I just recently started using Black seed oil and recently came across your videos. My first order was from Bionatal due to their website was so transparent about the seeds and their process. Someone told me to try Shea Terra and I bought some. Was wondering why it was so light colored since I purchased Ethiopian black seed from both companies. I read on Shea's website to be careful about companies saying they have a high TQ level. This made me question Shea since I couldn't find their TQ level posted anywhere. I have emailed them multiple times with no response. I also called and when I asked about the TQ ratio in their product I was hung-up on. I received a survey from them and gave them a very negative review. It was posted for about 30 minutes and then pulled down. I have decided to stick with Bionatal moving forward. The color comparison is bunk. We don't know if the Egyptian oils come from the same region of Egypt. You don't know what time of year that the seeds were harvested in terms of one against the other. Just the same as one can get wine grown from grapes in Northern California that will taste and look totally different from that grown in the Central region. It all depends upon the soil, the weather, time it's harvested etc. All of this has a bearing on the outcome. As to asking why your preferred brand is darker than the other Ethiopian oil, it's because your oil is *also* Amber after 30 days of curing, according to your videos! Then, you add in 5% Black sediment which when the bottle is shaken turns your Amber oil dark. And as to *any* TQ levels, the *batch* that was tested *at that time* may be those levels. But after sitting on the shelf, may differ. Other subsequent batches may not have those levels at all! In the final analysis, the power in the Black Seed oil and it's seed has nothing to do with this mass marketing hype that is pushed to the end-user with the hope of gaining a major share of the market. The Black Seed used for a millennia had *none* of this and still got the rating of "curing anything except death." In fact, it was the *seeds* that were used, mixed with honey that got the great results. So could all of this yang about oils perhaps be about hype to push to a newbie consumer?

Just wanted to mention that any oil from SAME region, even same exact farm, can appear different from batch to batch because of weather, soil conditions, droughts, etc. Companies that mention that seem more truthful. I don't know about black seed especially, but seems to me that the levels like you mentioned of the key constituents (different components) is what matters most despite colors. With essential oils, independent testing and company transparency is most important in choosing , I don't know if carrier or orally ingested oils have posted test results? You'd think "organic" advertised would be safest but I've found number of places on Amazon that say their stuff is organic but when I queried some on their certificates, what I got was a cert. # that said their FACILITY was cleared to handle ( ie bottle) organic oils and have a list of those specific oils. It does NOT mean the oil you are buying IS organic unless they provide you the certificate for that specific oil (not the facility). Anyone can print an organic logo. Amazon also does NOT screen the sellers for anything but customer service. You mentioned transparency as a key factor. I'd trust those transparent and responsive companies that state levels, proof of testing those levels- independent testing best - as most reliable to buy from. As you said unfiltered and unrefined (virgin) is best, most nutritious. Sediment is a good sign! Thanks for sharing your experience and information you've collected to help others. There's so much misinformation out there it makes it hard to find out what is legit and what is bogus. I was looking into black seed oil for both skin applications and possibly internal consumption for antiinflamatory benefits. I got some Naturise "organic" cold pressed unrefined (certified by NFC Natural Food Certifiers) but I see there is no level other than 4.5mg black seed oil per serving (yeah, worthless) before I knew what I've since discovered & figure I probably got crooked. You have any opinion on these folks?

Any black seed oil you buy should have a light to amber oil color and a moderate viscosity (similar to olive oil). The name “black seed oil” might suggest that the oil should have a black tinge to it. If you purchase an oil that looks black or red a coloring agent or a solvent (like hexane) has been added.

. The Middle East is the main area for Nigella Sativa flower cultivation. The seed oil is yellow in countries located further west from Saudi Arabia. Those countries located to the North and East of Saudi Arabia produce brown oil. The seeds found closer to the equator will produce black color oil due to the hot climate

Guru Wezee here King, Dr. Sebi wrote a lot about the “all cure” known as Black seed oil, the differences in color can occur from the age of the oil and the amount of sun light through the dark glass, and or weather they were warm or cold pressed, they can also have coloring added or a solvent known as hexane

I have been looking into Black seed oil and thank you for this review. Sediment is most likely a good thing. It's probably like CBD. If you do the oil it's refined. If you vape the flower you get the "entourage" effect. In other words with the flower nothing is filtered out. This is all very interesting with this Black Seed oil. I did see a review on an oil that was really light in color where the person posted two photos of her legs. First one she had very bad Psoriasis. The second photo showed greatly improved after taking the light colored Black Seed oil.

Iman Blackseed oil is the best one in my opinion its the first company that started producing it about 20/25yrs ago maybe earlier, its extremely spicy and very strong .. i thought id purchase a diffent brand oil was a pink colour has no smell no taste.. would definitely go back to the Iman Blackseed oil.

This is really good information. Thanks for doing this. The black seed oil I use gives little information on the bottle other than that it's cold pressed and from Pakistan. The oil is very dark, has sediment, and has a spicy, slightly irritating aftertaste. I like it and I think it is good quality.

That is the every reason why I have to cold press black seed oil from the seeds. It is black colour if you don't filter it, but I need to shake the bottle when I pour out oil. I know I am getting 100%pure black seed oil.

it they are cold pressed and steamed pressed can make a color difference but they could all not be an essential oil it could be an infusion

I have Bionatal Black seed oil. I love it but I am not sure that the color of the oil determines which one is better. The Bionatal is light in color until you shake the bottle to allow it to mix with the sediment. I also have Shea Terra Ethiopian oil and it is good also, It has a very strong taste. Can anyone say one improves their well being over another?

Great video love the information. I hope you will do one on why some companies say their black seed oil is not for consumption. Is that a disclaimer or is it something they add to their oil? For instance Artizen brand black seed oil they say it is unrefined cold pressed but they also state for external use only. It depends on the areas ..Ethiopia is huge ..the soils etc are different .

I found the brand SOLARAY Black Seed Oil with 7% Thymoquinone from India in 1 fl oz with Nigella Sativa 915 mg per 1 mL, lab verified, cold pressed, and it is very strong and must be mixed with another pure oil or water or juice. It appears to be fine and has no other ingredients 🌺

Ok.. the first 2 are Ethiopian seed oil. It says on the back of the first one, "Nigella saliva." I just bought this brand. But, i wish I came across your video before purchasing. It does say it's made in the USA, GA. It has 1.2 TQ. I'm currently spring valley brand, which i just seen it came from India. I'm now looking for a different brand. Lol.

The difference in color can also be due to processing and filtering . The Ethiopian bionatal is not overly processed or filtered, had nothing to do with strength

Interesting to see how u will be able to tell the differences between the oils. How long do u have to use to notice any effects! So far in my one month with the oil, I only had 3 allergy episodes and have to take Benadryl twice. That’s a significant reduction tho. Also I’ll bring up some reasons as to why I may have had one of the flare ups! Keep bringing up that good health content! Love!

What many of us want to know is, How on earth can there be enough flowers with those little tiny seeds to produce millions of gallons of "Pure" non diluted / mixed oil. We would LOVE! to see a short documentary on the process from harvesting flower to bottling.

Amazing herbs is diluted, not sure with what.. (all the ones with lighter color). Black seed oil should be darker in color. To avoid all problems, buy from the source!

The question is how was the potency tested? The BSO I buy is verified by Liquid Gas Chromatography. They have found that sometimes the lighter batches (depends on time of harvest) are stronger. But all of this brand’s batches are dark compared to most of them in this video.

I just purchased my first bottle of Bionatal. I feel it is much more potent than the other brands. Good results with mucus and congestion so far. Question: my inner dosage cap is a mystery. It is supposed to fit in the opening? But it came inside of another cap. Confused on how it works.

I think the good black seed oil is the black one in colour..Every company claims theirs is the best! which is normal. But I think we have to consider the following things when we purchase a black seed oil like where it originated, what kind of seed it comes from because their is a black seed oil that extracted from Caraway seed is called Black Caraway Oil or Kalonji Oil, just an example. I am not very educated about Black Seed Oil, I am trying to get more informations before I buy this oil. Thank you very!!!

I have been taking the Heritage Store brand and l am very happy with it, I have also tried two others on your table and were also good, but a lot has to do with the individual, there diets, sleep habits and physical activity, it’s hard to know, just try different brands and see what works for you.

Mine looks like motor oil and taste like it too ! I have to basically take it by pouring the teaspoon down my throat and even then that Taste is something else ! But I will keep taking it because I believe in it's healing properties because for us muslims it's mentioned by the prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him . I make homemade cold pressed black seed oil and it’s always the color of motor oil the taste is different the Ethiopian is the most spicy but the levels they put in their labels are very inaccurate you can pay a lab to put your TQ level on paperwork.

It's only a matter of time before the FDA gets involved and regulates black seed oil. One good part about them getting involved is that every company is going to have to prove and certify where they claim their seeds come from. Companies are also going to have to verify and prove the % of THYMOQUINONE (TQ) in their oils which is a good thing.
