I'm going also this coming August, my 3rd time in Kuala Lumpur. I love Malaysia so much. Malaysia is my SECOND HOME. Malaysia have a special place in my heart. LoveLoveLove MALAYSIA 🇵🇭❤️🇲🇾
It depends where you dine, but most restaurants are very affordable. We ate out in restaurants most of the time and you can expect to pay between 28RM - 50RM depending on what you eat. Some places like malls and outdoor food stalls are cheaper :)
The statue at the entrance of Batu Caves (4:16) is not Lord Hanuman. It is of Lord Kumar (Shiva's son) also known as Lord Murugan in the Southern part of India.
Your portrayal of Kuala Lumpur is captivating! The fusion of skyscrapers, malls, temples, and nature is truly remarkable. Your week of exploration must have been unforgettable. Excited to visit the country this year and draw inspiration from your travel guide and tips. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Hello, thank you so much for the comment and support. KL is a fantastic city that's so diverse and unique in its own right. You'll have an incredible time! Ps if you're in need of a great hotel, we couldn't recommend The Journal hotel enough. You're right in the heart of Bukit Bintang, making it a great base to explore. Susie
This is the best video I've seen of Kuala Lumpur because you actually show the attractions! Sadly, many RU-vidrs show their own face more than the attractions they're meant to be featuring.
Thank you, Timothy. We're all about making helpful, evergreen travel videos for our viewers, that'll help plan an upcoming trip. If you need any advice planning a trip, or need any more information - just ask :) Susie
Hello! Thank you for watching our Kuala Lumpur Travel Guide :) Let us know if you need any advice ahead of your travels - happy to help! Safe travels. Susie
Hello. There are various tours you can do in KL that are organised. We recommend checking out Klook and Get Your Guide for the different options available :)
Will be going to KL in mid july with two friends. Your video is very well done and I will subscribe! If you get to Tokyo let me know. Canadian long term Tokyo area expat! What area in KL has the nightlife, live music etc? I'm a musician!
Hi there! We're planning a trip to Tokyo next year, tied in with a trip to see family in South Korea (Seoul, Busan, Daejeon and Jeju). Let us know if you have any recos 😀 as for the best place to stay, we definitely recommend Bukit Bintang. It's lovely, fun and super central. We stayed at the Journal hotel and loved it!
@@ToucanTravellers Thanks for the reply. Tokyo hotel prices have gone up significantly due to the influx of tourists which is likely tied to the low yen. Rooms are usually small but you aren't coming here to hang out in your hotel! Will you be staying in Tokyo? Shinjuku, Roppongi and Shibuya are all sorta happening areas of Tokyo! Keep me in the loop please! I'm in Chiba city which is nearer to Narita airport!
Hello, the best times to visit Kuala Lumpur is generally between the months of December - February. Temperatures are generally slightly cooler and there's little - no rainfall. We visited in January this year. The aquarium is located beneath the convention centre :)
Great Video. For me Kuala Lumpur was not very special when i was there. Maybe it is because i visited Taiwan before, which is so much better than Malaysia, especially because it is clean there.
Hello, thank you for your comment. We organised the entire trip by ourselves. We had a look online and other videos to see what the best attractions in KL were, and planned our itinerary accordingly. If you need any travel advice or have any questions, just let me know. Susie
Hi, i've had a quick look and i'd say most are handicap accessible. There's just a few that I wouldn't recommend such as the Batu Caves as there's many steep steps to walk up, and perhaps Thean Hou Temple. KL is a very modern city, so you should be able to get around with little - no issues. Some of the side streets are a little rugged, compared to the main city area of Bukit Bintang, but the majority are fine :)
Hello! First of all, thank you for the great video! Can I ask you the situation about mosquitos there? Is there a lot of mosquitos? Are they "agressive" or with some repellent we should be fine? Thank you!!
Hi Vanessa, thank you for watching our video on the wonderful KL :) We get a lot of questions about mosquitos in the city. We didn't witness many of them during our trip in January, but we always used insect repellent to keep them away. We always recommend using it, just in case. Be sure to purchase mosquito repellent that contains deet - it's far more effective. Susie
@@ToucanTravellers thank you for your reply! I believe people worry about mosquitos, I know I do 😅 We Will definetly use a lot of repellent with deet 😁

I just found your channel. You are one of the few who don't usually show the hosts eating, talking, or looking at something Seems to be all about them. Frustrating for me. So thanks. Other "no host" faces. "Side trip life", "Buzzing Pattaya", mostly, "Edgy Expat". ( But sure you are beautiful, of course).
