Additional: The Guerini Invictus deserves a spot in the Top Dozen Zoli also make a very competent competition gun The Rizzini 460 is a belter and would be worthy of note as well Kolar are very popular in the USA In fact, if you throw the Yildiz Pro in there we can have a Top 10 boss actioned competition guns. To add further clarity, the shooting videos on this channel are sponsored by Longthorne Gunmakers, and we love them. Extrapolate from that what you will.

35 years ago I started shooting competitive North American Trap. My 'plain Jane' Lanber 12 gauge (non-ejector) wasn't going to cut it and I bought a third hand Remington 3200 Trap model. I recall paying about $500 CDN. About 200,000 rounds later, it's still busting clays and bringing home the shiny hardware plus a few bucks in options money.
@parrisgeorge9708

The 3200 for a VERY long time had the fastest lock time of any shotgun on the market. I don't know if that's still the case but overall they were and still are for the people they work for very very good guns.

I started shooting with an 870 Remington pump which I shot 200 rounds a week for years. Keep it clean and there is very little wear on it. Remington quality has slipped over the years; the 3200 is a nice gun for sure.@@parrisgeorge9708

Krieghoff is the highest quality shotgun ever produced and also one of the most expensive. Many people aspire to own them. Kreighoff also uses the world’s top shotgun engravers such as G. Stoegner (aka G. Stogner) who has created 7 Krieghoff “Guns of the Year,” more than any engraver. Recently, a G. Stoegner gun sold for more than $100,000 US on the secondary market. The #2 Kreighoff engraver is Jana Schilling, whose 2009 Krieghoff Gun of the Year also sold for $110,000 US at Pacific Sporting Arms in February 2024 (call and ask them). Kreighoff shotguns are a good investment and store of value, like high end collectible cars - the better engravers almost always bring a financial premium when they are resold. Other top Krieghoff engravers are #3. Goeser, 4. Reich, 4. Nonn (tie), and 5. Creative Arts.

I recently bought a 12 gauge Franchi Instinct L to take to my local sporting clays range and it is absolutely glorious! I know it doesn't have the fit and finish as the guns mentioned in this video do, but for someone looking to get into the sport, the $1200 price tag on them is very welcoming.

Hey mate, your channel caused an impluse purchase on a shotgun... I ended up buying a Tikkakoski M17 just because it was weird. 27" fixed chokes (full and half), 2.75" chambers, sling studs, automatic safety and ejectors. There aren't too many floating around but it's a nice hunting shotgun. Good morning Johnny a year and half ago I picked up a Beretta 694 12bore. This gun shoots well but last weekend I noticed a crack in the gun stock Just below the safety selector in the pocket were the receiver meets the wood. I know alot of folk that bought the same gun it's a well balanced gun, some of the people I know are having troubles with the triggers and a few having cracked wood issues. Have you heard about these issues in UK ??? Great show again I always appreciate your show

That is unfortunately the common place for Berettas to crack if they do. Not heard anything bad about the triggers, do you have more details.

One of the people I shoot with had trigger problems with his early 694 when it was new. He'd gotten it and it wouldn't shift barrels. He contacted Beretta and they had him send it to Cole Guns for work. The shop replaced some out of spec pieces and converted it to a mechanical shift unit. He's had no trouble since and has a bit over 10,000 rounds down the tubes.
@rickdevine4150
@rickdevine4150 2 года назад
I have a 694 and no cracks! The triggers are crisp enough for a mid range range gun , the only complaint for me is that for the first few weeks I accidentally hit the barrel selector while opening the gun top lever and my thumb would strike the selector this happened several times while shooting trap I wanted the bottom barrel and accidentally was selecting the top barrel. Called pull and of course click, I got that worked out just through use and being careful not to move the selector. I am left handed and it’s a left hand model so maybe it’s a lefty thing . I do enjoy the gun and am impressed you mentioned it in your review it’s not a DT-11 but it’s dam close for half the quid
@user-lg7hz2op4y
@user-lg7hz2op4y Год назад
I love my 694 no cracks no problems and the trigger is sweet crisp 3 1/2 lb pull. The only things broken are more clays for me than ever before. With about 4000 rounds in I have never switched the barrel selector unintentionally. It requires a deliberate action to move mine. Maybe it is a lefty thing Rick.

Which is better the Browning 725 sporter adjustable from 2021 (the new one) or the Miroku MK38 grade 3 adjustable limited Edition? Because I‘ve seen a lot of reviews comparing the MK38 with the regular 525. The new MK38 grade 3 is roughly as much as a 725 grade 1 I think. I do not know if the rise in the price of the Miroku 38 grade 3 ist mostly because of the wood and the adjustable Stock. I do not really care to much about the wood grade but for a adjustable comb. So the only MK38 that comes in consideration for me is the grade 3. So even though the MK38 is mostly compared to the 525 you put it in the list of the best competition guns and not the 525 or 725 but the Pro Sport and the Ultra XS Pro which makes sense. The new 725 is as far as I know a step up from the 525. So the MK38 is compared to the 525 but most people say the MK38 is better and the 725 is also a step up from the 525. So again after all this maybe confusion text because the 725 and the MK38 grade 3 adjustable are roughly the same price and are both better than the 525 which is the best?

The fact that non comp civilians will pay 10k plus for a clay gun makes me want to puke.
