crywolf incorporates EDEN's 'wake up' into his own song, "whispers" at his velvet underground toronto show on the 25 March 2017. i think its beautiful.
@@yanyk1 Both of the artist got their start in what is covered under the umbrella term of EDM. It is hard to label both artist to a genre, as they are experimental. But even with the experimental nature, they still heavily rely on staples of the genre in terms of software and production. I would say they have transcended the scope of the genre, and have reached into something different. My intention wasn't to label the music, or degrade it. I don't really consider either artist to be EDM artist at this point, but to get upset or put off by me calling them that is a little nitpicky. Just enjoy the music, enjoy that others get the same emotional response out of the music, and know you are in good company... That's what I am doing. No harm, no foul.
When the crowd began to sing in the background made me unrealistically happy. It’s as if the fact that they knew the lyrics to Wake Up too just made me wanted scream in joy.
I like crywolf and Eden, but I don't think any other song would have had the same effect on me. The crowd singing wake up was amazing, as it's probably my favorite track in The Last 5 years.

When he went "Give it up for my friend EDEN" I get the feeling the Audience genuinely thought Eden was about to pop up out of nowhere on stage, the way they screamed😭🤣🤣
@@alexanderbook4889 I totally agree. I loved his music in Eden Project (Wake up, XO, statues, Gravity, Drowning, Fumes and even some older ones). I fell in love with Rock n Roll, Sex and Drugs. But after that I couldn't name one song I actually really like. Of course he is experimental and trying new things. I just not my taste. Songs like drugs, xo, rock n Roll will for always be my favorites! Hope he'll go back to that format one day...
I've heard Wake Up so many times that while it's still an amazing song, it's not as magical to me anymore. However, hearing crywolf sing it was like hearing it for the first time all over again and now I'm crying lol
I literally listen to the same eden songs all day everyday which is like a good 20 (ngl probably more). No matter how many times I hear them, I always feel something when I want to. The feeling just never goes away

Literally Its like an indescribable feeling, like I dunno. It fills me up with some much calm energy but also it's not calm at the same time. I dunno how to explain it. I love eden
Colton B I think it’s because Crywolfs notes were so high and require such a powerful and unique voice whilst in ‘Wake Up’ that section of the song can be sung by almost anyone

Mainstream rap is shallow yeah. Occasionally one of the mainstream rappers will delve a bit deeper (J Cole) but it’s not common. People just like to party and they’ll often use that to let out the emotions they feel, kinda like how a lot of people who listen to Eden and Crywolf use their music to let out emotions. ATO is another rapper that goes deep. Only found out about him through Eden. He has 2 EPs Eden helped on and another coming out really soon
@@wolffegfx4096 I see your point but that's mainstream "bop" rap. The stuff that's thrown on at parties to just enjoy. I dont feel like that's listened to for emotion. There is a lot of rap with emotional background its just not what you think of when you say rap as it isnt the mainstream party rap. J. Cole, Logic, NF, even some (few) drake songs, Kanye, Kendrick, Nas, Childish Gambino to name a quick few. Yeah they have some emotionless songs too of course they do but when you really dive in some of their songs are incredibly deep and hit hard you just have to find them as they aren't your typical party song or radio hit. I do have to admit though crywolf and EDEN are on a different plane to just about all artists for me but that is just a testament to their incredible abilities rather than a genre debate.

Same way like I dont really feel anything when I look at a painting I'm sure some people are like that with music. Hard to imagine really it's one of those things if you have it you cant imagine life without it. I totally get you though I find listening to 3 EDEN songs on the run is more emotion than I'll feel in an entire year.

While I cant understand what your going through I know how bad it hurts. Just keep in contact with her as best as you can if that's the plan. I broke up with my ex and after a week we just stopped talking and that keeps me up at night more than anything. I want to message her and talk to her again but I feel like that chapter is closed. Try not to make the same mistake i did cause i lost a great friend that day that I may never get back.
I don’t fully understand how you feel but I can begin to. My boyfriend and I are in a LDR and if you feel confident about your relationship with her and you feel like you love her enough then you should talk to her again about staying together. Love doesn’t have a distance
Man, EDEN and crywolf helped me get through high school a lot, when I was feeling lowest. EDEN specifically holds a special place in my heart and it gives me goosebumps whenever I listen to him. He’s in my opinion one of the best and most underrated artists ever.
i used to listen to this music when i was depressed in 2017 every time i hear this song i just remember crying nonstop and hearing to this eden= love of my life
bro why can I relate, I was 12 in 2017 and I remember finding out that I’m going to lose my father for the rest of that year I literally just listened to crywolf’s ‘stomach it’ and every eden song I could find it literally made me feel like I had someone I could relate to. I got the help I needed in 2018 and yeah now I’m much better even though he’s gone. point is, the music helped me through so much and I can’t even lie when eden released his album I listened to it for months sorry I got really personal.

It’s been years since I’ve heard this, today was the perfect day for the algorithm to remind me of my worth in this world.. I’m so grateful that artists like Cry and Eden exist to help us through our lowest points with their beautiful work.
