The Three Faces of Sanation Poland - Hoi4 

If the boss is to be believed this video is the 200th on the channel, amazing how quickly you get there when TF2 is 1/4 of your content. All joking aside, damn that's alot. Can barely remember making most of them now. Anyway, it's nice to be checking in on Poland again and with something we haven't done much of, I know there's still more Poland for me to look at. So might be looking at them again sometime soon. ;)

There is a reason why the castle has the support the chemical industry focus. Its because Ignacy Mościcki the leader for this path was a chemist.

If during the "OZN triumph" you choose to invite Falangists to the government, the game changes you to the brown ideology, but your country's leader (Edward Śmigły-Rydz) is both a brown party leader and a military demagogue who adds support for nonallight even though he is in charge of the party brown... I understand to do fuck up in one tree, but two in the same DLC (Roman Dmowski blocked focus) and it's for the same country... it realy takes talent. Thanks to Paradox for these wonderful focus trees...

Poland has one of the best focus trees in the game, so many options.

Democratic Sanatationist Poland was always one of my favorite paths. I know democratic paths are sometimes redundant and boring but I didn't think it was for this path!

This video shows perfectly how hilariously badly tested and researched the Polish focus tree is. Guarantees of independence that do nothing, starting the game with a completely ahistorical "embargoed economy", straight up useless focuses like creating your own faction requiring you to be a great power, which by the time its gonna happen you will have dominated all your enemies. Not to mention the player doesnt even have enough time to do all the historical focuses before the war. But I guess this is just what happens when the devs focus on meme monarchy paths that let you annex half of europe instead of the historical one.

I believe you are able to "Demand Lithuanian Annexation" while taking the focus "Maintain the Dictatorship" on the third path. I did a playthrough where I took as many of the Left and Right Sanation focuses before going MtD and I was able to annex Lithuania.

I think guaranteeing Czechoslovakia before forming the Baltic Entente might stop Germany from being able to annex the Sudetenland and they'll be able to join the faction anyway once you go to war

Could you do a Rome Protocols run. I never manage to do anything substantial. Kadroist Turkey could be an interesting playthrough too.

Problem for me is that Poland has that Anastasia Romanov path, makes it very hard for me to pick all the other ones 😄

In the Sanation Right, Czechoslovakia wasn't being guaranteed by Romania, but rather was guaranteeing them; you could've swooped in and killed them quite easily

Sanation Left is in my opinion the better democratic polish tree. The peasant path offers you no other cores (much like the sanation path) but doesn’t make up for it with a 5-7% increase to recruitable population.

Personally, i believe that the sanation left has better bonuses in its first part of the tree than the santion right, but being facist is better in hoi4 so....

This entire time, i never read the name of sanation poland properly. Ive always thought it was sanitation poland. And it confused me as to why they would be called that.

I think the Castle is meant to get the bonuses of both the Left and the Right plus the small industry boost

I must admit, these paths are the ones I've basically never taken as Poland -- going monarchist just seems to be far superior, and the Red/Brown paths are... er, okayish, I guess But yeah, the healthy variety here is nice Also, as a weaboo, I find it funny that Poland has an overall healthier and a more diverse tree than Japan or even Germany... sigh, oh well ~O~

You could actually form the Commonwealth rather easily with the Sanationist Left if Lithuania refuses to cooperate, since Democracies get the Local Autonomy occupation law. Though, keeping in mind that's only really feasible if you stay at peace for as long as possible.

I thought if you puppet Lithuania, you could just press the button and it would an extended giving you causing Lithuania if you had it as a puppet

I had to see the war bit as I wanted to see what would happen but what a surprise Neville chamberlain decides to help the polish but there going to have to go through Germany or use the navy and smash through to land in the baltic states

Just curious, how do you get this game to run so fast, especially when recording? Do you have a super fast computer or just an ungodly number of optimization mods?

Can you give local autonomy to Lithuania to speed up compliance enough to core it?

Oh and that From Sea to Sea focus is stronger than you think, it gives you cores part of Russia as well as Ukraine and Belarus, similar to Friedrich Cristian path. Sure not as good as Anastasia Romanov one, but more core is good.

i feel like you kind of undersold the mościcki path. while i do agree it is the least interesting of all the sanacja paths, it definitely has more potential than you let on to it. the main reason that the castle path doesn't have all too much in terms of positioning yourself for the german and/or soviet onslaught is that a lot of the historical aspect is in the rightmost government-in-exile branch, allowing you to do a warsaw uprising (and one to much more effect than in real life). its a shame that that branch of the polish tree gets ignored so frequently, considering it is the historical path for a nation which is basically a major.

My Challenge: Play The Castle/Maintain the Dictatorship path and try to have fun.

If you want to play San right I would recomend to loot factories first, than take -15% factories and than do political tree. You'll be late for free anexations of Lithuania and Latvia, but your game will be +- historical with war with german in 1939 and with USSR in 1941 with decent chance to hold.

What is your division template

You can reform the commonwealth and gain Lithuanian and Latvian cores if you release Lithuania as a puppet and then select the decision. Once you do that it’ll re annex Lithuania and give you the cores

0:33 why?? You lose so much tempo, you can do a lot in political tree or in industry one, you can capture danzig for free 75pp, you can do whatever, but not rush this reform, you can time it. Example, you have 10 days left, if you click the reform IT will give you 70 days bonus until revolt, so you will complete focus and have no revolt, even though u had just 10 days left!
