Two weeks after clearing Leyndell, beating Margot, and back tracking a few times finding secrets... I hear about the well with the ladder and discover the hidden world underneath. This game is phenomenal.
Definitely is. I actually waited to go down there first playthrough because I thought dung eater was going to be a secret boss type thing. Came back before finishing the next area and oof I'm glad I waited, area is hard
@@fredv7349 yeah prepare to die a lot and I don't mean from bosses if you want to get to the very bottom of the area. Even the very bottom then connects to another section in the deep roots if you haven't done that other area before from going through an illusionary wall
@@john_Reilly2027 yea I have completed it (I think). I know I exactly what shaft you are talking about. Most annoying super Mario part of the game. I was thinking something extraordinary must be at the bottom of this. Lol
One you missed: Starting at the Fortified Manor, First Floor site of grace, go left as you enter the main hall and go to the closed doors. Open them to a courtyard with two Abductor Virgins. To the left in the main courtyard area is the Stormhawk Axe. Follow the covered path around the courtyard to find a Somber Smithing Stone (6). Through the courtyard is the lift that takes you to the Divine Bridge site of grace.
You also have to use that lift in order to activate the portal to the secluded tower. The secluded tower is where you can activate Malenias great rune.
What makes the Black Bow so special and an item to be kept in mind is, that despite being a Longbow it utilizes the Shortbow moveset, which makes it faster in getting off shots. Something to keep in mind, if you wanna run a ranged/quality build.
black bow is definitely the best bow for midrange and multiple enemy groups its honestly the best bow in the game right now for anything that's not 10 miles away
Yeah exactly, black bow has barrage but with better dmg and range than shortbows. Pretty sure nothing is better for poisoning/rotting enemies. Possibly rain of arrows but only vs big and slower enemies.
Oh man... I just beat the main boss(es) of this area last night. Most of my time in Leyndell was just blind panic running to try to find the next Site of Grace. Rinse/Repeat. I did get to the Volcano Manor invade spot but really, I bet I missed most of this area. Glad to see this vid pop up!
To get the prayer book, you can go out the door that leads to the black knife assassin fight and hop onto the roof to the left. Then you can climb back in through the window.
Just got through Leyndell today, can't believe I actually got everything! Your guides have pushed me to be far more attentive to the environment. Even if this episode wasn't as useful to me, I'm sure it will help a lot of people. Thank you so much, and keep it up!
@ 15:00 yes you can get to the hanging chair and prayer book another way ( you got lucky with your jump) when you’re up there trying to make the jump and failing what you do is- Go out the only walk way up there hug the left wall as you go out DO NOT go up the next big branch- stay hugging left wall.. you’ll then see some roof tops go on them staying left as you hop on to the rooftop there will be an open window go in it and you’ll see two little short ways to access the hanging chair. Good day. Thanks for the video & tips.
Somebody whos doing it now I got to the boss and died in the process almost as many times as against rhadan now I learn that I need to go back and do many many things I feel you
Seriously, I watch so many videos on mute, but your commentary is just so good for so many reasons. It's hard to verbalize, but it really feels like you're guiding friends through a game or something. I think I have 98% of everything on my original character from launch, but I just restarted a new one to get ready for the DLC, and I am really enjoying "rediscovering" the game thanks to your guides. Seriously, well done.
I was like "aw sweet, I managed to get everything myself" - until your very last tip, which is exactly the type of blade I could use right now! Thank you!!!
HERE WE GO, IT'S A BIG ONE!! Damn this took a while, I really hope you enjoy!! ALSO... This isn't just me trying to be all like "OMG you won't believe tip number 8!!" - I actually genuinely urge you to clear everything thoroughly in the Capital, as it'll be inaccessible in it's current form later in the game, so there is a lot of miss-able items!
you're helping me a ton to find those things i actually missed, i'm in my first playthrough and making it as thorough as i can, and this guides are just what i need
@@lewismircetic838 SPOILERS AHEAD: after killing the fire giant in Hilltops of the Giants, Leyndell burns and that changes tje layout of the city, making some parts inaccessible, that includes the big lance where you find the legendary spear
Begging to differ... the black bow is one of the best in the game. It has the reach and power of a longbow, but has rapid shot on it. If you use status arrows, I.e. rot, bleed, poison, it is a must have. I used it exclusively after I got it.
Thank you! I would like to mention that there is also a unique helmet you can get called the Imp Helm (Corpse). It raises your faith by 2, and is very creepy looking. If you go to the huge door that leads to the next area, follow the wall to the right, before going through, and you’ll run into it.
The one I’ve been waiting for Currently there right now (I think I have the slowest elden ring play through, really taking my time without guides on quests or locations till I’m done with it to where I just get a headache looking over areas) About 200 hours in and I just got to mountain top of giants in my very enjoyable slow burn play through Love the game
Personally I blew thru this area recently but I have skipped a large cut of the story on my primary character. I decided I’m using him to kind of force my way through the game more roughly and I have another one I’m being more observant with.
This area also has a huge plot twist actually. Turtle pope tells you about the Radagon statue (it's down the stairs from an exit from where you fought that spectral Elden Lord fellow) which has a clue related to that prayerbook you picked up nearby - Won't spoil it, but if you care about the story it's essential I'd say
16:48 - P.S: remember that turtle pope telling you about secrets in statue... check out the message there...and have in mind there is a spell/incantation that dispells all magic. Just a tip for anybody reading this :D
A couple of things to add: In the street section below the first seedbed curse, there are a bunch of corpses with loot, but there are a bunch of soldiers milling about. At 3:16, where you get the 8 tarnished golden sunflowers, before jumping down to the stonesword key, go the other way and go down the stairs. There is a lion enemy and a perfumer. Lion gives an old fang, somber smithing stone 6 (and one more thing I can't remember). You can loot a Hero Rune [2] on the corpses there. Across the way you will see a corpse over the chasm. The only way to get there is to climb up the erdtree, and instead of going to the godfrey room, go down the branch on the other side. You have to kill a few miranda blooms but the corpse has a smithing stone 6.
Wow, I blind played yesterday on Leyndell for the first time and boy! I got so freaking lost and overwhelmed. I stumbled there for hours but imagine my surprise when I found today with this video that I found EVERYTHING!!! (everything but the Bolt of Gransax lol! I'm so glad that I got sleepy and left over somewhere in the forgotten woods after a boss. Gotta return to the capital and grab that sucker today)
One thing I'd add to this area that's not really too important is activating the lift to Divine Bridge. There is no real utility to activating the lift once you get teleported there from Tower of Return but it's just a cool moment. It's one of the side doors in the big roundtable room on the right when entering. Two of those virgin abductors to be aware of, and as far as loot goes there's an axe.
I’ve watched all of your videos so far and they’re great and super helpful. But I just needed to comment bc your welcome at the beginning always makes me smile. I know it’s just an intro, a RU-vid staple, but your voice is always so sincere and genuine that it feels heartfelt and it puts me in a good mood. So I just wanted to say thank you, and I hope that wherever you are, you’re having a wonderful day too 😉
There is a pretty important thing you missed with the goldmask and corhyn quest progression. Using the law of regression in a specific spot on the ground will reveal a really critical piece of lore and information that you need to give to goldmask while you’re in the capital. You can’t unlock the golden order ending without doing this. Law of regression incantation also reveals any illusory walls so instead of going around hitting every wall in a dungeon you can cast it once and it will unmask any of them.
@@fernandocamilo5798 there is a text message on the ground that looks like a regular message from another player but it’s a message in the game. You have to stand exactly on the message and use the incantation law of regression. The spot is on the pathway in front of the statue of Radagon. Use the erd tree sanctuary site of grace and go down the lift the statue and the message is just outside the lift. Once you have the answer to the message which is a huge lore bombshell you go back to goldmask and corhyn. Make sure you tell goldmask the answer I almost missed out because goldmask never speaks and corhyn wouldn’t take the message but you have to tell goldmask while he’s still in the capital near the coliseum. If you finish farum Azula before this then you’re locked out.
This is my first "Souls" type game. I finally made it through the Capital and believed I found alot, until I came across this video. This game is MASSIVE!
Thank you for this invaluable series! It has helped so much as a checklist and for the surprise finds that I would’ve completely missed. I’m sure these videos take a lot of time and effort but they are some of the best Elden Ring content on RU-vid!
Recently started my first play through, your vids have been a huge entertaining help. For anyone having issues with the putrid worm, you can range it with a bow from the roof where you get the black bow. Spells won't reach unfortunately; well not mine. He will occasionally charge you to do his AOE, just stay to the backside of the roof. Just watch out for the nom nom zombies if you fall.
I don't know how but I do maybe 70% of the hidden ones with ease but for the life of me I never thought of jumping up on the dragon. I was stuck and just started the sewers. For me sometimes its literally just the most obvious stuff I get stuck on and just smack my face after watching your videos. Thanks
Thank you so much for creating this series. I find myself watching your guides, pausing the playback, then switching back to the game and finding those items.
Im not as much of a completionist for Elden ring, but I need to level farm for endgame content and hate how boring usual rune farming methods are, so using your videos to pick up the extra runes (and some great items I missed) has been a way better alternative, so thank you.
Good timing! I made it here today, spent a few hours running round bumping into enemies at every corner and had enough so I went and whupped Margott and Godfrey. Didn't realise how over levelled I was for this area, Margott and Godfrey were stupid easy and it wasn't because I'm good at this game. Now I have to go back and clean up.
Thanks for this. Had my first foray with the capital a few days ago, and this vid will really help with not missing out on anything. I ventured into the sewers but thougth to finish with above ground first. Looking forward to your vid on the shunning grounds. Thanks again.
That's my bad for not explaining, I will be revisiting the areas between Caria Manor and here in coming videos - I was just too excited to share the secrets of the Royal Capital so I skipped ahead for this video
appreciate you so much for avoiding spoilers as best as you can, it really does mean a lot for people like me who care a tad bit too much about the story and overarching lore
The prayer book up a height in the chair you can get without jumping on the railing and risking falling off, you just go out of the door and turn left and drop to a ledge and it takes you back inside and up the tree branch
13:16 when you said no bow compares to the horn bow. The black bow is arguably the best bow in the game. It's the only bow that is not a short bow with the barrage weapon art. This allows you to fire arrows quickly in succession while still keeping the damage of a normal bow. Definitely give it a try.
Great play through! Back to tip 9, on the rooftops there is another item beyond the Black Bow. On that same side and path, go to the last rooftop and there is a Rune 12 on a sitting dead guy hidden by tree branches.
Dude! I love your videos. They have helped me a lot. I'm a full-time artist working from home, and I play Elden Ring with my partner to decompress from my workload for the day. Your videos are super entertaining and helpful. I appreciate you. :)
i have wstched all of the videos in this series and they have really really been helfpul, but i just relized that i havent actually thanked you. so, thank you. awesome job.
You are the best at these walk walkthroughs or tip guides! I thoroughly enjoy these and they help so much. Especially for someone like me who has never played any of the Dark Souls games. Thank you for making this quality content!
You can get to the hanging 'piano' by going left outside the room at the top of the root going through the window where you get the erdtree bow and follow the railing all the way to the root then just walk up it.
@13:05 after getting the black bow jump over to the next roof top to get a runes lvl 12 hidden in the leaves .. @13:51 instead of going up the giant branch go down then at the of the route there's a smithing stone 6 by the broken bridge @16:49 There's a Big statue of Radagon here that holds a secret
Thank you for the run down!! This series is perfect for making sure nothing to important was missed before progressing further!! juuuuust to make sure!!! Thanks again!
So I started playing again due to the dlc hype. When I first got to this area the other day I hated it, couldn't find any grace points whatsoever. Thank you so much for this guid, it has helped me massively
Thanks for this tip, Raging wolf is my most favorite armor set in the game also considering it is the mascot armor set. It's so annoying that the armor is found on a missable questline that you have to go NG+.
I've been running around this area for so long (without doing the final boss), but I've missed so much now that I've seen this video. Thanks for showing all the tips and tricks here :)
On tip 14 you can bypass trying to jump upon that limb to get the prayerbook. If you go out the door to the north and then turn left and drop down on the roof, there is an open window you can go through to get up on that limb as well as a treasure chest containing the erdtree bow.
Again with the good work, I've picked almost everything but forgot the Dagger, and I'm a Dex/Faith built on my 100% Thank you, dude, as always amazing video, helped a lot, cheerios 😁🙂
For the tree spirit, I ran across a "bridge" to the right (when he spawns ... Right as you exit the building when he spawns, look to the right), then shot him with the magic bow. He wasn't able to hit me at all. I had to time my shots to his movements since he would pace back and forth between buildings.
I’ve always wondered why this was so early on the series lol I refused to watch it cause I hadn’t got this far at all but now of course it’s been extremely helpful. Once again Dom, top notch vids! Thanks
If you get on the roof tops before getting on the lift at 9:52, out by where the ulcered tree spirit spawns is a black bow. It's on a roof near where you cheesed the tree spirit - which did seem way tougher than the other one. I cheesed it too.
Thank you for the great content as always! Btw just remember for the upcoming quests videos that the Golden Order Principia book is crucial to progress Goldmask's quest and discover a big secret
I used the exact same tactic against that ulcerated tree spirit except with explosive great bolts. It worked way better than expected and I didn't even have my great crossbow upgraded.
I love the black bow after giving it a try!the barrage is excellent in so many situations!as long as you can hit a moving target you can clear an area so fast!
Love these videos. I missed some things on the roofs and even though I tried to be thorough I forgot to go back and get the Bolt of Gransax before it was too late….
I saw that item glowing on that huge weapon there but i wasn't sure how to get it, until i went down the stairs after you beat the fake Godfrey, and there was a message on the floor saying to jump below on that balcony, really helpful one
If you complete the Dung Eater’s questline till te point he is free from Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, he can be used as a summon along with Melina against Morgott, capital’s big boss. I’d do the Subterranean before finishing Leyndell
Love your videos! They are great for people like me who like to go back and access all the goodies! The amount of lore you learn from reading equipment descriptions is a huge part of this game and I have learned about so many secret weapons/armors thanks to you!
while i was waiting for the next video, i went ahead in caelid and by accident i killed another black knight and death bird, also i discovered that the divine tower in caelid has basement like dungeon. It was fun.
If you spawn at the avenue balcony and head north east on the main road, just before you go through the big doors jump over the south fence, there's a few enemies and in the corner theres the imp head (corpse) which gives +2 to faith
You can get the bolt sooner, once you clear out the enemy's below and jump over to the smaller roof if you time it right you can jump up to the bolt before even climbing the dragon
