Take a ride with Travis Pastrana as he hops into the cockpit of the Scott Palmer Racing nitro top fuel dragster for the VERY FIRST TIME! Having never experienced a nitro car he is in for the MOST intense ride of his life!
Taking a rip down the track in Ruby compared to making a pass in a TF Dragster is like comparing grapes to watermelons, they are both fruit and grown on a vine but that’s about it
Simply put, this is the measure of the man we all know as TP. When you see someone who can turn their hand to any motorsport yet still thinks of themselves as one of the team (see him help push the car to the start line) then you know you are looking at a legend. Keep it up mate. Kia Kaha from New Zealand.
Dude had never SEEN a TF car run or start in person???? WTF Travis IS crazy!!!!!! TF is 2nd to none in all of motorsports. Its a body shaking experience! Next level!
Lucky he had Scotty helping him, he's always been a great guy, always helped me at the track and in work, parts, you name it, good fella, he likes to help folks, he really earned his spot 👍, two good fellas hangin out
I want to see all the "Behind the Scene" footage! We all know that there was a lot more preparation for Travis than shown her. Love his enthusiasm and can't wait for more 👍.
@@joemeiner5050 Well that's badass for sure. I've driven some pretty spicy car's in my life and if give the same opportunity with no practice pretty sure my answer would be " No Thank you, I'm good 👍" .
When you watch Clay Milliken's vid on explaining how to drive a top fuel machine, indeed there's a heck of a lot to it. If you've ever been next to one of these monsters, it's an incredible sensory experience- and that's just being near one, not driving one. Fantastic job by one of the most talented pro drivers in the industry. Always fun to watch TP199.
It's so much fun to watch the reaction of people after having strapped themselves into an 11000 hp top fuel dragster. Especially those who have driven all different kinds of fast and exciting cars and motorcycles. Thanks to Tony Stewart and Scott Palmer for making this possible and to Alex Laughlin for sharing the adventure with us.
You did a great job TP Scott is a stand up guy I met him in Brainerd years back he drove the truck tuned the car and worked on it and was still having fun and made time for the fans my hat is off to both of you have a great day be safe.
Trav I can’t wait to see a 199 top fuel on the the line buddy. You once again are pushing the limits and living your best life stay safe and healthy and blessed my guy much love from Ohio 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽❤
Putting someone in a top fuel dragster who has never even seen one started is cray zeee, but if anyone could pull it off it would be Travis I reckon. 🤘🏻
So is Scott Palmer, the only TF racer I know that's crazy enough to hand the keys to an 11,000hp nitro car to someone who's never been down a drag strip. But that's Scott for ya. Hope you're feeling better, buddy (Scott was the victim of a recent horrific crash). Good job; Travis. That had to be an absolute blast.
Travis is the only guy who I can relate to when being in ya happy place he definitely knows.🙌 I'd dream to do a full pull in a top fueler side by side with #TP
Yeah.. Pastrana has gone low 8's at Bradenton in Ruby, but I realize you may not have been one of the one *MILLION* people to see that video.. you are forgiven.
That’s not like drag racing a car lol, I have an 8 sec el Camino and it’s a blast but top fuel… that’s another game in another world of racing. Congrats to Travis for the passes, I couldn’t imagine feeling what 5 seconds faster in 320 feet shorter feels like INSANE
I honestly think Travis would have had much more success if he did this quietly and without so many people breathing down his throat. He had big people all over him, cameras all over him, the NHRA all over him, so he had to worry about everything else besides learning how to drive the car. I honestly think if he didn’t have all of the added pressure, he would have made a hit to 330’ or maybe half track. They wouldn’t have let him go past half track regardless due to his drag racing resume, but you cannot put too much pressure on any nitro student regardless of their background.
I dont understand what happened at the end. The engine blow from throttling twice? He didnt hit the wall. Didn't stall it at the line. It didnt go boom. Thats a good day in drag racing.
