My brother was on a very aggressive stiff board to learn. It was my dad’s old board from 2009. I took him in to get him a Capita Outerspace as with a freestyle flex it would be a bit more forgiving. He rides about 25 days a year and wasn’t getting much better trying to overcome the stiffness on the old board. Thank you for this list man

As a beginner getting into intermediate territory, thanks for you reviews, I settled on upgrading to a K2 Gateway Pop with Rome Katanas. Based on all of the info, I’m very confident that this set up will round out the limitations of my first set up. Thanks again!

Revisiting this list. I have the yes basic paired with ultras, nidecker rift boots, and 2 months in from scratch as brand new boarder (I took 7 private lessons), I am now able to do black/double black in my "local" small resort, which makes me wonder what should be my next board be? which is one step up but not too aggressively crazy? Any suggestions please? Thanks!

Hi any views on the Yes Typo or Bataleon whatever. I guess I am a Lower intermediate rider (I can carve, turn, box ride, jump, grab, 180, flat 180/360, ride switch, and have fun)? What an All mountain board. Love you content especially the top 5s - keep up the great work!

I’d like to see some brand breakdowns, quick shot board lineup breakdowns by rider ability level and quality of product relative to price competitors or just within the brand’s own lineup. Then same for boots/bindings.

Loved the video. Great reviews and breakdowns of these boards. Been looking at the frontier. Looking for a new board. Been on a 9 year hiatus. How would you compare it to the Yes Standard? I don’t hit the park much. Just like to cruise. I like a board that’s good at carving and nimble. Has to be good in ice since I am on the east coast. Read both the standard and frontier are good in ice. Any suggestions?

Hi angry, i currently ride lib tech box scratcher 156cm 2020. I've realized I dont like park that much, but love the rush of tree runs and high speed carving down groomers. any suggestions on another board to help me turn nimbly through the trees and not nose flap all the way down the groomers when I'm speeding? I am a higher beginner and last year I got the Capita Indoor Survival, after riding the K2 Zeppelin for many years. The board is awesome, however since I like mostly freeride it felt a bit too soft at the higher speed turns. Do you think it was a mistake, any suggestions on a different board?

I actually really like a list of this style. Someone like myself is fortunate enough to ride out west and in the east. I try to keep 2 of these types of boards in my quiver for east coast riding. When I'm going through the trees in the east even on a powder day and yes they do happen here and they are glorious (hail Jay Peak, VT), Id rather hit a buried rock with my K2 Raygun than my Jones Storm Wolf. Probably gonna replace my raygun with a Ride Agenda. Oh and I own the Warden... LOVE IT!!!

Is there a board you’d recommend for someone who can already eurocarve, hit jumps, and charge but wants to learn how to butter, do spins, and start hitting rails? I tried doing some 360 nose butters/presses on my berzerker this week and it kicked my ass 😅 (I landed my first front 3 off a side hit and now I got the itch to do more).

Hey, i'm like low intermediate and actually riding a Capita OSL, had a pretty good offer on it but could only take it in 156 and i'm feeling that doesnt perfectly suits me. 150/152 would probably be better i guess (1m78 and 64 kg ). There's some sales on Rome shop, would the warden or the freaker suit me well ? I manly rides groomers and trying to increase speed (around 60/70 km/h at this stage) and starting carving. Icy conditions on mornings. Thanks a lot for your RU-vid channel, it helps a lot and no problem if you don't have time to answer ! Greetings from France !

I'm taking any advice, and thanks for your previous answer 😉

I've just bought a 2023 K2 Raygun (Standard, not cambered) to replace my hand-me-down Burton rocker that's probably 15 years old. Would this board be a decent upgrade?
