He's properly rated by rational NBA fans, Jordan stans try to make it seem like he never missed, didn't ever have an off night, that Pippen was nothing more than a glorified role player, or that his Washington Wizards tenure was amazing. Bron stans try to use false narratives like giving Scottie Pippen too much credit or saying he was a failure because of his early playoff losses to discredit Jordan and elevate LeBron.

Damn right. I'm on some ole skool shit. Give me MJ, Kobe, Tom Duncan, Shaq, etc. I also love balling in NYC public parks and locking young'uns down on defense, while hitting me up in the midrange. They be like, "you 40?!" Me, "yeah, I'm trying yall". Meanwhile, I be bussing they ass!

It's funny how Uncut Hoops be dropping high information videos that be absolutely dismantling ESPN/LeMedia nonsense. This content on a different level 💯
I Love Uncut Hoops No Lies About Michael MJ Jordan Just Facts, Keep Up The Good Work, With Pure Facts Not Fiction About Michael MJ Legacy, Which By The Way Can Never Be Disputed 👍💯💯
No one gives a shit, dude. No one knows who he is. Jordan isn't going to send him a thank you card. ESPN isn't going to close up shop because of this channel. When LeBron retires, ESPN will have other things to talk about. This guy is dependent on ESPN. Not the other way around.
It’s funny how every time the Bronsexuals try to slander MJ he always comes out looking even better than before once you really have the facts at hand. The man was truly a master of his craft like we have never seen before or since.
It’s was like the “no left hand” argument and then jxmmyhigh roller came out with a video proving that Jordan’s left hand scoring was much better than any player currently in the league today 😂
@@jarlbalgruuf7701Or when people say Mj didn’t pass or was selfish when he averaged 11 assists in 91 and when he passed to Kurr for the game winner in 97. Or when people say he was a terrible 3 point shooter but he averaged 41% in the 92 finals. Everytime they try to discredit Mj if you look into his career you’ll find he’s way better then you thought
Absolutely. And I understand it to a degree. I feel many younger fans are falling into one of two traps: simple fomo bias that they didn't see him play, they didn't witness things live- so how could they be better than what they've seen? Also, the generalized assumption that everything gets better with time- which is true (mostly) with technology and on a metal level with the floor of overall league skill- but just doesn't apply to individual players.
There's a reason people say that someone is the "Michael Jordan" of their respected field. In the office, stocks, sports, whatever it is. Michael Jordan is the "Michael Jordan" of basketball.
If you want stats, look for LeBron. If you want rings, look for Russell. If you want MVPs, look for Kareem. If you want records, look for Wilt. If you want impact, look for Steph. If you want dominance in a position, look for Shaq. If you want perimeter defense, find Gary Payton. If you want athletics, find Kemp, or Giannis. If you want greatness, look for Bird or Magic. If you want exquisite dunks, look for Carter, Dr. J, or Wilkins. If you want a good Trash Talker, look for Garnett. If you want influence, look for Iverson. If you want remarkable scoring skills, look for Durant. If you want competitiveness, look for Kobe. If you want impact at Clutch moment, look for Kobe again. Now, if you want all of the above in a single player, then look for Michael Jordan.
I wouldn't even give LeBron the stats because dude has been stat padding for the past 8 years. He knew that he was never going to catch Kobe in rings so he went for the scoring record to be his main argument for being the goat. It's a flawed argument because longevity doesn't make you the best. Impact and performance matter more and nobody would take LeBron over Kobe with the game on the line
There are clowns in the media and basketball fans that try to make MJ look like he doesn't know what he is doing. And on the reverse side, make LeBron look like he's the best. I'm not fooled by this. MJ was the GOAT, is still the GOAT and always will be the GOAT.
I heard some People say 96-98 MJ is the best version. Don’t let that 30 for 30 doc fool you 91-93 MJ was just insanely incredible. His midrange and post footwork was just as deadly is just he didn’t have to rely on it as much due to his freakish athleticism. MJ in that time was truly 1 of 1.
Still think 96 Michael was better. That fadeaway was accurate af and unguardable. Be still had a bit of athleticism left also. Crazy that we didn't get to see the version of both styles mixed from the different 3peats. Imagine 93-95 Mike.
After Jordan retired in 1993 he completely changed his exercise regimen to optimize his body for playing baseball. With age Jordan would have begun to lose his athleticism, but he was never going to get back to his 1993 level after changing his workout routine for two years. Jordan still had hops and speed, but he was much more mid range focused on offense and chose his spots to go to the rim.
Magic Johnson was second in mvp voting. And Scottie wasn't even an all star that year but worthy was. Lakers had 2 all stars playing at a high level and Scottie wasn't at near his best yet
Michael Jordan was unstoppable. The best defender against him was Detroit Pistons Joe Dumars. But, he was not in this series. MJ was also unguardable. This actually took place 33 years ago when the Chicago Bulls defeated the LA Lakers in their own arena in Los Angeles.
What’s sad is most people who watch this video already know this because they have a brain but the “nba knowledge” kids from TikTok really need to be watching this instead of doing there little top 10 list with curry at 4 and lebron at 1
It's disgusting that people who don't even watch Basketball want to have an opinion on the GOAT debate. They did not even not watch Jordan play, they didn't watch LeBron play. Their "knowledge" are spreadsheets, and highlight clips. They have 0 clue about defense. They think some dunk blocked is the pineacle of a defensive player lol.
MJ destroys everyone with Stats and analytics. Cool give lebron longevity stats it’s impressive but prime wise and killer mentality plus everything else it’s not even close. They refuse to look at and even watch or listen to what’s being said. Also the media on TV gives the same ol stuff for MJ that can be touched a bit. When digging deeper into stats and analytics you’ll see what’s what. You’d have to combine 20 or more videos on RU-vid to get it all bc I’ve never seen one person touch all of it. I don’t blame them either bc it would be a 5-10 hour video. One is basically owning almost 20% of the top 100 games ever played by a player. They simply don’t get it and will never get it. There’s so much and it doesn’t even include the eye test
@@hottrakzYeah, it’s more of a knock on his career that he couldn’t even achieve half of Jordan’s excellence in more time. In reality, Curry surpassed LeBron in accolades in less time; with the addition of changing the entire offensive philosophy of the nba in terms of three point shooting prioritization.
Also, playing 60 and fewer games over 10 + years while playing minimal to zero defense over that same lengthy period is NOT true longevity. Plus you add in the alleged era obvious PEDS and Lebron is nothing more that league aided smoke and mirrors. His game is also extremely basic and his clutch gene disappears in the playoffs 9-10 times. Can’t say any of that with MJ. I watched it all in real time just as I did with Lebron. There is no comparison in any aspect of b-ball. MJ gave us 15 years of his best on both ends of the court and win 6 chips and countless accolades against the toughest, real b-ball league of all time. Lebron gave us smoke and mirrors, analytics that was used to fool the masses into not believing what they saw, in a watered down, exhibition level league that he couldn’t even dominate.
@@hottrakz don’t disagree just trying not to give Lebron fans anything they can say about stats. It’s all they have and I mean it is something to have played that long. Either way I think he’s fake and is mentality is weak. I just don’t try to being that into my discussions

They didnt say only that the Lakers was a very good team and favour against the bulls. They said also that Blazers were considered the best team in the entire NBA.Yes,the same Blazers that Bulls won in 1992 and people say that Drexler was alone.... People dont realize that Jordan had to make historical performances for the Bulls to win in details against Lakers,Blazers and Suns.
As a 1980's kid and Pistons fan, I know what I saw with MJ. With advanced stats it is somehow more impressive. He was a bball God and those of us who got to watch in real time are blessed. Great video as always.
You know that Michael Jordan is easily the greatest and best basketball player of ALL-TIME because now in 2024, 21 years after his retirement in 2003, we are still having very deep discussions and very serious meticulous conversations about Michael Jordan’s near-perfect career in Chicago. Even that Nick Wright dude and Shannon Sharpe spend much more time in their respective lives talking, discussing, conversing, arguing, and debating about Michael Jordan’s near-perfect career in Chicago than they spend time talking about their favorite player’s career - LeBron James. Michael Jeffrey Jordan is on the Mount Rushmore of American professional sports, so Michael Jordan is VERY EASILY the greatest and best basketball player in human history. In fact calling Michael Jordan the GOAT of professional basketball is honestly a gross understatement at this point. Michael Jordan has been the undisputed GOAT of the NBA since 1988 (for 36 years and counting) and all GOAT debates have been far beneath Michael Jeffrey Jordan since 1998 (for 26 years and counting).
Let''s be real. Put Michael Jordan into any super team that LeBron had, put them through the same career, and he would have 10 rings. Jordan literally played most of his career without help, and then he got Pippen at one point and Pippen was already enough for six rings. LeBron has Davis, who is a better player than him, defensively and offensively, and he can't win a ring. Like come on. Why is this still a debate? Just let it end. Wait for the next guy because no one came close this generation.
Add to this fact that Pippen only averaged 17 points for his career and his best output in the playoffs was 20 points. If MJ didn’t produce then the Bulls don’t win. It’s highly apparent when you watch highlights that the entire opposing team’s defensive aim was to stop MJ.
@@rockysalvatore435Pippen won 6 because of MJ. Pippen never outscored MJ in any series or Finals run or was ever considered better than MJ… ever. MJ is the best because he led his team in beating the best. He didn’t go and play with the best because he knew he couldn’t compete.
@@rockysalvatore435 I'll give you credit....you are trying _really_ hard to back your boy LeBron in this thread but you are getting absolutely trashed after every single comment.

Amazing how the LeLies continue to be debunked. SHOUTOUT to Phil Jackson for recognizing the mismatches on both ends of the court. PS, everyone to a person that I knew back then thought LA would run through Chicago, especially after game 1.
More revisionist history on display. The whole "Magic and the Lakers were washed" argument has never been grounded in facts. The Lakers dominated the West playoffs. Magic was 2nd in MVP voting in 1991. He retired because of HIV, not because he was declining. Nobody on that team was old. Kareem had retired, but I'd argue Divac was as good as a 41 year old Kareem. The Lakers were favored by most to beat the Bulls. Magic had 5 Championships and 9 Finals appearances. Jordan was making his first Finals appearance. So of course people favored the Lakers.

Shannon Sharpe has become the ultimate LeBron groupie. Sickeningly so. A 56 year old man former HOF professional athlete simping another man. And it's different than others like Nick Wright. "Yeahhhhhh Skip. GOAT James. Whoooiooooooook. My nephew is so great. WE got something for ya skip. WE in the gym getting ready. Hehe!!!!! Savannah taking care of the kids so WE can focus on getting that chip!" It's so weird. I'm convinced If LeBron pulled a Belle Delphine and sold his bath water Shannon would buy every bottle and drink it before he works out. Like Bugs Bunny and miracle water in space jam😂
FINALLY! THANK YOU!! 👏‼️ I've had so many arguments over the last decade about this myth/lie of Scottie being the primary defender on Magic. BS! Well done Uncut! Surprised MJ was even more underrated in '91 than I thought.
Jordan was just an animal on both ends of the court. He played all out on O and D, and didn’t sacrifice one or the other in the name of stats. I mean he made the all defensive first team in 9 of his 10 scoring title seasons, led the league in steals 3 times in those scoring title seasons, and won a DPOTY in one as well. He’s STILL the only player in history ro record 200 steals, 100 blocks, and get 3,000 pts in one season as well, and that was over 30 years ago. He’s also still the only player in history to have 34/8/8/2/1.5 in a full season too. He also still has records for highest PER in history in the regular season, playoffs, and Finals. He was the next level past being on another level.
That game 3 shot might be his greatest/toughest considering all the context and degree of difficulty. He missed in game 1. Imagine he had missed this one, the media would have been all over him. Plus to take it full court and adjust the release to avoid Divac...crazy!
I lived through the Jordan era in Chicago, watched every playoff game, every championship series and celebrated in the streets at Rush & Division (and got cleared out by mounted police lol) afterwards. When I watched the Last Dance, I actually thought they said some stuff that I didn’t remember, the biggest one being that Pippen shut down Magic. I went back and rewatched the series and it was exactly how I remember it - MJ was insane as always and his teammates were … spotty and Pippen wasn’t even guarding Magic that much. These narratives are crazy. All this stuff is on RU-vid. Just go watch for yourself. You’ll see. MJ was straight 🔥.
Gr8est basketball players of alltime God,Air Jordan& Kobe in that order.#golakers - Shannon Sharpe, 03/11/12. Twelve years later, Lebron came up short 9 of 12 times. Jordan is wildly underrated.
Someone on Reddit also actually watched all the games and logged all the minutes of Jordan on magic vs pippen on magic and yes you guessed it, Jordan was on him the MAJORITY of the series. Not to mention during the champagne celebration, pippen literally said to the reporter, "after game 2, the game plan was to stick with Michael guarding magic the rest of the series". These narratives they make up to knock Mike is nauseating. And as weird as this may sound, the more you dig deeper into his career, stats and accomplishments, you kind of realize he's actually underrated and been just reduced to this guy who only went 6-0 in the finals that was just a one dimensional offensive player. He was much more than that. I'm glad I witnessed it live
It's hilarious how people who are too young to have witnessed MJ not be able to wrap their heads around how he has no peer. It's tragic that people like Shannon Sharpe, who's old enough to know better, acts like he doesn't.
I saw MJ play. I don’t need stats. MJ is the best I’ve ever seen and it ain’t close. I love Magic and Kareem too. This channel is great for real stats and context. Klutch Sports has bought off a lot of the current mainstream media. But Michael Jordan is the algorithm in NBA history.
he (mj) cudda had 8 championships if he didnt take a coffee break in 94-95. maybe even 9-11 chips, because in the year 1999 no team were contenders, and if phil stayed coaching, lakers would never get him as coach. imagine that lol.
The thumbnail with Leshannon sitting in front of all those leLoser jerseys is insane and why he shouldn’t be talking about sports on a national tv show
I've had to correct people countless times about the myth that Scottie guarded Magic for the majority of the '91 Finals, and that his defense on Magic was the difference in the series.
Bro..I'm about to label you the GOAT! This is bomb fam! Amazing breakdown and research. We need to share and promote your content to debunk the lies they tell. It's the craziest thing the more you research Jordan, the more sick his accomplishments are! Fam I will give you all the credit, I need to show my viewers. The clip with Shannon Sharpe and then your breakdown is so powerful. What they gone say now????? Great freaking work fam!
Seeing a few people still try to argue against your points is pretty hilarious 😂 also sad at how emotions can make people absolute idiots but thats on them.
i grew up in the 90s so jordan has always been the goat in my eyes. like 6 years ago i started watching an older player u might of heard of him Larry legend BIRD i guarantee if you do the same thing with bird his numbers will make you gasp in awe
The most important list though..points responsible for...Lebron is in the top 5 twice, only .1 behind Jordan's best. So you could easily argue that Lebron has just as impressive finals states.
0:25 So...once Jordan had passed his prime, the NBA started tracking additional metrics? Sort of how they didn't start tracking blocks and steals until after Wilt retired? Interesting...
This “series shifted with Pippen guarding Magic” bullshit - it’s exactly that - bullshit. Look at Pippen/Grant/Paxson/Cartwright shooting game 1 - then look at game 2. That was the difference. Game 1 was a team that didn’t handle the moment of their first NBA finals game. Game 2 was a different story. 2 - as was pointed out in this video - Jordan mostly guarded Magic not Pippen. 3 - yes Magic had a triple double game 1 - look at Magic’s stats and where those stats came from. Look at who Magic scored against in game 1. I’m pretty sure only 1 if his field goals actually came against Jordan. What would Magic getting a triple double even mean anyway? Was Magic guarding Jordan? No - Magic was closer to the basket…. Getting rebounds…. Which has 0 to do with Jordan. My last point - Sharpe was obviously trying to shit on Jordan in an MJ/Bron debate. That’s how it is - so I’ll mention Lebron…. How often has he guarded the best player? And when he does how often do they perform better when guarded by Bron? We’ve seen KD win 2 finals MVP’s exploding when guarded by Lebron (and to be fair Lebron wasn’t always guarding him - so which is it? Did KD torch Lebron? Or did Lebron need someone else to guard the best player?? Probably a bit if both) we saw dead set doleplayers in Iggy & Kawhi win finals MVP going against Lebron. Shit we saw Tony Parker have his best NBA finals 2007 when guarded by Lebron often - winning finals MVP. Even if Pippen guarded Magic (which again isn’t true) Lebron has either had someone else guard the best player - or get smoked trying to guard the best player
Are you including his 92 and 93 finals in these lists, or is it just 91 + all years after 97? I would imagine Jordan's 92 and 93 Finals would be even better.
I wish he wasn't the GOAT. He beat all the teams I loved back in the day. But, he's the GOAT. Some day someone will surpass him, and I hope I'm still alive and watching basketball when it happens, but it ain't happened yet.
Mj is the best basketball player I ever seen. No1 comes close to MJ. That's why I get upset when trying to compare Leflop to MJ to me that's disrespectful MJ busted his *ss to become the goat ! Nothing was giving to MJ unlike like Leflop. Plus MJ played in a rougher more physical game & still accomplished what MJ did. Leflop is playing in a sissyball era & he's barely making it & crying & complaining when he don't get his way. Mj's stats & championships & MVP award plus all the other awards MJ accomplished not to mention best clutch shooter. We can go on & on but let's be realistic I seen MJ & Leflop play & there is no comparison not even close to MJ . Years later MJ is still the best even better than today's sissy players & teams. MJ played against Hall of famers & really good teams & awesome players. When it comes down to it MJ is the 🐐 GOAT!
Thank you for all you do!! Whenever someone brings up Tom’s laughable claim I point out the incredible video that you posted absolutely destroying his silly argument.
I recently watched this series on youtube. The impression I got from the commentators when Pippen switched onto Magic was “golly, this guy’s actually doing a decent job while Jordan gets a break from guarding Magic”, but that somehow got spun into Pippen being the one who stopped Magic 🙄
People always overlook the defensive elements when they talk about the clutch. Jordan never let up on D. That commitment to pressure, combined with the points is why he is remembered for being so clutch.
