This is perfect timing. I was brought a sub and amp the other day and was really debating whether I wanted to install it in my car, as I don't want to change the factory unit. (Steering wheel controls or bust I guess..). Just gotta get myself a high-low converter now.
@@OwenBuckingham11 they are decent size yeah. Im a 3d printer enthusiasts and have my own small channel. I have a couple larger printers around that size as well.
I did the exact same thing to my 2020 custom. It really made a big difference . I used a Cadence 10” powered 400 watt woofer box. My Truck is the Same color by the way.
Robbie did you ever hear about those glasses who let colorblind people see color? Because u always wear sunglasses buy these there not that expensive (100-200ish) and it makes ur life so much better
You can not get the same sound as a single cab truck. I had an 04' ranger with a single 10" rockford fosgate p300. that thing just hits way different than my 4 kicker comp 12's in my sequoia
I really wana get my subs hooked up in my new car. i got a 2014 mazda 3 hatch, and i have dual 12 inch skar audio subs pushing 1500 watts peak 1000rms to go in. they bumped really hard in my old car, but i really dont want to splice into my wires myself lol
I had a 2003 Buick century when I was 16 and I put 2 12s and 4 6x9s in it for door speakers ended up selling it all for tools now i drive an 89 f150 and i miss my subs
Turn down the Bass on you stereo so you can turn up the volume and then turn up the bass boost on the amp to compensate for the bass loss on the head unit. It's an old trick we used to do in the 90's. We would turn the bass all the way down to -10 and then turn up the gain and bass boost on the amp. U need to play around with the bass on the head unit by turning it down 1 notch at a time and turning up the volume till it's as loud as it goes without distortion. Distortion is the killer of speakers and ears. Loud and clean sound wont kill your hearing. Also, what you could do is replace the amp with a AudioControl and use the accubass to compensate factor head units. Factory head units decreases the bass the louder you turn up the volume so you can't blow the factor speakers. Check out - Install Diaries - and he explains it in a lot of his videos.
Hell yeah but i think u need a better speaker the same brand but different color one the model of sub and the color mean something the gray and black one and the red and black ones are the same and they push 400rms to 800watt max and that amp is a 1000watt amp and that would handle 2 of them speakers but the yellow and black ones only push 150rms 300watt max witch u might blow the speaker if the gain is not set right and that sounded alittle too much for that speaker so just be careful cuz u might just blow it and u can also put like 4 of them same speakers together and the amp will handle it with no problem oh yeah they also have the blue and black witch i think are 750rms 1500max watts witch prolly be too much for u
Raise the gain and watch it blow hahahah u should change the speaker to a red and black or gray and black more bass that speaker is a 150watt 300wattmax and the other's are 400watts 800wattmax and use the same amp and u be good just bye raising the gain on it
You should ask thomas to make a certain trim piece in your car have the committed logo on it, and have the same trim piece in every car to symbolise it's yours. Kinda like the banners but more custom.
Okyou need to shorten the wires of the ground and power down to the shortest you can get, helps get rid of cords but also helps the amp get better power and earth connections that helps with the sound.
As an electrician I have to admit that should maybe put some sort of protecting tube or the fabric tape they put on Stock wiring so you get no short circuits due to the wires rubbing or vibriting under the panels😮
JL Audio makes a stealth box for it, I just ordered it. For the crew cab you choose between 2 12s or 2 10s. the double cab you can only get the 10s. Also LLJ customs makes a harness so no splicing required and it will pull all 4 speaker outs with up to a 20 foot length. the harness plugs between the factory harness and the stereo unit behind the glove box, and it even has a remote out for the amps. LLJ customs will also include the signal processor for RCA outs if preferred. FYI.
