Checking in from The Netherlands. Been playing this classic for 50 years, 6 months, 2 weeks, 13 days, 8 hours, 7 minutes and 25 seconds. And counting...
my bro love this song we just got out of the home this song was playing R.i.p will always love him and miss him so bad till we meet up again in a better place
... talking about classy... it is the belief that generally more people in the 70's were classy, more physically fit, had good physique, looked good and had standards, stylish and elegant... it was the decade that closed the era of the preceding decades when women were this classy and ushered in the decades of excesses... particularly in Ameica where people no longer cared about serving size, highly processed food with lots of hormones etc....
They did sing their own music. This looks like this might be some kind of show from the 70s. Back then most performers singing at these kind of shows lip synced to their own music.
70 years old and still listening to this classic. Was one of me and my girl favorite songs back then before we got married in 1981.She is no longer with us in person but will live on in my heart and our kids. She passed away in August of 2021 from COVID 19 but this song bring back a lot of good memories
Best time of my life, just got out of H S, and people were a kinder bunch to each other. The memories of the those days Larry ! Keep the faith and God Bless...............
Still listening in 2023 - and enjoying it just as much as I did in 1974. The song is wonderfully sung by the ladies with their silvery toned voices and such great lyrics.
There's so beautiful nothing like singers of today dressing w elegance and style . This song reminds of my sister ❤️ Tina she passed away of cancer. And often think wen Will i see her again li❤Sister And miss you❤
I was 18 years old in 1974.....This song sent shivers down my spine then.... and at age 66 still does.....real music that touches the soul of all generations ❤
Way back in 74,I moved to Sydney, leaving someone I thought was the one, very upset,so I bought this record and sent it to the person 700 miles away, hope they played it,.........corny ha?

A testimonial to real music that touches the soul of all generations is me, because this song sent shivers down my spine too...and I'm 26 years old now :)
My husband use to say this is one of his most favorite songs... 32 years later he left me to be with God... Now this song applies to me... l miss him so much... l can't wait for when the time comes, for me to see him again... He's my forever Soulmate...🎉😢
yeah they don’t look like hookers for sure. But still were they singing live here, sounds and looks like a miming to me. That’s what the hand movements and synchronised body movements were for. They divert your attention from the mouth and cover up any ‘mouth out of synch’ moments. Like a magician, they divert your attention so you cannot see what is really happening. Not saying it is not their voices, but there is too much production for live singing. People who do the same these days, Madonna, Shania Twain, Pink, Taylor Swift. They *can* sing but it’s nothing extraordinary. But when they add a high production show around the songs, with flashing lights, multitudes of dancers and backing singers as well as antics like trapeze and other circus type tricks, not mention they *wear next to nothing* on stage, it is a dead give-away that they are either average singers or are miming. The singers with the most fans may appear to be highly talented but the demographic they attract is 12~18 or the ‘mentally unable to think group’ that sometimes encompasses older fans. I prefer the singer who can get up, stand alone and be still, hold my attention with their voice and has minimal musical accompaniment. I don’t expect anyone to like what I like, but I do expect that people think long enough to know that their favourite singer, genre or presentation style is not the epitome of musical entertainment. *There is one style of ‘singing I don’t like and it should be banned, I wont say what it is because I know there are a lot of Rap fans out there…mostly 12~15 yrs old….oops did I say that out loud.*
Two girls from my high school class sang this at our prom in 1976. When we had our 40th reunion we were able to get them to sing it again. Good memories.
This song encapsulates my time growing up in the '70s...It touches my soul with a ghostly haunt whenever I hear it....What an Era!!!....'70S was the BEST!!!
Precious moments When will I see you again? When will we share precious moments? Will I have to wait forever? Will I have to suffer (suffer) And cry the whole night through? When will I see you again? When will our hearts beat together? Are we in love or just friends? Is this my beginning or is this the end? When will I see you again? When will I see you again? When will I see you again? Are we in love or just friends? Is this my beginning or is this the end? When will I see you again? When will I see you again? When will I see you again? Sweet, sweet love of mine (When will I see you again?) Come on, come on (When will I see you again?) Tell me when (When will I see you again?) My sweet love, oh yes (When will I see you again?) ooh, ya
This song is just truly wonderful. I cry every time I hear it,especially at the instrumental break, probably because all the people it reminds me of are sadly no longer with me.
Black people is just ordinary people like all of the people on the earth. there's no reason to separate them form other people, and they DEFINITELY should be respected. I don't understand why there are so many racist in the western world. that's so sad.(not meant for you, just about the whole thing)
I was 6. I also remember this being played and Love will keep us together as my early memories and starting elementary school. 3 years later I remember hearing the sad news about Elvis.😢
Yes, what a fantastic song.... straight to the point! Performed by 3 angels. I was lucky to see them perform the song live on stage in London. Someone please bring back the 70s 😪
@@rezalmao autotune did not exist in those days.. b ut yes in the studio things are most of the time harmonized for each voice and instrument has its own track so they can mix and do stuff with it. Nothing to do with autotune as such.
When I'm tired or a bit stressed out from work, I would come home, get on youtube, play these songs of the 70s, I would instantly be happy again and enjoy all the happy memories of my childhood, although miss all the loved ones that were around. Thanks to RU-vid and the internet for the opportunity to play these great songs!!
I had the song on tape in 1976, and I am still listening it, in 2023 and on. I am 63 years old now. Beautiful song and female group, I have memories from my family, thank you for the video
I’m just a young man from a small town in Canada, but I have a profound amount of respect towards the black artists from the 70’s. They’re all such a big part of my life and I love them all so much ❤️
I'm Canadian too! I was just saying that I wish I grew up when this kind of music was on the radio.... It's so lovely and romantic.... I was born in '78, and I am really enjoying listening to music from the '70s right now 🥰💜
@@ninersnation3298 Of course they had slaves, the ones that ran all the way from the US up to Canada. In those days, the Underground Railroad was reeeeeeeeaaallllll BUSY!!! And they took their music and woes with them, surprised you never heard it.
This was 1974.......I vividly recall these Mellow vibes. One person waiting for Love...in his or her lonely moments This song brings me to grips with After high school. We all depart and Go out own ways. On our life's journey Some die young ....some killed. Some Lucky. Most of us always remembering The past present.......and yet the future.
I was 11 in 75. We all know that time flies by too fast! We all have memories of our own past that will never be forgotten! This song definitely makes me long for the past!
Great three talented women, but brings bad memories for me, as My wife left me for another man and it lasted less than 12 months and she wanted to come back, still love her after 24 years but the damage has been done, not been with anyone since, not interested, no one is going to hurt me like this ever again, just going to look after myself and the dog, and answer to no one.
If Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff are never remembered for any other song, this should be the one that makes them immortal. This song, these LADIES are timeless. My compliments to the videographer who SEAMLESSLY put this together. Stunning, simply stunning!
💯💯💯% agreed. Excellent & most underrated reply to this video I'm not taking A N Y T H I N G away from these exquisite women when I say WOW just to the video production alone. The smooth-cam & rotory-cam work that made this high quality production possible is utterly amazing for 1975. Plus the spinning & vanishing camera-to-camera transitions (or scene-to-scene transition f/x) would require solid-state digital image capture that is a good 10 years ahead of the TV production industry... We know who those lady artists are. What I want to know is WHO produced this video?!?!
You got that right @created2love ...a world of turmoil as in Gaza & the Ukraine. Yes to yesterday...those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end...but we were wrong!
@@created2love Agree❗The world we live in today is so frightening & hard to comprehend. Not a thing affects me directly TG, I am blessed. But if it wasn't for finding here on YT, almost daily, the smooth soothing sounds of songs like this that are mostly from the past saddly (although its great to see some as young as teens here on the comments tuning in!)... as well as finding humor somewhere (TV or ?), I think just the other basic needs of 'adulting', keeping informed of news & current events would drive us all crazy! I needed a vent
Late at night when I can't sleep I go in search of music like this. Take me back to a time when music was truly beautiful to hear and would bring calm to the soul.
I too go back to the 70 's and listen to the wonderful music made by The Three Angels, The Carpenters, Jon Denver's ' Country roads, Sunshine on my shoulders ..to help me fall asleep ! Wish I could go back to those teenage days once again 😀
The year between 1973-74 were special times. I was a young teen and this song kept playing on the radio, and it became my father's favorite and mine too. He since passed away and my mom had retired far away from me and my sis. The Three Degrees and this song brings back such good memories.
I was invited to a high school party at one of my brothers classmates home in 1974 or 1975. Pedro, my brother's classmate provided the transportation with one condition, if we help him to deliver the newspaper, his part time job , after one o'clock in the morning, while we were delivering the newspaper, I remembered that song playing on the radio. Pedro Molano passed away in 2021, he was 64 years old. It brings me tears from the recollection of my teenage years, I was 15 years old.
I met my lover when we were in junior. I dropped her off at her house after school. We sang this song together. "When will I see you again". "Tomorrow" sweetheart 💓
"When Will I See You Again" is a song released in 1974 by American soul group The Three Degrees. The song was written and produced by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Sheila Ferguson sang the lead, accompanied by Fayette Pinkney and Valerie Holiday. Billboard named the song #67 on their list of 100 Greatest Girl Group Songs of All Time. It was one of the most successful recordings of the "Philly Soul" era, and in the US, the song reached number one on the adult contemporary chart, number two on the pop singles chart and disco chart and number four on the R&B chart. The Three Degrees performed the song at Prince Charles' 30th birthday party at Buckingham Palace in 1978.
This was one of my favorite songs as a little girl. So many fond memories as a child. I miss those days so much. It feels like we are living in an entirely different world. 😔
Who needs a time machine when u can close your eyes & there you are at your moms or grandmas kitchen table again playin cards or just talkin when times seemed so simple its Nostalgia at its best
