There are rules, in life. Wouldn't you like to be asked before an investigation is launched? Police do same thing. Ask (interrogate), first. What's the issue?
That’s basically it yeah. It’s not even creepy to visit either. At this point it’s pretty run down and unfinished. I guess it helps if you’re a chronic basement dweller and afraid of your own shadow. That would make some statues and trees pretty scary.
They all have about as much forethought as 4channers too. When they asked the neighbor if anything suspicious went on all she had to say was about the harassment that the community has been under, kids showing up at night just to blare their horn at the house. She says that's the weird thing and cameraman has the audacity to trivialize it with his tone "anything besides the kids 'blaring horns' 🙄" Like no dude, there is no problem besides that because YOUR the problem. They went into full harassment mode insisting there was some dark secret and it just turned out to be another weird temple with an offshoot religion (they are EVERYWHERE.... There's a group literally called Temple, plus freemason's and Elks lodges etc) And thus making themselves the only creeps present. The irony.
Not really. They asked a simple question and instead of some normal reply like the owner liked their Egypt trip a bit too much or whatever, they got "no, they don't want you to think there is a cult here whatsoever".
The average iq is 100, and by the definition of average 50% are under that. Congrats Alfred, you have under 100 iq. Senere lack of understanding of how users verify each others information on the internet
what was that guy expecting from the phone call lmao “hey man…are you like, a cult” “OMG YES!!! WE’VE BEEN HIDING FROM THE LAW FOR 23 YEARS WAITING FOR OUR SECRET TO BE UNCOVERED HOW DID YOU KNOW?!”
It is. It just happens to be a wild combination of unsocialised, and unpredictable autists that are either geniuses or morons without any middle ground.
Basically yeah. All of the boards are different but it's mostly a bunch of people messing around. It's like an anonymous less-censored (but still very much moderated) Reddit or Twitter I guess. I used to go on the toys board and there was a lot of people posting amateur photography of their figures which was really neat. Or the plushie/stuffed animals thread which was people posting photos of their stuffed animals and sharing upcoming releases.
The Noticers can't stop noticing corruption, and sketchiness in the world. They are like the old Anon. New Anon is obviously a psyop planted by the establishment themselves.
I think Imma sneak in at night and light some fireworks, then hide and see them come out and blame eachother. But then I emerge dressed as the Pharoah.
Other websites drama:someone says something that they didn’t like 4 chan: air strikes Egyptian cults and many more trolled shia lebouf for the fun of it
How u embedded that? In comment? Edit: looks like glitch, nevermind, when I clicked "4chan" it searched it on youtube, when I saw comment again, it's gone.
I am 99% convinced that this is just another way they can get away with not paying taxes. Nonprofits and churches don't have to pay taxes; and the fact that the father was charged with fraud and the son was convicted of it, that seems to be the most likely of answer.
Yep, and also, why people in the US tends to think that ancient folklore is "satanic" ? (mythologies in most cases). So dumb, almost like if they lived in a movie and had no historical culture. Could not understand that there was an entire world, cultures, religions and empires before christianity ?
This sounds like an elaborate form of tax evasion, claim yourself as a non profit church to become tax free. Buy a big property that's zoned as r1 or AG only. Build a "church" with multiple separate properties to be used as houses on the land. Passed that maybe they like the circle of Anubis ish.
I feel like they would have missed the mark really hard with Anubis if it's business driven only. Osiris sounds more like oculus and they have underground tunnels to boot.
That's because the Internal Revenue Code doesn't even define "church." They would prefer to be called a cult since it gives credence to the IRS's vague interpretation. About the only way to lose their exempt status is political lobbying. Then again, the IRS did revoke a this one guy's exemption after he tried to make a "home church." He ended up owing tens of thousands to the IRS, but was able to settle with the stipulation that he correctly file his returns correctly moving forward. Then he forgot to include his wife's income one year and got bent over by the IRS for that. So he ended up flying his plane into the IRS building in Austin after writing a manifesto.
@@iPanicytbecause the family lived there. That's why there's tunnels and a helipad and buildings. Basically what had happened was this guy who has already proved himself to be a scammer in every regard built a compound and wrote it off on his taxes. Which also gave the family, the superpower of a non-profit organization, the ability to hide money without government oversight.
@@lipzxnfvcx wasn't there a whole thread about someone summoning a pinkie pie tulpa only for it to get weirder as time went on and he was super scared of it or something??
You still get some decent /x/ threads every now and again, you kinda have to just filter out the LARPers though. They've faired better than boards like /b/ which is just 99% porn now.
I used to live really close to this place. My front door was exactly 1.0 mi from the gate as the crow flies or point A to point B if drawing a line on Google maps. Anyways I have made many trips exploring around there. In fact whenever I would be getting a ride home from a friend that had never been to my place I would just give directions to Oculus by saying as soon as we turned on Forest Hill Dr " okay just go to the end and we are there 😊" and the look on people's faces as we rolled up to that 30ft plus tall gate with 12' stone pyramids & giant bronze lions flanking the driveway (the lions are no longer there after someone stole one they moved the other one up by the house and chained it to a tree, an odd sight in itself) the grounds had probably close to 2 miles of cobblestone pathways and several large "features" best described as alters maybe, scattered throughout and the unfinished mansion/castle was massive. I call it a castle because it had a 30ft high round turret on one side and this was where one of the entrances to the tunnels was located at the base of it. The house was a typical ranch style home that was common to the area probably 3-4 BR 2½ bath I'm guessing. I got to meet Tony a couple of times and he was actually very friendly and would give you a tour of the property if you asked nicely. His mom wasn't so nice though, understandably once you realized even half of what she had went through over the years. It's true there was some connection with some American Idol stars but I'm not sure exactly what it was. Last I heard, the place was being foreclosed on and Tony had moved away the mom was holding pretty tough, at one time they did have some freaky employees lurking the grounds. But all in all they were just an odd ball family that secretly liked the whole "freakish cult" attention. The dad did embezzle a bunch of money and then died leaving his son Tony holding the bag. Nowadays it's pretty quiet and run down with all the unfinished architectural projects and anything that could be sold pretty much has been. But I wish someone with sufficient money would come in and finish it and then capitalize on all the weird internet rumors because it would make a cool little theme park if it was given some attention. Hope this helps anyone that's curious get a better idea of what was going on. I don't know the whole story but I lived in the neighborhood off and on for over a decade. Shout out to my bro Wyatt and to everybody that lived or frequented Jolie Ranch and to everyone on Royer Rd.
Oregon is a trip. The only place I've ever been where you'll find multi million dollar estates sitting right next door to crack shacks , abandoned vehicles and hookers in tents. There's something in the air or in the water making people bat shit crazy over there.
Most of the West coast feels like that tbh, from California all the way up to Washington, finally got to move away and realized how much just living there was fvcking me up.
Hey man, just a quick feedback from a random on the internet. that pulsing effect in the intro really hurts the eyes + the 3d red and blue color effect just also adds to it. Really pushes you off the video early on. other wise, great vid
@@contrapasso1539 probably involved in perpetrating equal or more of that. 4chan is and was terrible, you will never convince me finding shia labouffs flag was a revolutionary act.
Bruh it has heated tunnels, cages and a helipad. How do people that the property angle from this as the main theme when it’s literally the most useless puzzle piece
@@iPanicytBecause the simplest answer is almost always the correct one in these cases. Dude was rich and probably owned a helicopter once or had goals to, probably had off grid goals with the cages for animals. Then dies and now the family squat and try to run scams. Nothing mysterious about it really.
Huh, this kinda reminds me of a possible cult that is slowly buying a lot of property in the town I spent my teenage years in. BlueFlame47 is the cult; I recently visited their website cause I was reminded of them by another video on a different cult, and it seems they've since updated it to make it look a lot more inviting and less cult-y. I remember rumors circulating that BlueFlame would pay people to attend their services. They've got this stretch of land along a highway with a big red barn, but before the barn they used to live in these massive white tents. I remember driving by them on my way to a friends house and I never saw anyone outside. BlueFlame47 owns a LOT of property in town and as far as I'm aware, are still buying property. They ran one of my favorite gas stations into the ground and bought the property afterwards. No clue if they're an actual cult, though, but I know a lot of people in the town aren't very happy with em.
@@josemaria1035 I unfortunately don't have anymore information than what I put here! I no longer live in that area and all I really ever heard was rumors; Nothing concrete. I'm not even sure they ARE a cult, just that they seemed very weird and the website, before it was updated, definitely was reminiscent of cult websites. Your best bet would be to check out their site; just google "BlueFlame47" and it'll be the first address that pops up. They've got a lot of stuff to look at, including a podcast. I never wanted to look into em too deeply because uh, they're pretty rich lmfao
@@arandomcommenter-mc8yl Lmao you're so right. According to their website, it's somethin to do with the bible; Their logo is like, apparently deeply thought out.
So, in filing owner of property of Oculus Anubis is Jasmine Shanks, same last name as Michael Shanks, who in Stargate tv show plays Daniel Jackson, who is expert on ancient Egypt and in the show fought Anubis, who was half-ascended. This is beautiful, especially for 4CHAN!
what happy things? 4chan was formed for scummy compulsive liars that couldn't hack it on TOTSE (humanities greatest hope deterred by the fbi, ask me later)
15:37 In the first years of the Federal Republic we've got divorce laws that stated that the court had to find out if you're getting guilty divorced or not guilty divorced. If you were guilty you got absolutely no support. That law has to be reinstated fast.
7:48 I swear, 4chan users are the least docislly aware people on planet. Who tf is gonna pick up the phone and just answer the question "Are you guys a cult" 🤣
Dude as im currently cutting gems in Falador bank, and the OSRS music comes over at 1:20 got me all kinds of turned around. Growing up in WA, OR was always viewed as the "weird" state (before california became what it is now), so to hear of this activity in OR is not incredibly alarming. But very well put together video! Just gained a new sub
Nah, FBI has clearly identifiable motivations and goals. 4chan will always be a chaotic mess with no single consistent discernible motivations other than maybe "the keks". This story could just as easily been about how 4chan encouraged and made this cult even bigger just because they thought it would be funny. 4chan is like chaos theory. Small changes in initial conditions could result wildly different results.
My gay barber told me about this place back in like 2015. A few of my friends and I checked it out. Long story short.... Eye doctor commited a boatload of insurance fraud for decades and so much money he didn't know what to do with, so he built Egyptian statues on his massive compound. No cult. Just assholes.
Lady: "Hi, how may I help you?" [SPEECH 100] "Yes, I'm trying to schedule an appointment with the doctor but keep coming across something called Occulus of Anubis?" [INTELLIGENCE] "Oh, I'm sorry. I was told to call about Occulus of Anubis by a friend. Must be a wrong number..." [CHARISMA 1/10] "Uhm... are you a cult?" [4CHAN] "Why, yes, is this Chris Chan?"
me and my family didnt have much to do and were driving around damascus and somehow stumbled upon the gates. its was spooky and I've heard the stories. truly an uncanny vibe from the place. the statue of anubis can be seen from the gate and it just bad juju. strangest mystery to stumble upon
Love that you can just put up a weird sign by your driveway for your small business and set /b/ off on a internet sleuthing spiral that has them doxxing you and calling you a cult.
I grew up in boring oregon which is like 10 minutes from damascus. When i was in high school we would sneak on to the property, and take pics of the pyramids and statues. That was like 15 years ago though, didnt know about any of this other stuff, just thought it was a weirdo and hadnt thought about it in years. Cool video.
I cant emphasize or put into words how fascinating these videos are as someone born in the late 2000s I didnt know what 4chan was . keep up the good work
Bruh I remember seeing pictures of this place with the gate during the Gravity Falls Bill Cipher hunt people thought this place was connected to the treasure hunt
I don't know literally anything about this place, but if there IS human trafficking going on I hope it is dealt with swiftly and all involved are brought to justice.
Normally these kinds of videos creep me out but because of the undertale music it's much cozier, kinda like listening to someone tell a spooky story while sitting at a campfire.
Woah, I’m so glad I clicked on this video. I was traveling through Oregon to get to California with a friend and we didn’t want to get a hotel so I pulled out my Google maps to find a place for us to sleep in the car and I came across what looked like a good dead end and I ended up here… Oculus Anubis. We didn’t end up sleeping there for obvious reasons but we did get out and look around. What a crazy coincidence.
There is soo much strange shit going on in Portland. The homeless and others who live and use the shanghai tunnels and the deeper ones is a whole rabbit hole in itself.
Some of the best ops like this come from threads low-key enough to keep the jannies off of it. It's hard to do anything unless it flies under the radar of moderation these days.
Attempting to order pizzas to a potential cult complex, and putting multiple teenage delivery boys and girls at risk maybe wasn't the brightest idea, but I guess we can be thankful they were out of range of delivery lol
Okay so, I may as well say this. This isn't as mysterious and creepy as you wish it was. The "temple" images that you showed, that's basically a Hermetic temple. Hermeticism is a well established Neo pagan tradition that goes back some centuries, and the Christians "branch" of it is called Rosicrucian. Yes, like the Masons and stuff. Those "creepy temples" are just standard Hermetic/Rosicrucian temples. You can literally find public videos online of various Masonic or Hermetic groups using such temples. Most followers tend to be elderly christian mystics, but over the last hundred years or so it's taken on a strongly Egyptian aesthetic, mainly due to all the new age and hippie stuff. So..yeah. this dude who built that place, was likely some new age rosicrucian hippie who wanted to honour the gods. But he has no money, so he likely retorted to start scamming people. A lot of people get into Hermetic and Rosicrucian groups with delusions of messianic grandeur, not so different to zealous christians and neopagans. And well, dude was clearly unstable and far from as "divine" as he thought. If you believe in divine justice at all, you can think that the gods punished him for his hypocrisy. Like, on one hand you're pretending to be this astute mystic but then you're abusing your family and scamming people. And then after he died his wife and daughter in law just fought I've inheritance. Hardly "satanic" though. I'll bet most of the tunnels and other structures are mainly used for Hermetic or rosicrucian rituals. I should add, these rituals tend to be highly elaborate and call for some expensive stuff like olive oil in gold lamps and high quality frankincense, pure silk robes etc. it's because these spiritual traditions were mainly associated with European aristocracy. They're very elitist sects and tend to have various ways to keep our the poor or less educated. I've practiced Hermeticism for ten years now. I've found that the Gods/God are simple, and prefer to be worshipped simply. Christ was a carpenter. Horus was a shepherd
This. They're probably just larping. The specter of trafficing is there, Oregon has a history of it. But its more likely just old people larping... interesting af tho
There’s this proclivity for Christian’s to associate any religion that ain’t Abrahamic as “satanic” and when pressed about it, it’s clear they understand very little about what they’re talking about and just associated things with satanism out of convenience. Same with the Masons. The majority of higher ranking masons are FAR more knowledgeable about Christianity and practice it far more than the Christian’s online who think it’s satanic.
That’s all satanic. The masons and hermetic practice has roots in satanism. Goes back to ancient Egypt and Babylon. What you’ve been practicing is satanic magic. Jesus is our lord and savior.
DUDE WTF!!! I was in these original threads and was one of the people doing research and calling the offices!! This is crazy I've been trying to remember this stuff for years!!! I had no idea that many people knew about this...
