Adidas samba… it’s taken about 35 years but finally I am trendy 😂

Adidas having a run with so many of their classic styles us great to see. It really demonstrates the staying power of 70s and 80s design philosophy, since most modern popular sneakers originated around that era.

Other benefit of the sambas is how easily they pair with any outfit because of the classic silhouette, I’ve had the red wales Bonner pair for nearly a year now and they’re easily my most worn shoe despite being red, they just pair with everything

I am thoroughly impressed with Amine's take on the New Balance 610. To see the articulation of ideas, with the unique color scheme, to the small banana and custom emblem, to reflective patterns and materials you would never expect from New Balance, it makes complete sense why they allowed him to customize a New Balance silhouette. Another detail that caught my eye, is the snap buttons on the back that can be detached from each shoe and then reattached, for ease of transport. The utilitarian details coupled with the colorway and material choices, its a perfect summer shoe in my opinion.

Reebok Club C 85 Vintage needs some love. Such a great alternative to AF1s or 550s

Ever since I discovered your channel a couple years ago my goal has to been to leave my comfort zone and expand on my wardrobe and try new outfits and style. While Its challenging, currently I have been keeping true to myself and actually do it. So far I have bought my first pair of tassel loafers and I have been loving it. Of course streetwear is my all time favorite but I have been experimenting and been trying to mix multiple genres/categories together to see what I get. Thanks to you and your post I have been getting inspirations. All the favorite shoes for me is hard but if I had to pick it will be the 350s pirate blacks since seeing them all over in social media when I was in middle school made me fall more in love with fashion. Currently I have been keeping my eyes on the Oree NYC derbys shoes. Been thinking on expansing to derbys. Pirce wise there I pricey but I know the quality in them are amazing since I have heard good things about them. Still seeing more affordable alternatives tho to see If I truly enjoy derbys. Love what you do my brother Drew. Keep on doing what you do because you have inspired me to expand and be more open minded on new styels and genres.

I've got the black vegan sambas and it's hard not to just wear them every day but it's cool seeing the superstars and how differently people pair them even though they're so close. I think the Asics Gel Nimbus 9 and Asics Gel 1130 are upcoming. I'd say Asics in general.

I still have a lot of love for the 550's. Even if Tiktok is done with them, I'm not. Great silhoutte, very versatile shoe for my casual outfits. The only sneaker I might add to my collection this summer is a converse. i need a slimmer looking shoe in my wardrobe.

The 550s definitely has become more accessible now compared to last year where it was still being scalped by resellers. Sure many are starting to grow out of the 550 model but its a great staple sneaker for many outfits. Also love the inclusion of Collegium in the vid. Highly underrated brand with phenomenal quality/comfort and continues to elevate their image through their drops. Shoutout to Nick!

I recently picked up a pair of 530's for the gym and i absolutely love them. I was looking for a 2002r, but the price scared me as a new sneaker purchaser. I agree with you on how new balance does a great way of pulling in that functional sporty look and comfortable feel but still making a great stylish shoe that can be worn with whatever (I've only worn the shoes to the gym once, but out countless times lmaooo). next buy is defs gonna be an adidas shoe as soon as I can find ANY in my size

reebok club c 85 vintage. srsly one of my fav sneaker purchases made in the past few years. comfier than my 550s and chuck c 85s, amazing retro look, and can be worn for many different ocassions. got the vintage navy pair last year during the holiday season on sale for $40 which tops it all!

I noticed more and more people are appreciating the uniqueness of On Sneaker specially the Cloudmonster. If 2021 was the year of dad shoes, 2022 might be the year of hiking shoes and 2023 will prob be the year of running shoes. And I am so glad that people are starting to pay attention to the non big three brands (Nike, Adidas, New Balance) to rising brands such as Asics, Salomon, and On sneakers.

Can't go wrong with classic adidas sneakers/trainers. Not always trendy, but always classy.

Had to restrain myself from buying some of the wales bonner sambas recently. I just don't think that trend is gonna last longer than the summer but I might be wrong. I thought the 550s were on the way out but they stuck around for like two more years than I predicted. Right now I'm loving Puma, HOKA, and Mizuno. Puma is in this weird spot where I feel like they're consistently making cool, reasonably priced stuff, but nothing really hits the mainstream. I really like the Clyde Super Puma in Evergreen-Sun Ray Yellow. It's like a samba but it's got more personality. #pvv would definitely like to see more warm weather style inspo. it's hottttt out and I can't wear pants anymore.

I love Shelltops especially the OG Pro-model I've got a white/black stripes, a black/white stripe Collab with 424 & I just copped the crazy purple Collab with Kader. I still rock mine with fatties, It's one of the OG creps of HIP HOP Culture. The Campus are super nice too along with Puma Suedes all creps that are dear to my heart. Here in the UK Sambas, gazelles have been worn by casuals(football fans) for yrs!💯💯

Interesting that you didn’t even mention Adidas Spezial, or the New Balance 9060. I have all these plus the Samba. I prefer Spezial over the Samba, more comfortable as the insole and outsole is thicker, and more wide foot friendly, even though the almost look identical besides some minor differences… I always recommend Spezial to people who couldn’t get Samba.

I don't think the 550/650 will go away, but i'm not suprised that the hype is dying down. Personally they look best in more simpler color schemes with at most springkling something loud in there and it feels like they've down most colors already. The other thing is that they need to be broken in to become comfortable which means owning a lot of them doesn't make much sense or if you have a bigger rotation of sneakers the breaking in will take a while. I guess if NB plays their cards right we could end up seeing them for a long time to come.
