This video is all about the many different trout species found in North America. I go over some simple identification as well as the different geographical ranges in which anglers can target certain species of fish.

This is another great video man! Trout have to be my favorite family of fish. they are some of the prettiest fish ever! The gila and brown are 2 of my favorites, you cant beat a nice brook though. The browns and cutthroat in the logan river are super pretty if anyone is around here!

Many people don’t believe that a Gila trout is only in Mexico but I have a 22 inch Gila trout mounted and found out at the taxidermy and questioned by wardens about where I caught it but only give them a general area and I told them that I know there are two because I caught them. I was supervised to actually find out it was a Gila

You missed one but very rare hybrid. Cheetah trout. They are a book/rainbow cross. I had the pleasure of catching one! I got it confirmed by fisheries biologist. Caught it in Lassen national park in Northern California.

We have river systems in Alberta where bull trout have cross bread with brookies. Also know of places where tiger trout have occurred naturally in brown/brookie creeks

I really liked this video. Trout are the best. Maybe you could do a video about the different types of bass in Utah.

Man it sucks that no one knows the most colorful char, the arctic char which hails from Maine and Alaska. Kinda disappointed it didn’t make it in the video.

It is hard to find a prettier fish than the brookie but long ear sunfish are the best looking freshwater fish by far

Why di they stock sooooo many tiger trout in utah🎉
@WildaboutUT
@WildaboutUT Месяц назад
@@rustbeltwilds837Tiger trout weren't common at all until recent years. When they started stocking them they became extremely popular because they were a new species to many anglers and an alternative to rainbow trout which everyone has seen. Also like many other stocked trout species, they are sterile and easily controlled. Also they put up a great fight!
