Hi Dr Alex!! Great vid!! Im reading that smoking is considered "drying" and, as I'm detoxing from smoking atm, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the damp vs dry foods, anything specific I should be eating or doing (I'm doing acupuncture already)- just anything, really, I'm kinda white knuckling it here- I would appreciate any feedback, I just started looking into eating the TCM way before I quit smoking and I'm not well versed enough yet to know much to do in this regard, and even after a bunch of googling I haven't come up with much info on TCM and nicotine detox. Please help if you can, any & all thoughts appreciated!!🙂

@@RichHandsome I had strange blood results in 2008. My white blood cells where diminished. Before that I had some thyroid imbalances. In 2008 I also startet working out, and because I was always a skinny fat guy (due to be raised by my single mother, and heaving early on dermatitis and astma ...which both do not exist, but are inflamations of the gut, intestine and organs...but that is also a story for another day.).... well my blood results keept getting worse. I went to many doctors and they made all kinds of tests with me. Alot of time was spent worrying and in hospitals...while it got worse. At my lowest point in 2018 or so...I thought I would die soon. Doctors didnt know what to do....so I sat down and studied my own blood results from the past years....and In 2011 there was one blood result that was kinda good. Quite normal. So I thougth....how can It be that I was went down from 2008 to 2018 with a normal result in march of 2011.... Well to make it short and save you alot time: I was eating myself sick, with my habits. And Traditional Chinese Medicine Explained everything to me. The MEntal and Emotional Aspects, that most often lead to habits in our life that than cause our ailments.

@@darioscomicschool1111 do you have info as to why asthma is related to gut health? I am intrigued because my son has it and he is very young. He didn't have this problem until he had to take antibiotics which could have ruined his good bacteria in the gut.
@snakemont
@snakemont 3 года назад
@@Eudaimonialogy Hallo Mylene, It could be that the Antibiotics killed a few of his good gut Bacteria too. They say after Antibiotics (which should only be taken in moderation and the duration of the infection) you should replenish the gut with probiotics. (Now you could spent a ton of time and money on probiotics, but I dont know if this is necessary, but you will find a way). They Say Food is medice. Now to the Asthma part. I am no doctor or anything, I am a 36 Year old Comic Writer / Artist, but I had "Astma and Dermatitis and other Issues my whole life, and alot of those sympthoms we have come from the things we "EAT". If the Gut is stressed out, or someone overeats (which I do, and used to do) or eats to much of: Sugar, Baked Stuff, Milk, Eggs, Dairyproducts, Meat, Sausages, Nuts Seeds, Fruit... you get the Idea, the Stomach can be Overburdened. From there the Liver can be Overburdened by the detoxing ..and so on. Now to the Lungs: Lungs and Large intestines are connected... and If the Stomach cannot fully and properly Digest the food, instead of bringing it down to the small and large intestine (where it should go) it turns into Phlegm / Mucus, and goes Up. To the Lungs, to the Nose, to the Ears and Cloggs them. Should i eat tons of Marmelade for example, it could be, that my stomach can't digest that properly and it turns up as mucus in my upper body. But Astma has also a Mental Aspect. Sometimes somethings are taking the breath from your son. In my case I was taking away the breath from my mother, because she was a single mom, and stressed out with all the things of life on her, and so she took my breath away by always stressing out.^^ But It can mostly be solved by the food intake. So I want to say, no foods are good or bad. But all in modereation, and sometimes our bodys don't want a certain food type. (Google symptoms and TCM...and sometimes the right answer will popp up) A Few examples: Dairy and Cheese can be hard to digest and turn up as mucus in the lungs and nose, sometimes Ricemilk and Oats can do that. Sometimes an Apple or a Banana can do that. Sometimes Legumes or raw Vegetables can do that. Candy or Cake. So I suggest, you get yourself a little Book, and you make a food Dairy. Dont obsess on whats going in there. You dont need to put down every single INgredient....that is not necessary: Just put in. Sunday 7th March. 9:30 A Banana 13:00 Pasta with Tomatoes 16:00 A Fruit Chockolatte Eggwhite Cake 19:00 Bread with Cheese And you will see, when his lungs are clogged up and when they are not. A word of Advice, dont stress out too much, ease into this very very very gently and slowly. No Abrupt changes, and prohibitions. Slowly search for things that are better suited. That might take a while, but good changes can happen withing days or weeks or months. You can ask me anything you want. Write me here, or I give you my email if you want. The world must come together as one! Sharing is caring. And everybody deserves to live, strong, healthy, wealthy and with love!

Why do I almost always prefer warm or hot food (temperature) and heavily dislike cold or liquid or soft foods? Salad is the exception, but I put hot food even on a cold salad. I fluctuate between very warm and very cold. I have trouble staying warm and wear fleece almost all year around even in Alabama summer. I get hot and take it off and I am cold shortly afterwards. I have had Epilepsy since I was 4.5-5 years old and I am almost 54. I have used alternative treatments for years but I have never tried (completely) this method. Strangely, in Montana freezing cold or Northern California winter, while I am cold, it is a "different cold" to me than the Alabama winter that I grew up in.

Quick remedy would be Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Shui,you can buy it at local chinese medicine store or Amazon. www.amazon.com/Regular-Care-Herbal-Supplement-Xiang/dp/B0023FFTAQ But it is just a quick remedy, for the long run, you need to first cut off cold drinks and even cold fruits.(If you really need to eat fruits, you can boil them first). Eat more grains instead. If you need some convenient TCM medicine for the lack of stomach acid and bloating stomach, you can try Xiang Sha Liu Jun Wan. www.amazon.com/Royal-Xiang-upset-stomach-bloating/dp/B071HBVR11

@@CatWoman6 You said you have symptoms of lacking stomach acid, then spirulina is bad for you. Spirulina is alkaline. On Ghee, I don't know anything about it. But since you got spleen deficiency, I would suggest you cut out all foods that are greasy, cold, raw or hard to digest from your diet. And if you're having bloating or gassy stomach issues, you can try Xiang Sha Liu Jun Wan. If you suffer from "internal excessive heat", simply drink more warm lemon water. Don't eat food after dinner at night and don't drink too much water before bed.

@mateusz5161
@mateusz5161 4 года назад
I study dietetics myself in university and despite what you see in media I would never advise anyone to drink milk regularly or anytime. 70% of population after the puberty is finished we get a DNA block (unknown reason) to break down either casein or lactose or both of them at once. If you suffer from acne, first go do some private checks whether you are lactose or casein intolerant (or maybe both?). In my honest opinion, get off milk and cottage cheese, try kefir instead and to get the most calcium you need poppy seeds and parmesan cheese in your diet. Also eat meat 2-3 times a week, preferably turkey and beef. Once a week a fatty fish for omega 3s and once a week a lean fish for extra iodine. Always use iodine boosted salt if you dont have access to fresh wild caught fish straight from the sea shore hut. Acne is easy to cure. If you have any questions send me a message. Good luck

heck no. Modern city lifestyles and industrialization made it such that people are eating tonnes of carbs and meat. Not ancient at all. Especially the southern half of China it is a food pyramid of the largest part being veggies. Northern half of China does not grow much veggies so they eat mostly wheat and meat, coastal and boat dwelling communities will eat mostly seafood, but go to any inland southern chinese communities you will be constantly muching on vegetables, and maybe a couple of dish that has some vegetables cooked with meat.
