Join us as we dive into the world of Seahaven and discover why as Christof pleaded for him to stay, the world cheered for Truman and the end of their beloved show in the 1998 classic film The Truman Show.
Along the way we’ll explore how Truman symbolises the archetypical hero and how in coming to the realisation that the world he once called home is designed to stifle his development at every level, Truman develops the courage to sacrifice everything he knows and charge into the unknown. But as Truman escapes the reality, the ordinary world that has for his entire life prevented him from ever developing as a man, we’re left to wonder whether we could do the very same thing and escape our own versions of Seahaven we’ve built for ourselves.
