Great review, it may help to correct the year to 1984 NOT 1988 in the video title & title description as I had some trouble trying to locate this, all I could find in Nico Mastorakis' filmography was 1984's "The Next One" ;)
Yeah I had the same issue when trying to find info on the film. But it’s called the time traveller in the set, I did add the next one to the end of the video title.
thanks for the review. I had already ordered the recent boxset including the time traveller, looking forward to watch the film (however odd the film is)
Hehehe. I liked this one so much that it is on place 3 in my Mastorakis ranking. /// Have you watched Bloodstone? A film that he wrote and wanted to direct (if I am not mistaken) but couldn't do it.
I think I saw this on Prime a bit ago. I’m an SF fan, but I’ve had enough of the plots that posit the Return. This stuff isn’t proper SF, it just engages with a trope or two to pull you in. I don’t know Mastorakis’s films, so can’t comment on what he does. All I can say is that I didn’t really enjoy this. I’m not into Space Opera or any particular sub-genre, but I do like my SF to have clear, solid SF plot points, and preferably, a novum (I think that’s the term). I just wish that films that want to have a religious edge, would come out and say that’s their sub-genre, but they don’t.
