There are some bad hair clubs out there. This is how you pick the right one. hair systems can be amazing, but if you choose the wrong hair club, they might do a bad cut in, overcharge you, and they might be afraid of teaching you. DON'T FALL victim to bad hair clubs.

In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
Male-pattern baldness
Women tend to lose hair along the part.
Female-pattern baldness
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
Traction alopecia
t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
Frontal fibrosing alopecia
Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

omg so glad i found this video. I just subscribed and will be watching a lot more of your videos. had my first consultation with a hair club and the numbers they were quoting, on the low end, were exactly what you were talking about. between 3600-8400 / yr with 4500 to get the ball rolling and, like, wow i need to get educated and shop around. I *LOVE* the way your approaching this topic and your mindset about it, I definitely need to learn from you. I know there's different hair systems out there, different salons. I'm exploring my options and it's both daunting - realizing I'm not going to find some easy off the shelf solution at a reasonable price - but I think what I want is out there. And I've seen advertisments from girls that do this kind of stuff themselves, so it's empowering hearing you talk about how the person you trust is just some lady with an excellent. relationship and skills. Can't wait to check out more of your videos - thank you

Hi Jake Your so right you don’t have to spend a small fortune on a good Hair System. Their are tons of videos on RU-vid helping you to take the systems off, removing glue and refitting it yourself. Any good Hairdresser can cut a System in , how ever you need to explain to the hairdresser the back and sides need to be cut using a Razor Cut as this method helps blending with your own hair You don’t have to travel miles to have a System cut in. Calling around and explaining works 😊

So glad to have found your videos. So down to earth and truthful. My husband has a bad scar on his head and once he started losing his hair he moved to a hair club. He subsequently moved on to a hairdresser who works out of her home. He never renewed the piece often enough and never replaced it often enough. I'm a fairly handy person, I cut hair (self taught), make character dolls, do complicated cosplay for granddaughter etc. etc. With the shut in he was stuck. He's very sensitive about his hair and won't talk about it but I eventually let me clean and redo his hair about a month into shutdown. All went well so I ordered a new hairpiece online. Today is the day - wish me luck. I have to trim to size, install and style it!!!!!! Your videos are priceless and i'm going to try to get him to watch them to try and relieve some of the stigma he feels.

Jake - can you do a video on what does it cost to get a hair system done the first and an ongoing maintenance cost. What do you really do day to day to take care of it. Anything that you miss doing / the hair system impairs you from doing. Can you swim?

I live in Denver and I tried to "forget" about paying high prices for hair systems HOWEVER there is no independent hair installers in this city of 2 million people. I have tried to fine one for over 15 years!. So I am at "Hair Club" for $354 per month with 4 hair systems per year. Finding any "hair installer" even in a large city is a major problem so you either have to learn to do it all on you own or if your are lucky enough to even have a place like Hair Club near you use them and pay the price for doing so.
@gregoryaisemberg2037
@gregoryaisemberg2037 5 месяцев назад
Thanks for that shocking information. I googled hair replacement in Denver and there are several places. I would simply ask if someone can apply my own unit and haircut. Hair Club for men is amenable to that. Though it's true that many are unethical with their prices. Keep looking, perhaps outside of Denver. Driving once a month to say Boulder wouldn't be so bad.@@bluestar111333

Jake, It would be great if you get more in-depth on your experience while getting active in crossfit. I'm a daily exerciser and steam/sauna user and worry about the heating/sweating effect on the bond. I just bought my first system after years of watching Curtis etc and have that final worry left (Sun, heat, and sweat experience). Thanks, and please keep making your series as I'm a new subscriber.

Thanks again Jake. I still haven't put on my hair system because I want to do it with the same professional from Curtis there in Florida and I'm going to move to Florida in two months. The curious thing is that when I talked to Curtis and asked which hair salon he put his hair system on, he told me that he could only tell me after I bought the hair system. He is great at sharing everything he learns and teaching a lot, but he also restricts information, perhaps because he makes some money from it. what is frustrating

Sorry to hear that. I will always share information freely, even if I have products to sell. Unfortunately, (and I’m not speaking about anyone in particular) some individuals believe that withholding information will gain them more clientele. In this day and age, you can find almost everything on the internet. So I view it as a major compliment that you or anyone else would want to watch my content, and I hope I can always distill the information in an easy, logical, and thought provoking way!

I dunno man, travelling to a different state driving or flying coupled with the inconvenience of doing so. I’d say start with HairClub to get the new you going. Then learn, and eventually you’ll know enough to do a lot of it at home to scale back

Thanks Jake! I literally went to my first consultation with a hair club this morning and I was so anxious to finally get this ball rolling that I decided to go through with it. They initially wanted me to pay $4000 to get the all inclusive package, but I settled for the $300 a month for 6 months package. I’m not sure how invested I want to get with my first system and without any experience would like to go with a professional. Needless to say, after seeing your video I’m even more conflicted and now might cancel before I even get started with the hair club. Thank you for the insight.

Hey Jake. I've just began my investigation into hair systems. I tried earlier in the year, but not as seriously. Luckily when I tried this time all your videos were up! Appreciate what you're doing is very helpful and you seem truly sincere. I have so much that I'd like to ask you, but I don't want to overwhelm you, you do a lot already. I know you recently have a connection with Lavivid. Would you be able to comment on other suppliers? and I live in NYC phil does it all is way out of my price range. Lots of great points! Avoid them! They are MASSIVE RIP off... you are paying lots of money for a very LOW LOW LOW quality system. There is no reason NOT to do your own maintenance at home. There are TONS of vids on how to do it. Better working with a private salon attached to a company that has great prices, quality, etc. You buy a high-quality CUSTOM hair system (HCFM uses stock systems) for about $600; you need 3-4 a year, max. A decent cut-in should cost $150. Maintenance costs are low, because your own barber can do a maintenance cut. And maintenance is done at home, for a few bucks every couple of weeks.

Unfortunately I have seen a décline in the quality of the stylists in Ft Lauderdale. As long as you get a lace system with a matching hair type,you can make any system look good..too dense=thin it out..hair fried and old=use product to make it look good...I have some stylists that are willing to do the whole thing for $50 but all they know how to do is a template and thin out..if you get a system put it on your head and you can cut your own piece to fit the balding area ..if thé edges arent perfect it doesnt matter..i like to make mine alittle bigger than thé bald area because they shrink over time..what you néed to do is find a local stylist that is willing to do it on the side in your own home without telling thé salon..I usually go through one swiss/french lace a year...hair clubs are a total waste..Up until last year I went to a hair club every year to get it installed and thén did maintenance on my own..find out what number on a clipper is good to blend your side hair with your piece and you wont even néed a hair stylist until youre comfortable doing it all on your own..and theres no way around it..its a pain in the ass once or twice a month to do the maintenance. If you have to go to a hair club,look at their clients..if they look bad you know they suck
