I think it would have been much better if they did top 10 most broken versions of heroes. Examples including, when Earth Spirit was first allowed into ranked and position 4's almost single-handedly won games (He was the strongest roamer ever seen in Dota), when Pudge could fountain hook, when you could attack heroes during Winter Wyvern's Ultimate and it was first picked or banned every game, Centaur Warrunner on release, Meepo when his passive was changes and he had a 60% win rate, when Oracle's False Promise had a 20 second cooldown and made the hero invisible, or when Phoenix's sunray was the best spell in the game. You can't just say 10 most broken, as nerfing and buffing is constantly occurring. Which version do you mean??

DotA is generally balanced. Balance itself is such a complex topic. Each piece independently affects all the other pieces. I think most people have a love/hate relationship due to the cancerous rage present in pub games. Not due to the lack of balance, unbalanced/OP heroes are generally patched very quickly.

10- Requires an inattentive enemy team to farm unmolested for 20 minutes to get to the point of wrecking shit, which any other carry will do while having much more utility than her. Nyx, Doom or any other hero with break turns her into a glorified creep. 9- Terrible lane presence and no ability to flash farm whatsoever as well as having a crippling weakness to being detected. Bounty Hunter or Slardar are very hard counters to Riki. 8- Storm Spirit was way worse, now it has a very obvious weakness to all kinds of root/immobilizations, being reduced from a grade-A pubstomper to a mere nuisance. 7- Techies, really? Any ganker worth its salt will have a field day wrecking his shit 6- When you have a hero which can be rendered unplayable by another with in similarly capable hands, you can't say it's broken. Earthshaker, which is not the only viable counter, is effectively the bane of most Meepos. 5- Pudge has one of the biggest drops in power spike in the game. Not broken. 4- That combo that can only be pulled in very specific circumstances. Skywrath has more reliable kit yet he's not considered broken. 3- Great mobility but requires a very precise aiming, unlike his other elemental cousins. Also, his position 4 status will not get any priority towards items that dispell silence, his biggest counter. 2- Very reliant on items yet he's not considered a hard carry. Also Lucky Shot doesn't proc both silence and disarm anymore. 1- Very reliant on his positioning, any displacement ability can easily cut him off from his ultimate. Also any hero with tree-clearing spells can get a free stun on him.

You haven't seen Bristelback proc quills faster than you can say "Goodbye my HP" (When you get more than 10 proc with his passive in a second) I also would give Mars a honorable mention. He literally has a blackhole level crowd control ulti without channeling it. And Drow ranger with her new ulti that ignores armor and evasion

Now with the New Lvl 30 and all Talent update PA is almost Unstoppable

But Dota is balanced it's just that hero's don't get countered or they get put in checked early

So many other heroes should be in this list instead like centaur when he was first released, wyverns’ old ultimate, oracle with the old invisible ultimate, arc warden’s tempest double allowed to carry rapiers and duplicate consumables which means unlimited consumables, etc. this list sounds more like list of easy winning heroes on 2k mmr instead.

PA wasn't broken at all...... as long you dont pick a team consist of 4, low armored and HP heroes. riki ain't broken too, once he's detected, he's an easy one to kill (as long you have at least one disable on your team). how is MK broken? i mean, there's no strong explanation to call him broken unless you mention the first release MK. and there's more like pudge and storm but there's no point in mentioning them all since im sure even 3k players know why these 5 heroes i mentioned are balanced and i think, heroes that could replace them are current IO, terrorblade, and current bounty hunter.

These "Broken" heroes are easily countered in the early game.

They're not broken with item counters and hero counters. That's why drafting and planning is necessary. Dota 2 is "literally balanced", it's the reason why people still played it and still having thousand hundred of guns.

Nah PA should be number 1, every other hero in this list requires skill.

I remember the first time using MK and pick the critical strike talent and buy daedalus, I could kill an entire lane of hero in 1 skill

How about MKs mischief? It was granting you a ~20sec CD, free of mana, free of skill point skill that made him invulnerable for 1 sec with 0 cast time. You know how many people didn't know that? Imagine a skill that lets you dodge Linas ulti with aghs , for 0 resources. :D

So no mention of viper? Massive magic dmg, aoe passive break, shit ton of magic resistance and worst of all his passive...his god damn passive Or even slark? Has a purge, a pseudo blink, a leash, a passive that allows u to win any trade 100% of the time and an ulti that makes u untargetable whilst giving a fuck ton of hp regen when u cant be seen Thankfully these heroes have been nerf as of right now (and they should be kept in their pits where they belong) but still the hero designs r fuckin annoying

I think grimstroke counts as broken early in release, being able to do 220 damage and stun for 2.2 seconds level 1

I agree with people saying that a list about how bad some stuff was broken in past patches would be good, but I think another good angle would be the heroes that can be last picked against you, and you just realize you have absolutely no means of dealing with them. It's one of the cooler elements of Dota drafting. Examples like Broodmother, Meepo, Huskar, Alchemist, Tinker; stuff that can potentially make you say "FUCK, we have absolutely nothing to stop that hero," if you drafted without them in mind. They aren't broken overall, but Dota's hero pool is a complex landscape of counters and interactions that sometimes you realize the other team picked scissors and you don't have a single rock, if that makes sense

Not gonna lie. This broken hero list is a little bit outdated. Not to mention the number 1 spot should be Zet, Arc Warden if we're talking about newly released hero that shaked the meta and became number 1 in seconds .

Meepo, Earth Spirit (and I'd add Invoker) are the heroes meant to be broken when played at 100%. They are meant to be balanced by skill level.

when i was playing dota there was no dota 2 and phantom assasins's blur was making her nearly invisible and not clickable. You could just see an aura if he builded vlad or etc. Some many times i was killed without noticing it
