Comparing the before and after of the Triumph bobber stock exhaust sound and the Motone Mayhem Shorty's plus decat Xpipe. The sound difference is just insane. Hopefully you can notice just how different it is in this video.
The Triumph bobber stock exhaust is just not loud enough in my opinion, it's barely noticeable without any revs and even with revs its just seems like a let down.. so I upgraded it!
I went with the Motone Mayhem Shorty drag pipe which was a much deeper throatier sound but the noise level didn't really change and you can only really hear the difference when the throttle is pulled back a fair bit. This would be enough for most but I felt like I needed more and without going to a full system the Motone Xpipe was the next thing.
Let me know what you think of the look of the Motone Customs Mayhem Shorty drag pipes in the comments. I liked the big fat girth of the stock exhaust but not the sound. These are barely noticeable in comparison but make up for it with the noise.
Finally I added the Motone Customs Xpipe (which is a decat for the Triumph Bobber). The sound is so much better. It can be heard when idling and the second the throttle is pulled it gives a much deeper, more powerful sound. How the bobber exhaust was meant to sound in my opinion. Never thought I'd say this but it may even be too loud, will have to let you know on future rides.
It was loud enough for the wife to come shouting at me to turn the engine off when I was doing the video (great success haha) you can hear her in the video. Was in two minds whether to edit it out.
