Needing 41 runs from 24 balls with just one wicket in hand, James Faulkner did the impossible in a famous display against England in the second ODI at the Gabba in 2014
@@JustKamiTM hmmm, actually he performed in ind vs aus odi series 2013/14 too snapped 30 runs in last 2nd over to win the match for Australia. in last game of same series he made 100+ if i recon correctly and almost won the match for Australia(Rohit scored 200 in that match). was MoM in CWC 2015 finals for his bowling performance and had a great partnership with smith to win a match for RR in IPL 2014 where 80+ runs were required in 6 overs and 5 wickets in hand, yet he wasn't backed only because he had an injury and wasn't able to perform in a few game because of that. So yeah, hi IS one of the most underrated player.
My other Faulkner favorite is the 30 runs he smashed off Ishant Sharma in the 48th over with 44 needed of 18 balls at Mohali, 2013. Ishant revealed in an interview that he cried for 15 days to get over that trauma
Kalyan PM ishant sharma is not a quality bowler, he got chance bez a lack of bowlers,, otherwise he is a big chutiya who alws concentrate on his hairs more than bowling
Yashpal Yashpal this is a blatantly false statement. Post 2016 because Bumrah came and he was no longer required to even think of white ball cricket, Ishant was able to focus completely on red ball cricket (in other words real cricket) and had county stints which have improved him so much as a bowler that he now has a legitimate claim to being the best test fast bowler of the last 4 years
Everyone in this list above him in averages (including Bumrah) play their cricket almost exclusively in exceedingly conducive conditions for fast bowling, Ishant’s average is only 2 more than the leaders (Bumrah and Anderson) despite playing a lot of his cricket in the subcontinent.
@@SawvicKunduDibbo-vd3ulit was the ashes I think that the pressure is going to be a lot more than just a small series. Plus the ball reverse swings a lot more in test than the one day internationals
@@keerthireddyrupareddy693 lol on a fifth day pitch with a old-ish ball when Stokes was batting, it wasn't really doing much, swing or spin. But the pressure of the last wicket was indeed on Stokes, who had to save the series
I was teaching an English ( IELTS ) class for my part time job in China and had my iPad in front of me and interchange between the game and the training . Sweet memories. Truly a miraculous victory courtesy of Faulkner . Now I am a medical resident . But those memories will never be forgotten. 😊😂
Faulkner was a match winniner for Australia. Why would Cricket Australia dropped him so early? He recovered injuries and played BBL longer. After Watson & before Stoinis he was a genuine medium pacer all-rounder.
Record of Faulkner is awesome for Australia, why he is out of team?? SR 104.65, Avg almost 35 Take 96 wickets in 69 odi @ Avg of 30.85. I think, he is top alrounder🤟🔥
He didn't perform good with the bat in the recent years plus he is very below average with the bowl ... He isn't even playing first class for Tasmania and he has been suffering with injuries since 2016
I was at this game, as James Faulkner came in for his innings, a lot of the crowd were leaving, the stands were emptying, so glad I stayed and watched till the end!
I am still remember his inning when he was scored 100 against India ❤️..no doubt he is a very underrated player. ..i don't know why Australia kept him outside the team....
What a team Australia! No team like them in the world of cricket. I doubt there's any other which has produced cricketers as complete as them. No. 7-11 can bat better than the top & middle order at times. Still remember Faulkner smashing Ishant to win that game in Mohali. Pat Cummins, Starc, Lyon & Hazlewood all contribute regularly in the Tests for Australia. I wish India could produce cricketers as complete as Australia.
This is the reason why Australia is always best team cause nobody in the squad gives up. Tries their best to win in all ways. They just knew keep going ahead and ahead no matter whatever is required....
England's white ball uniform kit is a mystery. Sometimes they turn complete black, sometimes red and black, sometimes complete red, sometimes dark blue, then dark blue and pink, now they turn complete light blue jersy. I wonder when they are gonna try green and yellow.
That's because he has done it zillion times. Not just once or twice. Every time team failed, he single handedly won. He has not only played smashing innings like this, but also a composed one. Other than that, he has many other qualities, which if you want to know, then watch 300 odis which he played. Dont compare fuckner with Dhoni
