The night is leaving and the sky over Athens is taking its blue morning colour. The heavy door of Piraeus depot is closed, keeping safe and simultaneously prisoned the refurbished passenger car of Rack Railway, Βφκπτ 131. Some minutes later, the door is opened and the procedure for the departure begins. The journey will be long as the truck has a speed limit of 50-60km/h and Diakopto is 160km away from Athens. The time has come...the beautiful waggon is on the way back to its home. After many hours the truck arrives at Diakopto at last. There the crane is ready to place the waggon on the rails again...the whole process takes 2 hours. After the rerailment of the car, an old Decauville railcar arrives at the spot and get coupled on it. The last part of the hard transfer is ready to began. Decauville AΒδφπτ 3005 pushes the passenger car up to Kalavrita through Vouraikos gorge. At Kalavrita the day ends with the also refurbished steam loco ΔΚ 8.001 and with the Decauville shunting at the station. A very difficult day for everyone, especially for the railroadmen of Piraeus Depot who travelled from Athens to Diakopto and then to Kalavrita, accompanying the truck and the waggon during the long journey.
