Ja's jam was earth shattering, but Doncic with the put back on the purposefully missed free throw with 1 second left to force an overtime while completing an insane comeback on the way to a ridiculous 60-20-10 + game was the number 1 play of the year. Clutch moments are worth more. Or LeBron breaking what seemed like an unbeatable record.
It's just pure and obvious bias the NBA has. The difficulty, importance as a clutch play and addition to the scoreline from the entire game that it adds to all say it should be play of the year without it even being close to anyone with eyes. Honestly the #1 is forgettable compared to #2
So Luka's corner pass was the #4 assist of the season, and Jokic between the legs was the #1 assist of the season, but Jokic's between the leg pass was the #7 play of the season and the Doncic corner pass was the #6 play of the season???

I question how Damian Lillard only got one. When he had like 3 major posterizes this season, and a fucking moving contested logo shot which even curry hasn't pulled off along with other logo shots.
the next comnig years of the NBA is going to be very special. Coming from years of just saying "Lets skip to a warriors/cavs final", to seeing all these teams have competition is truly a blessing for NBA fans
#2 is probably one of the best/most difficult plays I’ve seen. Anyone who has played basketball knows that hitting a free throw like that is insanely hard. And the fact that the same person got the rebound is insane.
I know the people that put this together don’t really watch games back to make the list, just pick of the popular highlights already posted… but HOW IS MARKELLE FULTZ DOING A PUTBACK WINDMILL NOT IN THIS VIDEO? 💀
People forget that Shaq wasn't just big,he was hella skilled and ridiculously agile for his size. But you get a lot of people who think all he did was run you over and dunk.
@@Desi365 Sengun just had his 2nd season, Jokic missed playoffs in both his first 2 as well. Also the Rockets have been the leagues most dysfunctional team the past 3 seasons. Nobody was winning with this roster. But now they finally have a head coach with experience and not some random first time head coach that has no idea what he’s doing. People will finally notice Sengun this season
@@Oteopsik I believe Sengun is a hopeless cause. The problem is in the design, time will not change anything. Should trade him while the illusion lasts and there is value in the trade, imo. He'll never be the thing you hope: a great transformative, original , difference-making player. Like Jokic. It's an illusion. He is fundamentally a poor player that has flashes of talent but is widely ineffective.
Number of times each team appeared in order: Memphis Grizzlies - 10 Denver Nuggets - 8 Indiana Pacers - 6 Dallas Mavericks - 6 Golden State Warriors - 6 Atlanta Hawks - 5 Cleveland Cavaliers - 5 Houston Rockets - 5 Los Angeles Lakers - 5 Utah Jazz - 5 Portland Trailblazers - 4 Boston Celtics - 3 Brooklyn Nets - 3 Miami Heat - 3 Milwaukee Bucks - 3 Minnesota Timberwolves - 3 Sacramento Kings - 3 Los Angeles Clippers - 2 New Orleans Pelicans - 2 New York Knicks - 2 Orlando Magic - 2 Philadelphia 76ers - 2 Washington Wizards - 2 Charlotte Hornets - 1 Chicago Bulls - 1 Detroit Pistons - 1 Oklahoma City Thunder - 1 Phoenix Suns - 1 San Antonio Spurs - 1 Toronto Raptors - 1
He was ridiculously athletic for his size, but he wasn't a guy you gave the ball to on the perimeter when you could let him go down low and just dominate.
@@texdrew7471 Hes underrated if anything your a casual he doesnt even dunk that much he always goes for blocks hustle plays he shoots threes works post and can make tough lays and is SUPER CONSISTENT hes not a highlight machine... his stats are crazy so fym he rarely does anything crazy average suns fan
The disrespect of Giannis is mind blowing! It makes zero sense that they don’t take advantage of his popularity. Numbers don’t lie, the dude has the 3rd highest selling jersey in the league after LeBron & Steph but the NBA barely features him in their promotional materials. I’ve literally seen NBA’s compilation commercials that have like 12 other stars and they don’t include Giannis (and no, the commercials aren’t for a specific set of games, just generic promotion of the league)! Why? 🤯
Ja has had the number 1 play of the year back to back years now…..last year it was the full court heave from adams to ja as he is falling out of bounds and the quarter is ending and he hits the shot.
Luka's play should've been number one but the NBA bias over an American born player was perceived easily. No shock there. LOVE THESE HIGHLIGHTS THOUGH!
