the idea of the three house leaders in one ring is so funny to me. the gossip among the characters is just "all of the emblems are so strong and respectable...whats wrong with those three"
@@axonymous_thevoice No they never comminted war crimes. Well Edelgard didnt at least (ive only played her route so far) its instead just Three sides to a four sided war that Edelgard started because of the 4th faction that everyone else eventually destroys as well

The three of them in one ring is hilarious to me, and since the one who actively shows up switches randomly on your turn in battle, all I can imagine is the three of them basically wrestling like little kids to be the one to show up. I mean like, someone’s got a foot in Edelgards stomach, someone’s yanking Claude’s hair, someone is biting Dimitri, and they’re all yelling.
Imagine if this is on WWE with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. Jerry "The King" Lawler: Hahahahahahaha! 🤣🤣🤣 JR: I don't know what Claude meant but I'm very sure that Dimitri has a dry sense of humor. Jerry "The King" Lawler: I can't believe that he actually said that, JR.
In that support Dimitri goes on to mention the Officer's Academy Ball & that he snuck off early (not mentioning how he runs into Byleth doing the same).
Anna is basically wanting the leader's bracelet so she can sell the bracelet if her funds get low (or someone gives her the right offer, whichever comes first)
one of the few annoying things of Three Houses: you never get to see Claude pull any real dick moves they telegraph that there's some real crazy hiding under Dimitri's no-fun-allowed exterior, they telegraph Edelgard is up to something, and both of those pay off- but they also set up that behind Cute Smart Boy there's a real son of a bitch waiting to pop out, and then he never does. annoying.

The Engage art style is very weird looking tbh. It isn’t bad, it’s just off putting, I can’t quite put my finger on why though. Especially when compared to Three Houses art style.
@@fivestarguy100 Foreheads are slightly bigger and their general faceshape is like, puppy shaped. Hairstyles that weren’t meant for that headshape (in particular those that show forehead) get all weird looking. They also have barely a nose to show for the girls (which is one of my biggest problems.) I feel like they turned everyone into hamsters. I don’t mind “uwu” looking girls persé but when it’s the default look for every single girl, even the ones who should not be looking like that… that just feels… god I dunno… Girls can be cutesy looking but don’t apply these shapes to literally every girl. It causes an almost same-face effect and a sense of “girls always have to be kawaii” which is very icky when the girls in Fire Emblem have always had a decent diversity (even if they’ve never really given them the toned muscles they really deserve at times.). Also, the colour-effects they’ve given to the Emblems to indicate they’re a kind of spirit doesn’t really do their designs justice either.
Funny how the three houses leaders don't seem to know their fate in the future unlike Camila and Corrin. Almost like someone continousky went back in time
If they had integrated these support conversations into the main game naturally then I would be a lot less critical of engage ngl. The supports have all the good writing, why?
Because the returning characters are pretty much the only good characters. Or, at least the returning characters are the only ones that have personalities outside of one or two specific quirks. Support conversations between Engage characters is just bouncing one quirk off of another. Bond Ring conversations are fleshed out characters reacting to the quirks of the Engage characters.
Anna is just kinda previous playable Annas through the lens of her being a child, Alear is kinda the straight man to everyone else's lunatic... And then you're right, a lot of other characters have just two or three traits

@@hunbi1875 I don't know, I'm more partial to 'my only personality is money' or 'I'm a stalker'... and the fact that last one can apply to multiple characters is far more disturbing than I initially realized.
@@disneydork100 yeah the fact the story scenes don’t change when you’re male Byleth and YOU CAN’T S SUPPORT HIM is truly one of the greatest Fire Emblem mysteries (of the Emblem)
