The Hip was definitely, definitely a band that you had to see! All the little deviations from the studio recording that might upset some of us(me) when watching videos , disappear when live , and you just really enjoy the magic of the moment that these people were able to create repeatedly ❤❤ One of the fondest memories of my LIFE , was seeing these guys ,live,on Canada day! Seeing as how my marriage turned out....Yes,more memorable than my wedding day!😂😂

The Hip wrote the soundtrack of the hardworking Canadian. You can't walk through a campground without hearing them.

'Fiddlers Green' was specifically written in memory of a boy named Charles Giuseppe, who was (frontman) Gord Downie's nephew. For many years after it was first written/recorded, the band found it too difficult to play 'live' during shows. This is only the second video of yours I've watched ( Your reaction to "New Orleans Is Sinking" being the first about 10.14 ago ) I've watched many different music reaction creators, yours is the only one I've subscribed to. The 2000 Music @ Work tour was the gold standard for Gord Downie vocally! "I'll drop a Carabou! I'll tell on you, I'll tell on you!" So soul-full. Gord really found a balance using his growly singing verses his harder shouting to keep his voice fresher for the whole tour.
