Nice truck. . . .I used a "T" harness on my '19 silverado w/ Bose. The "T" harness gives you R and L + and - speaker leads without cutting or splicing factory wires. Easy peasy. . . the + and - leads then connect to the LOC
Nice video man I’m getting ready to run a complete kicker l7t set up with 1200 watt kicker and I am going to use the kicker kisloc2 so I don’t have to chase a remote wire back but I believe if you have a Bose system then the speaker wires are on the passenger side
Have you ever had any issues with that amp? Because I just bought the same kicker box and sub. But I was told kenwoods get hot in the summer and might cut power
Nice install. Are you happy with the setup? I have the same setup in my Silverado but with only a 500 watt amp. I’m pretty disappointed with the system, it’s underwhelming and doesn’t hit the lows like I would expect out of a 12”. I’m debating replacing it with a new system that doesn’t have a passive radiator but am also wondering if a bigger amplifier will make a difference to the point that I would be happy with it. I saw in your other videos that you had started smaller as well and then upgraded to the 1000.
I recently upgraded again to an alpine amp. I love the setup, the bass is perfect for me especially since I’m getting older and trying to keep my hearing. To be honest I hardly have it up
Hey man, I got my truck pulled apart right now. Do you have to do both driver and passenger? Or just one? I’ve located the white and blue on passenger side, just trying to see if I have to go to driver as well.
The first thing I turn off when I start my truck is auto stop. But if I forget it to turn it off , I don’t notice a difference with the auto stop, when the music is playing
Y’all can also install the auto stop eliminator I am putting it on mine just because I don’t need my turbo getting hot then just shutting down I feel like that’s a bad combo
So only the right side speaker is needed for the input? Those modules usually have an input for the left also, is that not necessary? And one input is all that’s necessary, in this case rear right?
Could you do a video on how to tune the amp properly i have a 800w monoblock amp that’s 600w @ 2omhs blown mine sub twice just need to know how to set it
@@tgee8216 honestly I would try an amp with less watts , skar amps are pretty powerful. Or try turning down the bass on your radio to like a negative 4. I’ll upload a video on the way I tuned mine later on today
How do I know if I need a high to low adapter? Its been 15 yrs since Ive installed a system. I just bought a rockford fosgate powered ported shallow fire sub 300rms for my 19 silverado. Do i need the high to low adapter? or just a standard amp wiring kit?
@@diesel850 i purchased the same subwoofer haven’t bought the amp yet but i was looking at the skar audio 800watt mono block amp it’s rms power at 2omhs is 600 And at one omh is 800watts peak power is 1,000 Didn’t know if i should just buy the 8gauge for 800watt amp wiring kit or one that’s rated a little higher or just buy the same amp u have what you think ?
What I suggest doing in that case, is removing the rear door cover and see what color wires run to that speaker. Then go find those colors in the wires I’m the bundle.
@@diesel850 I tapped into the lime green wires and the one with the stripes. But when I connect the LOC to the amp only one of the rca cables will work, the other cuts off the sub. Any ideas?
