The Top 3 MUST PULL Characters in Honkai Star Rail 

I don't really have must pull characters more like must pull concepts. 1. Any character who can implant a weakness in some form. 2. Any character whose buffs only expire on their turn. 3. Any character who can keep multiple allies protected/alive at one time.

Ruan mei is definitely the best character in the game, you can just put her in every team and also her breaking mechanics are awesome

Silver’s best benefit IRL is it allows you to WAIT for who you want - there’s no rush to fill out a roster at any cost. One of the best pulls for new players bc she gives you so much time to catch up and invest in what you want more easily

It's funny how everyone seems to not be very enthusiastic about SW but she carried me since she landed on my account, I value her as one of my most valuable units, since early game to cover for lack of weakness on my account, def shredder for DoT, mono quantum, as a Nihility character for Acheron, and now I'm using her in Super Break, she finds her way in so many teams.

Ruan, Aventurine, Acheron/Firefly

13:01 this is a great point. Firefly and Acheron, not only do they break the game but they are also VERY CHEAP. Other than themselves you don't need any premium 5 stars to make them work very well and still be at very low skill requirement. LITERALLY FIREFLY'S BEST TEAMMATE IS THE MC. Her best sustain is Ghallager which is a 4 star and her 2nd best supports after Ruan Mei (the MC is mandatory this is for the 2nd support) are Pela and Asta. She also doesn't need her own lightcone just use the SU one, it's so good it isn't even recommended before you get her E2. Compared to DHIL who NEEDS a very SP positive team and/or Sparkle, and his E2, and his lightcone, and very good relics while Firefly just wants break effect and some speed. Same goes for Acheron. Her best support is Pela, her 2nd best lightcone is a 4 star, her sig relic set and her multipliers can carry her even with mid af relic stats. These 2 ladies are just so OP it's not even funny.

Currently, my 3 must pulls are: Ruan Mei - Almost every team in the game can use her phenomenally, and she is currently the only BE limited support in the game which makes her invaluable for an entire archetype. Break is also currently in full swing, with AP being centered around it, MoC having buffs that cater towards it, and new characters releasing for it left and right. Robin - Insane support. Able to be positioned in a wider amount of teams than most think, and is unequaled in terms of buffers for FUA or Multi-hit DPS in general (such as Ratio, Seele, Topaz, etc). How her kit functions also lends herself to almost always be buffed by all content (there are almost no buffs in MoC, AP, or PF that don’t benefit her, as she likes DMG%, ATK%, Energy Recharge, FUA buffs, etc.). Also most broken E6 in the game, but i don’t even want to count that. Sparkle - Controversial opinion, but she might be the second most universal unit in the game behind RM. This is less due to her kit, and more due to how Crit-Hypercarry is essentially usable on every single DPS in the game outside of Firefly and BS due to, in what my opinion is, the overinflation of attack multipliers on DPS across the board. Hypercarry will always have a place in this game, and therefore I think Sparkle will always have a place in this game. I know triple Harmony, how original. But I do believe if I had to recommend a new player pick up 3 characters, these are the ones. They lay a foundation for all players, allow them to pull freely and based on their preference, and every single one will stay relevant and prevalent in Meta play until they drop another Harmony that can either completely eclipse what they do, or they start making 20 different Acheron that don’t use Harmony supports, which is highly unlikely to me. Even with 4 star teams they can perform incredibly well. Just look at SB Xueyi with RM, Robin Sushang Infinte Chicken Works, or QQ Sparkle chronicles.

Ruan Mei is the only true must-pull character imo, she's just too universal. Aventurine would be the next in line, though if you already have let's say Fu Xuan and Huohuo then calling him a *must-pull* is probably a bit much. The dps characters can all substitute each other to various extents so I don't think you can consider any of them must-pulls, even if Firefly and Acheron are the standouts right now. Silver Wolf is an interesting shout because of her potential ability to enable your account to deal with situations that you might not have the tools for otherwise, but now we have other characters that can either implant their own weaknesses or break rainbow toughness bars anyway so I don't think that argument is quite as strong as it once was anymore. Pulling SW early on a new account has incredible value though, no doubt about that. It takes quite some time before you'll have good teams built for every element organically.

QOTD: 3 must-pulls right now are Ruan Mei, Aventurine, and Acheron. But I will say that there's no need to feel fomo about not having the current best character bc if you just wait a patch or two they'll come out with something even more broken.

This might be a hot take but imo Seele is the "ryu" of this game. She's really good at teaching the basics of the game, especially sp balance. I got bronya day one and early on got seele and they taught me the importance of sp balance

1. Ruan Mei 2. tie between whichever DPSes are currently best at each DPS niche 3. fill in whatever you didn't pick for #2 (if you have the best break DPS, get the best crit DPS and so on)

I just can't agree with silver wolf being up there especially when newer players are getting characters like firefly who straight up weakness impant and acheron who ignores the toughness regardless. She isn't even going to be remaining on acherons bis team when jiaoqiu comes out so her debuffs ain't even that much of an additive. Sure she has good def shred and conditional res pen but getting dmg amplifiers that equal that isn't particular hard and those two aspects are easy to power creep, the only thing which made her special was the implant and that is even something getting powercrept and fizziled out. I just don't think she is worth it these days

Archeon , Ruan Mei and FireFly are my Top 3. When the whole META changes or the Game feel so difference when you add or remove these character from your team I believe that makes them a must pull. The character I name feel like the Creme De La Creme of Honkia Star Rail and it's not even close.

4:18 naah bro, with all due respect must pulls are RM, FF and Acheron. I love SW, but with how they are going around break characters SW is nowhere near a must pull. For a new player especially as new players 1st priority should be to get 2 dps characters up and running. SW won't do shit for a new player because you don't have ability to select which weakness she implants and she doesn't do much dmg by herself

Since Acheron and Firefly are stated as "must pulls", one could argue that since both of these units dont care about element type( FF due to her weakness implant and Acheron due to her colourless break), silver wolf becomes not a necessary must pull automatically. As we need only two teams, why would a new player need SW once they have FF and Acheron? SW would just be a dead weight at that point, trying to be fitted forcefully in either of the teams. We have to remember that SW's weakness implant is not free, it comes at the cost of 1/4th our team's occupancy and I'm positive that most people would have any other E0S0 support/debuffer over SW as her ult is absolutley a nightmare to get, unless you have her sigLC or the nihility LC from patch 1.0 which also unattainable for new players btw. Just wanted to share my perspective, I understand if others feel differently.

Honestly, outside of Ruan Mei, i think must-pulls depend on the playstyle you want. Dots? Kafka/Black Swan. FUA? Aventurine, topaz, and Robin. Hypercarry? Sparkle and your favorite dps. Though i can see arguments for top-tier sustains like luocha and Fu Xuan.

For people brain exploting because the SW take, he is right more or less. Ignore the implant, the bugs,45% DEF shred and the element shred is huge alone and she can be built in break efect, and while the implant is random, it makes you able to do certain things that like RM you could not do before so i get his point, she breaks some mechanics. *BUT* Currently i think she is in that position only at E1 (And with the tutorial LC if posible, but E1 is enough) because E0 and/or without the tutorial LC she needs 4 turns to ult and thats pain.

Ruan Mei, Any limited 1 or 2 Limited Sustains (even Luocha as the point is the comfy level these units offer), Acheron/Kafka(one is giga broken and one enables a whole different playstyle).

I have four teams set up. Team 1 Acheron, Aventurine,Pela and Bronya ( using Bronya until i can get Sparkle) team 2 Black Swan, Kafka,Ruan Mei and Huohuo. Team 3 Robin, Adventure,Topaz and Dr Ratio. Team 4 Firefly,Ruan Mei, Gallagher and Stella. My three must pull is Firefly,Ruan Mei and Acheron

I’m a returner (but played only in 1.0 version) and I couldn’t find a precise pull recommendation. Most of what I found was “pull for whoever you want”. I felt kind of resigned + lost and your video showed up. Thank you very much, for the bottom of my heart! 😊

tbh, i haven't felt the need for ruan mei until firefly, the damage difference without her is very noticeable, and it seems that way for boothill and likely future break-oriented characters. for everything else, i feel like robin can exceed ruan mei in hypercarry, followup and other multi dps scenarios outside of dot

Telling people SW is a must pull right now isn’t great advice imo because Hoyo has shown that they aren’t afraid to give more and more players implant. Recommend her as a good debuffer, sure but let’s see who she’s on banner with when she reruns because I’m guessing the newer character will have more life to them. Add on top of that, if recommending her to new players they will never have Tutorial LC. I have her, I use her but she is niche. She has her good teams but putting her next to Ruan Mei is kind of nuts. Just my opinion. I feel like accounts easily outgrow needing SW as a universal implanter.

1. RM 2. HuoHuo - comfort cleanse, dmg buff, ER, heal 3. Aventurine - shields, CD buff, RES 4. FF - cheap, good teammates 5. Sparkle - dmg buff, lowers SPD requirements

Honestly, i don’t know if I’m glazing but I’ve been playing QQ a lot. Absolutely lover her but when I saw jingliu’s banner I went for her no hesitation. After getting her and fully building her I used her for two battles and two times in simulated universe and then never used her again. My QQ was doing more damage than her and because I have Sparkle she doesn’t run out of SP that easily and was doing even more damage in which even when I used Sparkle on Jingliu she was still doing less than my QQ. I might’ve continued using QQ even if Jingliu did more damage, since I have fun playing her, but still that dropped her chances of me playing her further other than for when I need extra characters in MOC.

Don’t have anyone in the must pull section apart from sw(will be getting rm) but I definitely agree with her placement. Don’t even use my silver but the fact she’s on my account makes me feel good about not pulling characters to match elements. 25:17 Kafka would definitely be on mine if you want to get into the dot. I’ve seen people say dots can work without her but the Kafkaswan duo is just too good.

The character that has had the biggest impact on my account is Kafka. Dot is still my go to team. It's typically the other team I'm worried about.

Finally someone who sees Silver’s value for an account. She was my first 5 star and cracked open the game for me.

I just so happen to get aventurine and his sig LC when I came back for the annivesary. i was at tb lv 35 at the time, but the moment i got him, my messy team just. don't. die. i exploded in the game all the way to lv 65 now. with him on the team, my only problem is now dealing enough dps

in case it has not yet been mentioned: building firefly's speed so fast (espiecially those who got her to be E2), turn after turn = helps build Acheron's Ultimate.

I think it's fair to say there is "must-pull"-units that exist, however it's obvious, that other specialized comps, that do not make use of them e.g. Follow-Up Comp, can and will clear if properly invested into. That said the units that have the most UNIVERSAL impact and provide adequate power to your account so that you can clear 95% of content are the ones below: 1. Acheron - who's seen it coming LOL. By current Standards a units with one of the if not THE highest Damage Ceiling per singular action. Extremely versatile when it comes to her damage-profile as she can clear AOE, Blast and also ST because of her amazing damage Distribution during Ult. Perfect for MoC, PF and even AS and also instantly clears any grindy modes with barely any buffs needes such as SU, DU, SD, G&G and any future extensions I'm sure. 2. Ruan Mei - in the realm of support's she is surely the queen that will stand atop the Harmony Meta for the forseeable future. She provides ample buffs among which are Speed% increase, Damage% up to 70%, Resistance penetration and she delays weakness broken enemies from recovering their weakness gauge which some saw as a negative for break teams but was evidently by the release of superbreak, a well planned step to amp up the Team Damage in those teams. The fact that you can slot her in evey single team in the game and she arguably provdies 90% the benefit as the optimal support would, with her often being that optimal support, just shows how her Kit is truly one step above the rest. Oh and also the she basically makes SU modes a kindergarten exercise lol. 3. Firefly - She by far has one of the most well rounded kits in the entire game and the only way to make her fall out of the Meta is to release a character that does what she does but with double the multipliers - im serious. Her Team building is very restrictive, sure but the team in itself is not that hard to assemble, among Firefly the only hard to attain part about her team is Ruan Mei - Harmony MC is free and her best SP provider/Sustain/debuffer/Sub DPS in Gallagher is on her Banner, you're bound to pull at least one but preferably 3 copies of him during the pulls it takes to even get her. She implants her own weakness and even partly ignores shield gauges, meaning she guranteed to break at some point and having a guranteed way to secure her win condition as a break DPS, she advances herself forward, has multiple ways to scale her break damage (Atk, Break effect, Break Efficiency) and she reaches her DPS Window extremely quick and barely has any downtime. She also dogwalks any mode imaginable so yeah that's that. HM - Aventurine & Kafka

19:40 Seele damage ceiling is among the the top 3 in the game and that's a undeniable fact, some could argue she's the best and i wouldn't disagree, but her damage floor is really low. No casual should pull for Seele if they don't like her, but for every meta player she is factualy a must pull character.

I only agree with the SW take if you're talking about brand new players. And I'm talking like they've only been playing for like 2-3 patches new. Any account older than that should already be starting to get a wide variety of characters to match the weaknesses of whatever enemy they're fighting. Silver's biggest contribution to an account is being able to implant the weakness that you need when you don't have the right characters. But when you eventually have those spots filled Silver falls off dramatically, to the point where many people prefer to use Pela as a defence shredder, or Luka as a breaker. IMO a much better must pull for a wider variety of accounts is someone like Fu Xuan or Aventurine, or any limited sustain really. FX can patch up poor crit ratios while eating dmg for the entire team, Aventurine provides the beefiest shields while increasing the teams eff res and dmg taken, and Huo Huo gives a good atk buff and free energy. These characters will provide more value to an account for a much greater amount of time than Silver ever could in my opinion. Disregard all of this if you want mono quantum like me lmao I love playing Silver

I got RM's LC even though I lost the 75/25 the first time around 😂 Just love her so much. The other character I'd like a second version of is Aventurine. He works in ANY team I have and it's always a struggle to decide which side needs him more.

Don't pull for seela unless you want to be disappointed. she feels soooo bad without proper play and good investment she's the most character I regret pulling for, save yourself the trouble.

Having SW on my account is so stressful in MOC cause I want to use her in both teams

Silver Wolf is integral to two of my stronger teams. She makes Acheron get her ult up super quickly and she gives all the debuffs to Ratio. Her talent is the thing I love. Implanting weakness is grand and her ult is awesome. However, the fact that she gives one of three different types of debuff with EVERY TYPE OF ATTACK is insane. Her basic gives a debuff! Each time (if you build her with EHR). I love SW. Got her on her initial run and on her rerun I pulled for Xueyi and got two more copies early and back to back. Zero regrets on my E2 💙

As soon as I heard about sliver implant I wanted her man. I was playing simulated world and you can get an implant buff and it's so fun and busted. I heard a character had that I wanted it. Also heard how you can actually run a mono team because of her so that's pretty cool.

As a returning player it made me happy to see Seele up there. I pulled for her first banner haven't played the game since really. Pulled for Firefly and Ruan Mei got them both. Life is good. Really enjoying this game again. Just waiting on Acheron banner or Silver Wolf whichever comes first!

Bruh, I started playing the game 4 days ago and got hella lucky with my pulls. I happen to sit on a Firefly, Ruan Mei, MC harmony and Gallagher team with almost no money spend. It completely destroys every content I struggled before getting Ruan Mei and MCH

Top 3 Characters Right Now: Ruan Mei - Makes breaking enemy shields easier. Silver Wolf - Can't go wrong having SW in one of your teams (Follow-up, Basic CRIT DPS, DoT, Super Break). Like Iyo said, you can have Support, Sub DPS & Break SW. Firefly - You don't have to worry about weakness types. I can't tell you how many times my IL Dan Heng/Jingliu struggled to clear content because I didn't have an on element character.

I got me an Achron. I got me a Firefly. I'm good, lets keep it mov'in.

Just started the game 10 days or so before Boothill left. His ad/trailer is what got me to start the game because he looked cool asf. I've managed to pull him and RMei, so it's good to know i don't need to chase any other characters anytime soon. I'll just save up for Aventurine or Silver wolf when they rerun so i can have a better sustain or debuffer/weakness implanter on the team. Boothill+Silver+Mei+Gallagher sounds like a team that keeps breaking enemies

I love the copers trynna call firefly mid😭 firefly puts up better numbers than acheron,break scales higher in a e0s0 situation firefly does like somewhere close to 23ish% more damage due to her ease in building,her LC is only like a 8-17% damage buff from her best F2P LC(its somwhere around there dont know off tops) and firefly teams synergize better cuz SUPERBREAK is so strong ruan mei is a must pull HMC is 100% free those are the 2 key pieces for firefly to be at nearly 100% acheron needs her LC aventurine/any sustain using trend of universal market e6 pela and another debuffer unless you get e2 for her to be anywhere near her numerical best,firefly is objectively better,easier to build due to not needing crit stats,better f2p options easier team building she is the perfect dps if you already have ruan mei thats literally ALL you need hmc is completely free and you dont need her lc or her e1 they are mainly just for ease of use,and as most the community knows atp ruan mei is the single most valuable character in the game stop the copium

As someone who is new to the game, I cannot fathom how would I have done so much progress without FF, she is an absolute monster and I pushed her to E2S1. The best part aside her kit is the ease of building as the main problem for characters like Acheron is the relics roll, I cannot get a second team going because I can't win the RNG on relics -_-. So personally my next hope is a rerun of DOT characters because I am already over the "Perfect rolled relics or 5k damage"

I am so upset with myself that I accidentally pulled Firefly instead of Ruan Mei for my guarantee on my F2P. I mean I don't mind having Firefly, but she isn't universal like Ruan Mei.

Because im f2p i can't afford to make a team for every situation, i currently have a firefly super break team and thats pretty universal with the weaknesses impant. But now i need a second team for stuff like moc and apocalyptic shadow so i was thinking of an acheron team for a second pretty universal team. Anyone have any input on why that might be a bad idea or other suggestions.

#1 no question is Acheron. Not only is she a broken nihility dps who breaks any weakness bar. But she straight up breaks yhe game by skipping battles all together, making it easier to farm

honestly, I find the game much easier when you got a character like Firefly who can implant weaknesses, allows one to focus one team regardless of mode

Seele is probably fucking hot with Fufu, Silver and Sparkle. I skipped her because I wanted Jing Yuan and never saw a reason to pick her up. I would love to play her… but… she’s going to get powercrept by a supreme 5 star destruction quantum unit.

I feel people massively underrate SW just because Pela exists, or cause BH/RM exist. SW was a monster, is a monster and will be a monster. She is low investment and high results, and there are hardly/if any areas where you need aoe def shred compulsively (outside PF). I think till date she has been with me for every MoC since 1.1, and enables whichever DPS I want to fuck around with for a half. And he res pen/shred is extremely rare for a unit to give to their teammates (at E0)

I regret not getting Silver 😔 The ones I dont have from this list are SW, Aventurine & Boothill. Tbh, I'd exchange my Lunae for any of those 3 any day. I have just never been able to get him built properly & function well or clear anything with him if I'm being honest. I'd take the other 3 any day if I could. Still, I'll pull Silver next time she comes around.

I personally feel that Fu Xuan should have been mentioned as well, she isn't super crazy like Aventurine and against the max bosses you can definitely die, but she feels like a pseudo-harmony character to me, with a teamwide crit rate boost (and crit damage at e1, but I have her e0s0 lol) that really takes some of the edge off of the relic grinding or just serves as an extra boost, as well as alright defense against CC (though it is dependent on your enemy NOT doing a minimum of 3 freezes in a row; looking at you, AS Cocolia), and surprisingly decent toughness damage on top of that. As for my top 5, I would probably put - 1. Ruan Mei. I wasn't a big fan of her, but her power is undeniable, and might be one of the most future-proof supports given just HOW MUCH she does. 2. Sparkle. Especially if you don't have Bronya, she is great for a substantial teamwide damage buff and character specific action advance, with an easy ult to get consistently enough that Skill Points don't matter nearly as much. Definitely enables teams that wouldnt work otherwise. 3. Acheron. I don't have her, but ever since the beginning I knew just how powerful she was and would be, I lost the 50/50 though. 4. Gallagher. I don't know if putting a 4 star in my top 5 list is exactly fair, but I think that the ease of pulling him adds to his importance to the list. The man is an absolute beast of a unit, almost serving as a sub-dps in his own right on super break teams, as well as having an astonishing method of healing, making it less dependent on him getting his turn before your ally dies. Plus, an aoe ult that is great for breaking, and gives him 100% action advance is crazy. And Besotted, his debuff, causing enemies to take more damage is just amazing. 5. Firefly/Boothill. Crazy damage at low investment, with their own methods of implanting enemy weaknesses. Will likely always serve as a good backup dps, if not your main dps, due to their sheer power, and they work amazingly in the current break damage meta, which will likely only be expanded on before it falls off; and I use that lightly, as while she isn't on this list, I would still consider Seele to be worth pulling, and she is already considered to have 'fallen off' despite her power, and I think the same will be true with FF and Bootyhill whenever their time comes.

I'd argue that Kafka should be around Boothill level since she's archetype enabling. Yes her premium team isn't cheap but units like Gui and Sampo are great until you get there. You can play a dot team without BS and Mei, you can't play a dot team without Kafka.

Acheron is the best and she can potentially scale even further team-comp wise once Nihility units with high debuff frequency get released. Jiaoqiu of course is her next support.

SW is the definition of a steal character. Great if you get her at a discounted price or out of nowhere, but if you have Acheron and Firefly she's not necessary. That said she's a good side grade slot in for Acheron teams due to her ease of applying debuffs, especially if you don't have Resolution for your Pela, but even with that you can run both.

My top 3 must pull is ruan mei, sparkle and silver wolf

Acheron/Firefly make all the fights easy. Ruan Mei turns them into God. I say this as a returning player who only beat the Belobog arc and quit right when the story goes to Xianzhou.

Notice how the the top 3.5 units either directly or indirectly affect the break mechanic in some form. I guess that'll be a parameter when looking at the value of future units.

Silver Wolf has seamlessly moved from team to team for me from release to now. She seems to always have a place supporting a Meta team.

I really like IPC Emergency team with Robin as the harmony unit. It's just funny seeing multiple follow-up attacks while bopping to her song. Very high investment team though.

Love Firefly, but Jesus Christ, the weakness implant and colorless breaking on top makes her too strong. Firefly would've been perfectly fine with just the Weakness implant, then we could just say she's a blast version of Boothill.

My 3 must pulls would easily start with Mommy Mei then i would get aventurine/or huohuo if you have jingliu and then acheron/firefly

I started to play almost 4 months ago, during Acheron's debut. (I think was the right time to start the game) I currenctly have: Acheron + LC Luocha Jingliu + LC Fu Xuan Ruan Mei + LC Firefly. Of course I did everything I could in the game to get all these characters in a short space of time and also was lucky cuz I lost the 50/50 only twice (pity 77 and pity 2)

My personal top 3 choices are RM, Robin and Acheron because they are busted for 0 cycle enablers. RM, most versatile sp Robin, lowest cycle clear can be achieved with wind set plus energy Regen team and good speed for that ultimate abuse. Acheron, the goat of all dps unit that can clear just about any content with perfect team set up. * Pls don't play DoTcheron, she won't shine much except PF.

I play since May 2023. My top 3 are the 3 characters that most improved my account at the time I've pulled them (in chronological order): Fu Xuan, Ruan Mei, Acheron.

Yeah most high end teams are rainbow so its not guaranteed to implant the weakness we want. Silverwolf also has energy problems pre e1. Her burst is st and niwadays most MoC has 2 elite enemies side by side. She cannot get Ultimate immediately after her first turn which is energy loss. Her ult gives res pen but rm does that simply with her ult and thats more accessible. Theres a reason why Pela is Acherons best teammate and not silverwolf. Her amp is questionable at best and like you said with so many brute force dps out there, what’s the need for weakness implant

Seele really is a feast or famine type character. If you can't hit certain breakpoints with her to proc her resurgence, she loses SO much value. Also, as a 1.0 unit her own eidolons are really, really bad meaning that if you want to push her limits then you need to pull support eidolons instead (many players will pull DPS eidolons instead). I also think that her greatest strength, which is her flexibility and adaptability, is also her greatest weakness. Characters with very basic playstyles, like Acheron, are nearly impossible to misplay with simply because there are very few meaningful decisions you actually have to make during combat in order to maximize her potential. With Seele you need to be thinking about what moves your team will be taking before she even enters battle. Speed tuning your team and considering turn orders after action advance is something pretty much no unit other than Seele needs to actively consider to work at all, so it often works against her if not planned properly.

I love how I have all 4 of these characters. I only pulled them because I like how they looked. Well only Ruan Mei is the exception. I just spent a few pulls and happen to get her.

The 3 most Valueable supports, RM, Sparkle, Robin, (SW is a nice to have for any scneario she's useful in but she's not more Valuable then the Sparkle/Robin unless your new) Top 5 Most Valueable DPS: Acheron, Firefly, Boothill, DHIL, Jingliu (Acheron above FIrefly because her Technique is busted) Top 3 Most Valueable sustain: Huohuo, Aventurine, Fu Xuan Most Valueable Sustains (No banner sustain): Gallagher, Gepard, Bailu Most Valueable 4 stars: Pela, Tingyun, (PF honorable mention (Herta) Most Valueable Standard, Himeko, Bronya, Clara

Mei and Acheron are the only real must pulls.. Characters that fuck with the mechanics of the game are the only ones you HAVE to get.. Aventurine and FF are close to that spot.. Black Swan is starting to become the most underrated character in the game in that respect

IB dan heng and boothill will forever be favorite characters purely off gameplay (characterization is a bonus) and thats with having Ruan mei, firefly and SW

Top 3 is Robin or Sparkle , Ruin Mei, Topaz. My top 3 Cause things like break and DPS character can be replace but having the Foundation for a team is the most important.

Been play HSR for 1 week maybe 2, kinda slowed down due to 1.1 and ZZZ but I got Ruan Mei, she feels really strong… definitely better than my first pull gepard who doesn’t feel great.. Feels good that the ones on the top are the ones I want a whole lot… especially Silver Wolf. So getting to pick the waifus I would have picked AND they are the good choice, just feels like a win. Got to try adventurine and Seele in support and they feel ridiculously broken. Be an immortal god and give your power to your team and Ms It’s Always My Turn To Atk. The only character left that I care about a lot that’s a 5* is HuoHuo. Is she still good? I’m going to try to get firefly and then I’ll save for Acheron and my #1 wanted char from the start which was SilverWolf. But from all the trailers HuoHuo is definitely the cutest character in the game.

Recently found your channel and I've been enjoying your content and your whole vibe man 🙏 I recently got back into the game after a long hiatus. I started it when it first came out and got burned for some time. I have been watching videos to get myself back up to speed and, most importantly, have a good guide of how to get my account up to snuff. I have been getting it slowly but surely. I just wanted to say I started to really invest in my Seele and I am seeing the differences. It's gonna take some time before I can consistently hit those 100k and up numbers with her ult but, I am half way up and It's only making my love for the character grow. I always thought she was a great character. I am glad to see that I am not the only one and see the proof of the heights she can reach with a good amount of investment. Recently getting Raun mei just makes me more excited. Keep putting the work in and thank you for your time and dedication man.

I agree with everything you said except one thing, SW is the only unit I regret pulling sadly. I don't use her, ever. I find Pela (E6) to be better than her in most scenarios.

Must pulls for me: 1) Ruan Mei. I pulled her originally because I thought she looked nice. Having played with her on so many teams, I find it hard to play without her haha. 2) Acheron. I was just fishing for E2 Gallagher, but man, did that woman coming swinging hard out the gate. She is in my top 5 favorite characters in the game. 3) Don't Own, but Aventurine. Gepard was a game changer for my account when I initially got him, and I thought I'd be with him forever, but trying out Aventurine with Ratio during the story in 2.2, my eyes rolled back into my head with delight at how easy his shields replenished. Gunning for him on his rerun. The following is debatable, but for the DoT lovers out there 4&5) Kafka & Black Swan. My main team. I'm in good company whenever I take these ladies out for a spin. If you don't like DoT, then idk who to put in the last two spots haha.

#1 Mei is my only must pull. #2 Firefly (implant weakness and build is more friendly for newer players) #3 Acheron (she's just op) I'd put Sparkle and Robin above Adventurine. You can use any sustain really, he's just the best one. Gallagher is a great 4 star option. Then you just need 1 more 5 star sustain. More dps will always come out. The supports are op.

2:30 I think there is a huge difference between the two. Sure the hypercarry was centralized around sparkle and bronya but ruan mei was still viable and perfectly useable in those situtions. Firefly quite literally NEEDS mei and all the other limited harmony characters are straight up unusable.

Must pull: Ruan Mei - obviously Acheron or FF (if you have Ruan already) - both power through everything Robin - she s damn OP

Mei is a must. Fire fly is a must, ms i don’t need energy to ult is a must. (Debatable but Sparkle is a must)

For me, the Top 3 are 1. Ruan Mei 2. Aventurine 3. Acheron/Firefly This gives you a top performer in every major role, and you can sub in 4* characters or some Standard 5*s if you have them to supplement teams where needed. Mei just has too much universal value, she's great on every team, Aventurine makes everyone unkillable, and Acheron/Firefly are, with support, the strongest characters in the game bar none. While I definitely vibe with the Silver Wolf pick, for me, I think Aventurine as a recommendation is important for new and more casual players who are going to need a sustain.
