I've had nothing but a good experience with Bruce Rossmeyer's Harley in Ormond Beach Florida. I got the extended warranty along with the service plan on a police fleet road king 3 years ago. In 2019 they were selling the police road king for 10k. Since then I've had a cracked header, leaky seals, broken pipe and blown transmission. The cost for all of this was in the $10k range and I paid absolutely NOTHING out of pocket. Everything was covered and thier service department continues to impress me by thier ability to go above and beyond. I will never go anywhere else to buy a Harley.

Loved your last point. If you are fortunate enough to own a bike that costs $20k plus, you might as well think on the positive side and not get caught up about costs for certain upgrades or repairs. Why skimp when you’ve already paid an high amount for something. I always say it’s one thing to afford to buy something. But you must also be able to maintain it. If you can’t then buy something cheaper and be happy!

If only people could know what it was like to ride into a H-D dealer in the 70's to 80's they treated you with so much respect and loved to talk about your machine. $3200.00 could buy you a brand new 1200 FXE off the showroom floor , I know people hate what I call ( real harleys ) AMF and pre AMF but they had soul and tons of power. Now it's all about the money ! 20,30, 40 or $50,000.00 or more for a bike and they act like they could care less about you or what you ride." NO THANKS " you can keep your rubber-band , plastic Harleys... J_D

Hi, just found your channel. I like what you have to say, and thank you for sharing your experiences. I had the wheel & tire warranty on my 2014 Street Glide Special. I was cut off by a car and went into a pothole. I didn't go down or anything like that, but it was a deep hole, and it bend the wheel a bit, not enough to break the seal and go flat right there but you know it was coming. I went to my local dealership where I bought the bike, and they covered it without a question, it took a bit to get the new wheel, but they changed it out, with only the labor that I had to pay. This was pre COVID in upstate New York (just for reference) I agree with number 4 Labor charges are high at the dealership.

I agree 100% with you. I try to always see the bright side of things. Sometimes it's difficult to remain positive. Positivity always makes life a little easier tho!

The biggest thing with the warranty issues that were happening in the states is Harley was unjustly voiding warranty on bikes that had aftermarket parts when the failure had nothing to do with the aftermarket part. The ruling is simply making Harley prove the aftermarket part caused the failure before they void the warranty.

I always try to think positively about everything, we are on earth for a blink of the eye compared to eternity. I want to have fun on my Harley ultra limited and not sit around being miserable because of some small thing and let it ruin my fun. I'm 68 and am thankful everyday that I can get into the wind. I had a 2017 street glide and it was a nightmare of problems, but I messed up and bought the Milwaukee 8 the first year it was out, my mistake not Harley,my 2021 ultra limited 114 is amazing have had it 2 years and have 20k miles. My goal is to put 500k miles on it before I can't ride anymore. I have several riding buddies that have over 200k miles on their Harley's, having the dealership service their bikes and mine seems expensive but they know the proper way to perform the maintenance pays off in the long run. Awesome channel I really enjoy the content. Thanks Jack

Great discussion. Ive discovered lately the last point is truer than anyone realizes. Awesome content. 🤙🏼

Hi Aymen, I’ll say the one thing that does my head in with Harley parts is the way they charge EVERYTHING as an extra.. I purchased a replacement backrest pad for my rear rack and the pad arrived without the mounting screws and bracket… that was an extra!!! I find this happens often and this is what gets me off side the most
@brontarlabta.k.a.briantayl3484
Bonus tip? I totally agree! Some might call it karma… We all attract what we give out. Whether we like it or know it or not. That’s what happens.

I've owned 2 BMW R1150RS. I bought a previous year model new and the dealer gave me a $5,000 discount off List. I've put 150,000 'sporting' km on these bikes with exactly ZERO mechanical issues other than tires, brakes, and regular maintenance. I do my own maintenance and typically don't even have to adjust the valve clearances after 10,000 km intervals. There's no question my bike is a well-engineered design that uses top quality components and assembly, that costs thousands less than a typical Harley.

Not Sandy but ARCHIE, I'VE HAD 10 BIKES IN 15 YEARS AND TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. SMALLEST BEING A WIDE GLIDE AND LARGEST A TRI-GLIDE. 2019 WENT BACK TO A WIDEGLIDE. TOTALLY THE HAPPIEST I'VE BEEN. MY OPINION IT LOOKS LIKE A BIKE SHOULD LOOK LIKE AND EASY TO WORK ON . THE WEIGHT SUITS ME SINCE I'M 81 YEARS OLD. ENJOY YOUR CHANNELL AND THE GREAT MUSIC.

harley told me back in 05 they would warranty everything on bike as long as they serviced it. right up until the big bore kit they installed went south from spring tensioner falling apart on cams. then their tune changed. they threw crap parts in it shoved it out the door refused to warranty their work.

Pretty much agree with your outlook on life is a mirror, I bought my Harley Ultra Limited in 2021 had now problems I was expecting to spend x and that is what I had spent, admittedly I had not ridden for 30+ years when I bought it and yes was scared of the weight since purchase it feels like I have ridden this bike and enjoying riding in excess of 1000 miles a month. Loving your youtube channel watched a few a def thumbs up from me MLLH&R Mike from the UK

For me it's more about the service and quality of work. I'd rather pay a premium as long as I know my bike (and car for that matter) is properly being seen to. I will still do what I can myself within my own limitations.
@KRE03051
My dealer, during the 5k service, which costs me $400 to maintain my V Twin For Life warranty, charged me 2 hours labor for servicing my front and rear brake cylinders, which only took an hour. I asked why I was charged for 2 hours labor, when it took only an hour. I was told that 2 hours was their "flat" rate for that specific job.

Just subscribed. You gave a different perspective and changed my attitude towards dealer parts and services. It was extremely negative. Not anymore. Appreciate your insight
