@@hienngo1497 I've been watching him since 2005.Iwanted so much to see him play in person but it wasn't possible as I lived all the way in Birmingham. But win or lose I will be forever be his fan. 😍
had that forehand down the line and that 2010 serve been there in 2011 Rafa would’ve a lot more matches versus novak in 2011. Peak Rafa was 2008-2013 on non clay courts. that was that toughest era and he had 10 slams during that era where as Novak just had 6 slams during that era.
This is why Nadal is the GOAT! How many players react like this time and again against him? Reaction @ 12:02 . Nadal returns so many balls that would be winners to 99% of players.
How could anyone play better? 2008 French final and 2020 final at same. Bageling both Roger and Novak and demolishing both. Although he never said it he was getting back at Djokovic for the 2018 AO final. The 2010 year demonstrated his talent. His entire career he exhibited a strength of will unparalleled in the history of tennis. And then the 2022 AO final against another number one put him in a category alone. Even Nick Kyrgios called him the goat on next days radio broadcast.
It's so funny how uncomfortable each player looks playing against him. The super high bounce on his forehand forces his opponent to give nadal floaters or balls that are perfectly in his strikezone that he can rip on either side.
Parece que el tiempo pasa para todos menos para Nadal. Ferrer es ahora el director del Open 500 de Barcelona, Ferrero el entrenador de Carlitos Alcaraz y Rafa sigue ganando Grand Slams
This was Nadal's last *GOKU* moment b4 Novak's historic & monstrous 2011 campaign whr he redefined himself as a GRAND SLAM Legend. And i am an absolut Nadal fan btw!
Leonardo Braynen. I don't think Novak Djokovic took drugs to dominate everyone that year do you? Big laugh. Novak's fans seems fit to label Nadal a drugcheat when he demolishes people but when Novak Djokovic comes out of nowhere and does it he is the greatest. LMAO.
@@dorothysmith3205 listen Dorothy i aint even said anything about *CHEATING OR DRUG USE.* I believe in having evidence. There has not been none to date 11yrs onwards that Novak took drugs. Now he never repeated that 2011 campaign; However, he made major headwY in the GRAND SLAM race; staked his claim for #1; most Masters 1000 titles etc. Same goes for Nadal. Kudos to Nadal for grabbing #21 in AO, which i thought highly improbable.
@@leonardobraynen1524 He did repeated and even better than 2011 was 2015 in stats, I believe Nadal and Djokovic are dopers but we will never know year after his retirements
@@dorothysmith3205 Search in internet the history of accusations Nadal had of doping compare to Novak, we will never know because they are part of the big 3 so ATP are gonna protect that
the sight of verdasco raising his hands celebrating a point like he has won the game sums up all what nadal is in clay.. its just a CV boosting accomplishment taking even just a point from nadal in clay
give time to the kid, he's still a teenager. It will be hard to anyone to match Nadal career, but even if he will become 75% of him I will take him anyday
His bests clay seasons for me (clay season, not only the french open): 2007, 2010, 2012, 2018. Amazing level. In 2012 he almost won his 4 titles without droping a set. Won Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Rome without losing a set, and made French final without droping a set.
2017??? Same amount of tournaments won as 2018 but didn't lose a set at RG (he lost two sets 6-4 and that was the closest anyone came) 😶🌫️. IMO RG 2017 was one the highest levels of his whole career (and even in tennis history)
@@aniiyengar7260 2017, He was operating at peak mode..But, after Moya's inclusion..He did not run around his BH to hit a FH like he did his whole career..But, Turned his BH into a weapon..His CCBH was like another Delpo FH in RG17..For me personally, It was the most complete allround performance on clay ever displayed..
Yes, he blitzed the Maestro in str8 sets so much the beating Fed took it cost him Wimbledon AND the '09 Australian Open. Nadal owned Fed at that point.
@@leonardobraynen1524 Also beat Djokovic in straights, though it wasn’t as dominant as the famous 6-1 6-3 6-0. The demolition against Almagro was crazy too
This was a great tournament! But for me, it was the 2008 French Open. I played tennis in university and at a high level in my district and bageling someone is almost impossible as you move higher in rankings. Personally, I bageled maybe 3 players around the 1 or 2 round in my 10 years of playing and you don't see it happen often in seeded tournaments but then there's Nadal who manages to pull it off with best in the world. It's truly mind bottling how Nadal bagels people at ATP masters and GS's like this one and Fed in the 2008 French Open as well as Ruud in the 22 French Open along with the many other top 100 players he bagels on a yearly basis. It's kind of hard to believe.
And all of the players in this tournament or any ATP 1000 or Grandslam would absolutely crush and bagel any university player just to put things in perspective.
The three Spanish clay courters he beat on his way can't hurt Rafa at his game. They play a similiar game but much weaker and slower version. They have no huge shots to hurt Rafa with. If you don't take time away from Rafa you have 0% chance of winning
@@bilalattal2707 yea ,he was dismantling the other players ,so he was boring the hell outta you. What's there to decipher? Was there a Morse code in your statement?
@@max7even284 watching rafa playing is different from being excited who would win a tournament Rafa winning 6-0 6-0 is not boring but knowing the winner of a tournament is boring because it removes the excitement of competition Hope you can now see the difference
Had there not been a Nadal, Verdasco would have won and perhaps made a name for himself. Verdasco was a very good player but just could not match Nadal.
I remember this. Back in the day, you didn't ask "Will Nadal win this clay tournament?" but instead: "how hard will it be this time (or as the commentators liked to put it, "who has the best Chance of taking out Nadal)?" xD... Even Djokovic never looked as invincible as Rafa was on clay, most especially at this tournament
