what Fanatec means by "Please note your data must first be transferred to our logistics center. Once they have processed it, you will receive your shipping label via email." I don't understand this part of the rma process.

Hi. I've same issue 6 months ago. Top after sale services from Fanatec. Did the same for me. I'm just worry because it happens again yesterday... Still covered by warranty but wondering what they will propose to avoid it happens again... I'm waiting for their reply

Are you using the fitting screw on the wheel base? With this in nice and tight the wheel can't really move so unsure how it's happened for you twice. No good.

@@brendonv101 yes do not have QR. I was thinking that will be better with QR but the problem seem the same. I used the screw and check if it still tied quite regularly and it was the case when the problem happen. It was on a more bumpy road (Sebring)... but no bigger shock than usually... It can't broke just because it's bumpy... Don't know if it's linked
