In this video, I show you guys what tools I carry in my vehicle for my roadside assistance business.😀😎😎😎
I offer 4 main services those services are tire changes, automobile lockouts, fuel delivery services, and jumpstarts.
In this video, I break down my tools per service starting with fuel delivery, then moving on to auto lock outs then, talking about jump starts, and finally showing you my tools for tire changing.
Excuse me if I talk a little fast, it was hot outside.
Most of the tools I carry can be found at Harbor Freight Tools, which is a local tool and supply store in my area. You can also go online and find everything I have in this video.
I hope you guys find this video useful and if there's anything in here you think that I'm missing or something you think I should add, please let me know, and I'll make sure to do that on my next video.
If you are looking to start your roadside assistance business, you can visit www.geniusroadside.com and get more information.
If you are already in the roadside assistance business and want to learn how to grow your business to new heights, Roadside Genius is the place for you.
Owning a roadside assistance business is a "learn as you go" experience. I declare myself a genius, but also a rookie at what I do.
Forgot to talk about my nitrite gloves, and for some reason I could not think of the name of ALLEN KEYS.
Thank you for watching, and please like & subscribe for more awesome videos like this one.
I've added this list of tools for your reference.
1. Battery Pack - You'll need a good jump box capable of starting 4-6 vehicles on a single charge. There's quite a few brands out here and while i cant vouch for them all, JNC & NOCO are my go to. If you are wanting to jump start semis you will either need 3 NOCO GB 150 or 2 JNC 12/24.
amzn.to/3ZXQmki , amzn.to/3lqlFoS, amzn.to/40gKSkj
2. Gas Can - Delivering gasoline is easy money. I use a easy funnel that I hand made but this one here is a pretty good rated one. I'm not to picky on brands here just get one that works and holds 2-5 gallons, with a fast funnel. amzn.to/3Js5pMb
3. Led/Flashlight Light - Being lit up at night and being able to see is imperative. Get a powerful light that you can recharge so you don't have to buy batteries.
amzn.to/3n51PQi
4. 3 & 1.5 Ton Floor Jack - Jacks are essential to changing tires and a wide variety of other services. You'll want to get two jacks in case you need to jack up a car that has been dropped. There's a 3 ton and a 1.5 ton I use, get them both.
amzn.to/3JrJrc6 & amzn.to/3JrGUP5
5. Funnel - If you've delivered gas before then you probably know that some vehicles have special funnel attachments that without them you wont be able to put gas in a vehicle. Its a pesky security measure that made me buy this tool. Required for some but not all models.
amzn.to/40hA85b
6. Jumper Cables - Sometimes you'll forget to charge your jump pack or your battery pack just wont have enough juice to get a car going. I suggest to always carry a spare set of jumper cables to get the job done in a emergency situation or just keep your jump packs charged. At least 20 ft long.
amzn.to/3LQtNdh
7. Pull Up Lockout Tool - Some cars have a manual locks that pull up or down to lock or unlock a vehicle. This rod will make those jobs 100% easier and faster to do. I use this beast all the time and its been a great investment.
amzn.to/3yKrIrv
8. Lockout Kit - Every locksmith and their mom knows the standard way to unlock a vehicle there are several different types you can get but these here are good for the price and work well. (bag, wedge, & long rod)
amzn.to/3Js61RZ & amzn.to/3JRZFwF
9. Rubber Mallet - Stuck lug nuts, seized tires, and hammering on sockets is why i carry a rubber mallet. Don't get caught without one.
amzn.to/3JNerVm

Good job! Hey, a first aid kit, a headlamp, knee pads, a compact mechanics tool set, a quality spray bottle and AAA (for yourself 😜) are a definite must. Lastly, elaborate some more on how you acquire your customers. ✌🏼✊🏼

Thank you for the info. I’ve been on the fence about starting a roadside assistance business as part time and then eventually making it full time. I’m pretty knowledgeable on the 4 topics you discussed. My 2 biggest fears are the steps to making it a legitimate business and capitalizing on the market for potential growth.

I carry an assortment of screws as well. If its not too far for them to travel and the spare is not good or something you can screw one in the tire and air it us. With the right size it will be a slow leak and you can follow then to the tire store. Good explonation and list of stuff.

I love JNC the only jump box I use. Testing the battery pretty much sells itself too. Every time I show the customer my tester and that the battery needs to be replaced the 1st question out of their mouths are, do you replace batteries? Why yes I do😉. Great video man. Just one thing, Do you have a Master spline locking lugnut removing kit? That's another huge problem I run across often. People buying used vehicles with splined locking lug nuts for aftermarket rims that didn't come with the spline socket. Or they lose the spline socket themselves, Either way that kit has saved me tremendously.. If you don't have one I highly recommend it.

Why carry two jacks, it makes no sense. When you can just carry one 3 ton jack that will lift all vehicles. and save some room in your ride.
