Here's the myths debunked in this video:
1. Heavy hands make heavy horses
2. Horse's need tons of desensitizing to be safe
3. Bigger bits give you more control
4. You have to use each bit differently
5. Trotting back to the barn is bad
6. Spurs and bits are cruel
7. You have to go slow with horses
8. You have to make your horse respect you

Good clarification on the way a horse thinks and how you need to be understanding of how he thinks in order to achieve your goal.

Another excellent explanation of how the mind of the horse works. You always get me to see things in a different light. I don’t think I’ve ever blamed the horse for not responding to my cues, I always figured I was doing something wrong. Now I’m suspecting my timing is off and I’m confusing the horse. Great videos and I’m always looking forward to the next one!

This was a very helpful video. I have a mule that I have had for a year. He is my first mule, and after 20 years away from horses, I was WAY over mounted (and still am to a lesser extent). I follow several mule trainers and they frequently talk about "leadership" with mules to build confidence in the mule but no one has explained it as succinctly as you just did. Thank you.

This is a how to live your life lesson, and thank God I had James Morgan train my horses when I literally knew nothing! Deacon and Sir are blessed with this expert, cowboy make the the wrong thing hard and the right thing easy through timing and most of all horse knowledge. I am grateful people like you Carson James are out there🙏❤️😎

Excellent. Loved it! Thanks for the good video. I KNOW when my horse does something wrong it is my fault. My horse is a 4-year old who does everything fantastically well after only just about 3 months training. But he has bucked me off twice and each time it was my fault. I pushed him to hard to do something new too quickly and he became so uncomfortable he lost control of his emotions. It takes a lot of concentration to focus on his process.

This is everything. My only comment would be that aggressive spurs and harsh bits DO exist, and the human ego and desire for fast results/purse money, along with an unwillingness to put the time in (and take responsibility for perceived "flaws" in the horse) makes them so much worse (*Cough* Barrel racers *cough*)

I do better when I think of "soft" hands, or "understanding" hands rather than light hands, in that light hands can become indecisive hands. Just a thought.
