Moonshine Racers seems to be a much better racer than many games on this list that got better placed. Better graphics, fluidity, control and gameplay than Power Drift and Turbo Outrun for sure.
Paul Eales I thought so! I couldn't remember how many there were or if there were different Lotus games and people referred to them differently. There's a fair few awesome racing games for the Amiga but I am with you, Lotus 1 is awesome.
power drift on the c64 wasn't too bad, a lot of amiga driving games are really showing their age. hopefully i can see something that will justify getting a gotek
...and out of 273 driving-based games on the Amiga (not including Car-Vup, Technocop etc), nobody voted for City Cars at 0:23 either. Perhaps it had something to with commercial availability. To be fair, Power Drift is ranked lower the Turbo Outrun.
+jim krom - In Display tab I have double line mode and triple buffering, on a screen windowed at 720x568. Screen centering H and V. In Filter tab I have Null filter selected at x1. Other than that I screen grab at 640 x 480 to maintain as many pixels as possible, and at 4:3. This then goes full screen height on a widescreen TV; which isnt always the same as running a game on a widescreen TV from native, due to several factors.
I really do feel sorry for Southern Staters, they are rather the butt of the jokes aren't they. I find the graphics on Power Drift look amazingly disorientating.
+William Fenton - I think its all in good humour, as there really were people who spoke like that in the 1920s and 1930s when moonshining was the big thing. (I dont know why they had a modern cop car though). I come from deepest Lancashire, and we are also the butt of jokes due to our slow speech and oddly skipping words n letters in owa talkin.
+LemonTubeAmiga Indeed, I'm from the West Midlands so.. The only driving game I used to play back then was Chase HQ 2 on the C64, the music on that was amazing.
