Whenever i see someone walking up to me at the gas station i quickly ask them if they have a couple dollars they can spare. They instantly turn around and walk away from me. Works every time.
That's like $80 worth of junk food groceries. Thanks for the recap of what she took at the end. No cheese stick, no milk, no yogurt or probiotic drink, no dried fruit, no fresh fruit, no nuts or hard boiled eggs, no can of tuna or even beef jerky. Just garbage all around.

Well , if they really are Romany Travelers , the politically correct term for the people more commonly known as Gypsies , then their vehicle is their home . In the olden days such groups would use horse drawn wagons , but now I suppose that contemporary vagrants are more so modern in their way of life , however still rootless , and possibly at times lawless .
This was pretty upsetting for me. Taking advantage of strangers, using their kid, stealing from the store, and leaving after being confronted over a portion of their stash. They have no shame, and the little one is learning all the tricks about how mommy and daddy work the system. Thanks for sharing and sorry you guys were victimized by these rascals. Karma will get them.

Already is. It's called child endangerment to use a child or bring a child to commit crimes. Also, if the child says they were scared, it is child abuse in most jurisdictions.

HOLY CRAP I KNOW THESE THIEVES! I worked at Target as security and these rats used to come in and ask guests to pay for their groceries. We would always deny them from entering so never had a chance to steal inside store.. This is from Iowa so it's crazy that they have made their way to Ohio. There is many different groups of the same ethnic background that are/were around my city also. Some of them sit on the side of the road with their children begging for money, while others go inside stores stealing. It's very odd and would be totally cool answering any questions.

As a youngster, every year in Ohio, usually mid-summer, you'd get a notice that the "gypsy's" are rolling through towns. They'd just take anything on and around your property that was not nailed down. Something like this here. You really had to be aware of what was going on.
Then they can scam some free healthcare after they become obese and get diabetes from this type of diet. Why wouldn't they just dumpster dive for better food from a supermarket or join a food bank? The NERVE and the GREED is beyond frustrating but her quick smirk and both of them saying " baby, baby" after being confronted is over the top MADDENING. I've witnessed truly poor people be less deceitful and share everything they have. These are TERRIBLE people. (I never type in caps but this one pissed me off).

Those people with the baby were caught in Beaver County Pa. Supposedly they do this all day, every day, there is a couple that do this at a gas station where I live, the beg for gas money to get to a few towns over to pick up their “paychecks” they’re both junkies and tried their scam on me 3 times in one day, the bad part is their junkie friend works in the store, it’s just sad to see this & to use a child as a decoy and a way to get free gas is just shameful!

The gas scam happened to me within the last week. But my perpetrator was sitting in a big SUV with the engine running with two kids climbing around in the car asking for a couple bucks to feed her kids. My first thought was "you should turn your engine off in that big SUV so you wouldn't waste so much gas to begin with." And then I see this video. Holy sh...
Getting to know your regulars and building a relationship with them is so fun. I worked at a coffee shop, and I would not only memorize my regulars' names but their orders as well. It's amazing and eye-opening to get to know so many different people with unique life stories and different walks of life
This soulless shit is what makes peoples' hearts more hardened. Stepping on good people just to get ahead, as if they meant nothing but another means to an end. There is a lady that does this in a walmart parking lot; she pulls up with her baby in a stroller and asks for cash. I remember my mom acting rude when we were leaving, and I was upset but she told me why she was cold towards that lady. The lady was also seen leaving in an expensive SUV.

I work at a gas station in Nebraska.... I seen this exact couple before... they stood at the corner begging for money and shit. Did the same exact thing came in stole and left. That license plate is so easily recognizable... this however was in 2021 when it happened....
Because the shitty district attorney and the judges just let them go without any charges most of the time. No point in cops patrolling these things when there's no consequences. Thank the cultural climate today.

This happened to me four years ago south of Atlanta but it was a old man. I followed him and watched him place the gas I purchased in the trunk of his NEW car. Never again… he got me. Darn it
Trust me, just because you see a lot in these videos doesnt mean it doesnt happen even more elsewhere. Theft in stores like this all over the country is very very very common, they just don't put all the video online of it. You'd be surprised at how much this happens everywhere
My buddy has been a BEER STORE manager for years here in Canada. He catches people with kids shoplifting everyday. They think if a kid is with them they won’t be charged when they get caught
I can't help Troy cuz I'm not financially in a position to do so, but I hope the goal is met and he gets the help he needs. He sounds like the kind of guy who deserves it.
As annoying as it is, I doubt there is any point to calling the cops unless they rob the ATM or cash register. Petty theft is pretty easy to get away with it seems. Internet shaming is the best he can do unfortunately.

No, in the UK, shoplifters are starting to DEFEND themselves. Employees are getting injured BECAUSE they try laying hands on shoplifters without their consent and thus the suspect defends themselves. Has nothing to do with people bullying staff, no shoplifter wants to get into an altercation with an employee.

I was working security at s Forge Staffing office watching s gas can scammer walk around the parking lot doing this. Then she headed for my door. I met her when she opened the door and tried her scam. I unkindly told her she wasnt coming into any building with a gas can and I knew her scam! She left feeling so guilty that she restarted up in the parking lot again.
