The Transfiguration, the Resurrection, and Christian Hope (Matthew 17:1-8; 2 Peter  

In pointing our attention to the resurrection, the Transfiguration gives us a glimpse of the hope that we have in Jesus. But it also reminds us to examine our assumptions about what that hope will mean for our lives in this world.
