Itachi's history is my opinion one of the best plot twists in the manga community

For Itachi's last words, the translation I read said "Sorry Sasuke. There won't be a next time." I thought that felt more fitting.

When you realize the whole fight was actually: Sasuke trying to kill Itachi vs. Itachi trying not to kill Sasuke

I'll say this again .. "Naruto is more than just an anime" .. 🔥

Itachi was only 14 when he left the village, and barely in his 20's when he died.....he was one of the greatest heroes in the whole anime, if not the greatest, yet almost no one knows, or will ever know. Itachi Uchiha was one of the very few actual ninja, and what a shinobi he was.

Sad fact: Itachi was only 21 when he died. 💔

He was the shadow hokage protecting the leaf from shadows. No matter how many times i see this story it hurts the same as the first time it just brings tears. And loved your reaction guys.

"Sasuke, I'll always be there for you. Even if you do hate me. That's what big brothers are for" followed by "Sorry Sasuke, This is it" Is one of the most heartbreaking quotes of the entire show. Also the fact that little did we know at the time we lost in my opinion two of the most beloved characters in less than 10 episodes. This Arc is rough.

honestly this is why i love sasukes character it’s so realistic. if i were sasuke i would wanna do the same exact thing i destroy the village that did something like that to my brother.

I remember being devasted for days when this episode aired back when I was in middle school. I'm 24 now and everytime I come back to watching this episode, It sill affects me haha... Itachi is the GOAT.

Man, I was so invested in this episode and in Devi crying, I was watching going down the stairs, I didn’t realize there was a step left. I tripped and broke my iPad Pro. 😂😂😂 Worth it though.

Later, when Kakashi asked Sasuke to stop doing this, Sasuke said he would stop if he brought his brother Itachi, parents, and all of his family, but when he saw it, Sasuke felt very pitiful. Without that freaking jerk Danzo, Sasuke would have been able to stay happy with his parents and brother like ordinary children.

If anyone ever deserved to be a Hokage (under other circumstances), it was Itachi, no one went as far to protect the village like him.

Sasuke originally awakened the Sharingan the night of the massacre but he didn't realize from the trauma... He reawakened it during the battle with Haku. In that scene Itachi was crying because he saw Sasuke had awakened his sharingan and Itachi realized he is the reason. He cried for what he caused his beloved little brother to go through that led to the sharingan awakening

Itachi smiling at Sasuke in his last moments breaks my heart. We all cried after learning Itachi's truth. Also, now that we're done with this story, you guys are now about to enter the most iconic arc of Naruto history, the PAIN arc. It's gonna be fucking sick rewatching it with you!

And this is why Itachi became one of the greatest if not the greatest character in the Anime universe❤ Such a beautiful, dark, humble, and selfless character.

Itachi Uchiha is one of the most influential characters in the Naruto series. Itachi was someone seen as one of the strongest people in the entire story. With the incredible power of the Sharingan, few could hold a candle up to him. Itachi officially made his first appearance after the death of the Third Hokage,Hiruzen Sarutobi, and immediately gave the fans a glimpse of his tremendous strength. Not only was he strong enough to incapacitate Kakashi Hatake, an accomplished ninja in his own right, for weeks, but even the likes of Orochimaru admitted inferiority to him which, at the time, was quite surprising. It was quite clear to see that Itachi was one of the very strongest characters in the entire series, and even among all the other Uchiha of the Naruto world, he stood out as someone quite special. Itachi Uchiha was born with the talent of the Uchiha and even among all the members of his clan, he was especially skilled. Having mastered some of the most difficult jutsu as a child, Itachi's potential was painted to be limitless. His brilliance shone even before he awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan. In fact, it is believed that by the age of 7, Itachi had the wisdom of a Kage already. This made him incredibly intelligent and his decision-making, along with the ability to analyze various situations while being calm, made him quite a unique shinobi. While that alone is quite impressive in itself, Itachi's strength went beyond just that. Shisui Uchiha's death triggered the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan in his eyes, making him one of the very few characters to ever wield this legendary eye. It is safe to say that Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan was special and gave him access to some of the most overpowered jutsu. Using his left eye, Itachi could use the Amaterasu - inextinguishable black flames that burn until the target is reduced to ash, and with his right eye, he could cast a powerful genjutsu called Tsukuyomi. While all genjutsu are dangerous if used properly, Tsukuyomi was doubly special. Using this jutsu, Itachi could trap someone in a whole new illusionary world where he had complete control over both space and time, meaning he could manipulate almost anything in the world. One second from the real world could easily be converted to a lifetime in the world of Tsukuyomi and that is what made this genjutsu terrifying. In fact, it remains to be the only regular genjutsu that can kill someone. In Itachi Shinden, Itachi Uchiha cast Tsukuyomi on Izumi, and she was able to live her entire life with Itachi in the illusion where she died of old age. This effect carried on to the real world as well and Izumi ended up dying due to Tsukuyomi in a mere second of real-time.Lastly but not least Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. When Itachi Uchiha awakened his Susano'o, he was seen wielding legendary weapons of the Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror. The former allowed Itachi to seal anyone he pierced in a world of genjutsu forever, while the latter gave him the ability to deflect any and all attacks thrown towards him, regardless of whether they were physical or spiritual in nature. According to Zetsu, these weapons, when combined with his Susano'o, made Itachi Invincible. ☯️

About his last words specially, the subtitles didn't do it justice, or isn't even correct if you ask me. He says 'Forgive Me Sasuke, "This is the Last Time" ' , [Or "with this(/this time), it's the last time] (vs. him always postponing to spend time with him, having that next time, but now, that he's dying, there won't be a next time to promise, & his previous promises are left unfulfilled as well.) (Also, mizu, water, hidden mist village, their 7 swordsmen, Zabuza, Kisame, MizuKage, close.)

Itachi defines all the people who sacrifice really important things for the sake of the greater good, for example, our siblings, parents, and all our dear ones, and that;'s why he's such a relatable and beautiful character.

This is what makes anime so special unlike the main stream movies where the whole content runs around only one main character...... but in anime side character such as itachi are so badass,that we cannot neglect them.......

Now many things makes more sense . Itachi wouldn't possibly kill to measure his powers as he said . His smile to naruto after seeing his giant rasengan , him telling everything he could to jiraya and kakashi in og about akatsuki , avoiding fighting jiraya in og or many of his dialogs before ... . 💯👌

Another small little fact. Kisame always told itachi to get inside or to stop hanging out in the rain because he didn't want him to get more sick. Itachi laughs at his concern. One scene that already happened was when they killed the 4th tail and were carrying him and it rained. You guys watched it before.

Everyone knew that Itachi could have easily killed Kakashi, maybe within seconds, but he didn't even try his best to do so, and when this episode came everyone was able to relate and join the pieces of his sacrifice and actions❤❤

The op song and animation during these episodes is classic. Also the author matched up Itachi's death and Jiraiya's death during the same time on purpose, so that both Naruto and Sasuke learn and grow from the death of their loved ones.

I don’t know if you notice, but Madara also said that Itachi have a girlfriend. In the Itachi’s light novel, Itachi kills her by putting her under a genjutsu/tsukuyomi; letting her live the rest of her life with him under the genjutsu. So that she can does happy

Itachi’s illness was never explained. My theory is was the massive amount of stress, burden and guilt that he have to carry was taking a huge tollls on his young body. Itachi was 13 when he massacre the Uchiha, 17/18 when he returns and fight Kakashi, and 20/21 when he dies. So Itachi have no childhood, and spend most of his youth life a massive burden. So, yeah……..

Killer Bee’s name is a reference to the Wu-Tang Clans nickname “The Killer Bees”, and also why he raps 96% of the time. There were actual three perfect jinchūriki in this era Bee was the first to do it, then the Fourth Mizukage (Three Tails) before he died, then Yugito (Two Tails) you actual saw Hidan and Kakuzu capture her (she transformed into a giant blue fire cat).

Here a bit late, but Itachi put Izumi (his girlfriend) into a genjutsu the night of the massacre. While under the illusion, she lived out an entire life with Itachi. The life included a promotion to chunin, marriage to Itachi, and multiple children that she saw grow to adulthood. She experienced growing old and passing away with him.

Everything that Madara said was the truth that's why he didn't need to manipulate it. Itachi knew the truth was so tragic that telling Sasuke at all was going to be a problem becuase there's no way he wouldn't want to get revenge on the leaf village after hearing it. That's why he simply didn't say anything at all and let Sasuke continue on in ignorance. Madara also knew this that's why all he had to do was tell Sasuke the full truth that Itachi was protecting him from and he knew it was bad enough to turn Sasuke in to an enraged avenger.

Don't know why Shisui Uchiha is always forgotten by people. If people do talk about Itachi, they should also remember who Shisui was and what role he played in Itachi's life. I would say that without Shisui Uchiha, Itachi Uchiha wouldn't be what he became later.

Itachi’s story was even more sad in the light manga. They did not include this in the anime but in the light manga when he had to kill his lover (this girl is shown later on in the anime during Itachi’s childhood days) he actually put her in a Tsukuyomi. There he showed her their life together, them getting married and having kids, etc. and then the girl dying of old age. When the genjutsu ended the girl actually thanked him and then Itachi killed her. It was so heartbreaking 💔

I never liked the "Sorry Sasuke, this is it" translation for Itachi's last words. Itachi says "許せサスケ．．．これが最後だ" (Yuruse Sasuke, korede saigo da), which translates better as "Forgive me Sasuke, this is the last/final (time)".

I remember when the first time Itachi died and I was crying and was like "Something is off about this" until the truth about Itachi so I was like "I knew it" cause there were many hints about Itachi like when Itachi visited The Leaf Village after the 3rd Hokage died and he puts Kakashi in the hospital. Kakashi was confused and question about Why Itachi didn't kill him?. Also, It makes sense why Jiraiya got all the info about the Akatsuki casue Itachi fed the info to Jiraiya while he spys on the Akatsuki. Itachi smiled at Naruto twice when he asked Naruto why he obsessed about his brother "Sasuke". Itachi was so happy that someone(Naruto) would look after Sasuke if Sasuke choose the dark path when Itachi gone.

As i always says in thede episodes: I can't justify Sasuke's decision, but i completely understand it. He lived a a lie his entire childhood, hating the person who cared him the most, and, then, figuring out this person was used by te village where he lived. Great analysis. I can't believe i haven't know of this channel before!

This was posted 11 mins ago , I just finished watching your last episode reaction, and watched other reactors videos and saw this video was uploaded in my recommendation, now I finished this episode, I usually laughed when Devi cried, maybe because I can't hardly feel emotions. But this time finally I cried together with Devi crying because of the truth about Itachi revealed, Itachi is the character I used to love. I didn't even cry when Itachi died when I read it in manga. But I cried when someone else in the future died in the manga (not Naruto's side). I don't think anyone can guess so this is technically not a spoiler. I was like that was not expected. I was young back then, now that I am old.
