Not only did Smoke die in MK9, but he remained as a Revenant in MKX, and he was completely absent in MK11 with literally no explanation as where he was during that game.
@@sobhanamini3776 Well not quite. It is true that Jade was killed in MK9, only to be resurrected as a Revenant in the same game. Jade then disappeared entirely in MKX with no explanation as to where she went in between games. I've even heard some theories that Jade was killed off offscreen, as evident due to one of Kitana's variations has her using Jade'z weapons. But no, Jade somehow returned in MK11 with no explanation as to where she went in MKX. If anything, Smoke was more like Stryker, as both of them got killed in MK9, were turned into Revenants, remained as Revenants in MKX, of which neither of them were playable in said game, and were completely absent in MK11 with no explanation as to where they were in that game.
I mean honestly in mk1 he looks the best hes ever been and hes getting real character treatment in the story. I agree tho that he got shit on in the past cuz what the hell were they doing with him
I feel sorry for Ermac since the guy has to serve against his will until the spell that compels him breaks hold over him and only then is Ermac free to chose his own destiny which happened in the original timeline and as for the new 3rd timeline it’s looking like it’s gonna happen again.

Not trying to sound like a nerd here bu- 🤓 The "Enenra" the creature that Smoke turns into. In Mk 9, beatting Shao Khan as Smoke will show the storyline of Smoke. Basically, a cult sacrificed him as a child and became a Enenra causing him to kill the cultists and transformed into his human form and losing all his memories. He fines out his true destiny but ultimately dies by Sindel in story mode.
At least Cyrax became the guardian of the white lotus monks monastery. Dude became a hero even though he was a cyborg. Best cyborg imo personality wise
Personally I think his MK3 story arc was more tragic. He watched his clan fall apart and instead of getting saved like Cyrax, he became the slave of his best friend's revanent brother. His life was a continuous downfall.

mk if not shao khan quan chi and sindel would be peaceful game after first few parts xDD they brought doom to world that gave us plot maybe shang tsung yet but who knows
I actually don't really like Smoke from any of them. MK1 he's just kinda annoying. He always finds a way to bring his step father into an argument even when it's not needed. So far my most favorite character throughout the whole series is Bi-Han or Noob Saibot

Smoke is just Smoke, aka Tomas Scorpion is just Scorpion, a spectre created (by Quan Chi) from the spirit of killed ninja Hanzo Hasashi, of the Shirai Ryu clan. Bi-han was the original Sub-Zero, a ninja of the Lin Kuei clan, killed by Scorpion, and turned (by Quan Chi) into an evil wraith called Noob Saibot. Kuai Liang then became Sub-Zero. That is the old timeline. In the new timeline (Mortal Kombat1): Bi-han is Sub-Zero once again, and Kuai Liang is Scorpion.
