The active involvement of the younger generation in this event is truly inspiring. The interview Infinity Loops made effectively showcases the talent and dedication of all the classes involved. Credit is due to both the staff and performers for their hard work and contributions, this is a nice example of what this hobby is.
@Tiny Whoop - I have some food for thought on the engineering of the crash gate if nobody has considered it yet, which could lead to some more efficient gate resets after each race. - apply the stencils to the paper still on the roll, evenly spaced to fit the opening like exposures on a roll of film (a vinyl plotter with a pen attachment would make this step next to effortless) - hang the entire roll inside the crash gate box on a beefy dowel where the back of the gate meets the top. - put an appropriate amount of little tabs of some type inside the gate box along the top / front / bottom to essentially create a guide / track for the paper to feed through and hold it in place with enough pressure to keep the paper taught enough to crash through. - then after each race, so long as the paper isn't completely mangled, you can just gently pull on the end to feed the next logo slide into place again and again until you run out of paper. - possibly consider reinforcing the edges of the paper with some type of tape to strengthen the "pull-ability" of the paper and give the tabs a little more to bite onto. Lol I've been thinking about this since watching the event live and figured this was a good opportunity to share it.
If the tabs don't provide enough support and tension while preserving the ease of feeding the paper through each reset, some type of locking mechanism like the clamp on a clipboard or strategically placed magnets on the sides of the opening might be beneficial as well.
You could also forego the stencils entirely and just use a little mini projector to project the logos or whatever else you'd like onto the paper for a little extra pizzazz.
Hi. Find out today big problem. Hope you can help me solve it. Went to fly my Meteor65pro, but it didn't work. When plugged in battery the motors do the beep sound, but nothing else. ELRS receiver is not working, neither VTX. Betaflight or PC doesn't see the drone when pugged(can se other drones, cable/betaflight/drivers are fine). Not sure if it does anything to do with it, on my last fright it says heat alert 74*C, but I landed immediately. What could it be and what can I do to help it. Thanks.
More races like this drone racing is Hella boring to watch.. there's little to no spectating in a bunch of drones going threw circles in a field or hall at least with this there's something other than nausea to watch and actually enjoy what's happening next.... This reminds me of EU rally but on acid 😍😍😍😍
