So no mention of the fact that Annabeth temporarily took over The Titan's Curse from Atlas and held the the whole damn world on her back!??!?!?? Kinda the coolest part of the book. And it permanently solidifies Annabeth's status as a total badass.

Nico was my favorite new character. He was so cute when he was younger and so fascinated by the world he was living in. It was just so frickin' adorable

1) you're absolutely gonna see more Apollo. Without giving away anything, there's a whole series about him now ☺. 2) Nico's my fave, and if you wanna know why, you're gonna have to read the second series. Even if I didn't like them as much as the first series, and the last book in that one left a lot to be desired, in my eyes, anyway (this if blasphemy in the fanbase, btw), it REALLY develops Nico.

SPOILERS kay. so i never liked bianca. i thought she was so selfish for choosing the hunt so quickly over her brother. i understand her character, but i was really just sad for nico when she was "lost" not her. ZOË THOUGH. FUCKING ZOË. I WAS SO SAD. also, Apollo is amazing, and you'll see more of him in the future. christines (polandbananasbooks) favorite book is the battle of the Labyrinth, so i hope you like it. I'm currently re-reading the Percy Jackson series again, and I just finished the Titan's Curse and started the Battle of the Labyrinth. So this was a nice review video for me to watch. I think my favorite scene is the Dam scene where their making all the jokes. That always makes me laugh. How do you feel on Rachel Elizabeth Dare so far? You know more about her later on in the series. But I personally really like her. And what about Bessie? What did you think of him? I thought that he was an interesting character to add.

I've always thought that they wanted them so young so that they are not in the middle of puberty. I imagine it would be easier to swear off boys forever if you're not swimming in hormones. Also, I'm happy you've finally met Nico. He is probably the most complex character in the entire series, and the favorite of most of my friends.

I agree. It took me awhile to read the book because I didn't really get into the beginning, but overall the book was great.

This was my favourite book because of Nico, the Hunters of Artemis, and how Percabeth is starting to fotm!

I felt the same way about Zoe! I was like "ok--who dis b*$ch think she is?!" Then at the end I'm like "MY PRECIOUS BABY. DONT YOU DARE DIE ON MEH-- whhhhyyyyy uncle Rick?!" *sobs uncontrollably*

It's extremely remarkable how Nico changed in a short time. But either way, I love him. He is creepy in a way, but powerful. Like his father, Hades (oooopps, that's a spoiler for people who haven't read the third book... But seriously, if they have seen the video and now are enjoying the comments or reading comments while the video is paused, they are already spoiled either way. They should know better, the comments will be full of spoilers. So it's not gonna be my fault).

“You promised.” OMG THAT PART WHERE NICO REALIZED BIANCA WAS DEAD I CRY EVERYTIME 😭😭😭 Nico saw Percy as a real hero just like the ones from the stories and the game he was obsessed with. He thought that Percy was perfect a hero who couldn’t possibly fail. He made Percy promise in such high hopes that Percy would fulfill it. But Percy isn’t a perfect hero. And when Percy told Nico about Bianca’s death, it shattered him because he trusted Percy. He believed in Percy, but Percy wasn’t able to be the hero Nico thought he was. That. Scene. Killed. Me.

There were so many great moments with Percabeth. Their dance at Westover Hall was so cute and then Thalia called them out for just standing there not doing anything. 🤣 I also love how they both share a silver streak in their hair since they both held up the world. I hope it'll be kept in future books. In this book, you can definitely see that Percy has feelings for Annabeth, and when she sees Luke or he's mentioned, he gets jealous knowing she still has feelings for him still. I'm still not quite sure how I feel about Thalia. I do find her a little annoying but the part when she decided to join the Hunt and said good-bye to Percy and Annabeth and she hugged Percy and considered him a friend was so sweet. From that scene, I started to like her character a bit more. As for Bianca, I liked her but I also disliked her because of what she did to Nico. I understand because of how long she took care of Nico and she wanted to do something with her life but she pretty much left him to fend for himself and he was always worrying about her. She then sacrifices herself. I don't think it was the right choice. I also didn't like Zoë at first but after hearing her backstory that she was disowned by her sisters, I felt bad for her and started to like her more. Her death though was one of the saddest. Even though she was poisoned by the dragon, she still kept on fighting, and then when she passed away, she became a constellation and was seen running in the sky holding her bow and arrow. That part was so beautiful. How come when there is a character you start to like, they're always killed off? It's so unfair! 😔

O'LEARY YOU DA BOMB DOT COM - oh shizz - Luke no - have blankets - have snacks - have tissues - have the Last Olympian right next to you when you finish (or demigod files if you own it)

Nico is my favorite character out of all of uncle Rick's books and my favorite moment in this book was (had to watch my book discussion to remember) pg.36 where Nico is interrogating Percy.

When I started this book I was so excited because I knew that I'd finally be introduced to Nico for whom I'd read a bit about on the Internet and he seemed like someone I'd like. Upon finishing the book I was all "AWWWW, HE IS A PORCELAIN BABY WITH ISSUES THAT MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS. MUCH LOVE" :D (aaaand he remained one of my favs till the end of Heroes of Olympus :D ) I also liked Thalia a lot because she was badass and I felt the same way as you about Zoe (oh my god, her last moment were heart-breaking .. "I can see the stars again") and Apollo. For me Rick Riordan's humour is probably the best I've encountered in the literature world so far and these jokes stay with me one year after I've finished the series. :D

I love how Rick will shake things up in his characters for different novels. Grover was little more than a plot device in The Sea of Monsters and same for Annabeth here but it never felt like a mistake or like he was replacing characters. No, Thalia and Annabeth are both completely different and same for Grover and Tyson.
