Finally, someone has the guts to keep it REAL! I say this all the time.. So many people on Facebook, RU-vid, social media...Only post how absolutely Wonderful their lives are going! When in reality...No one's life's...are PERFECT! I am so grateful that you two are upfront & honest and have taken the time to sit down with your viewers and discuss this topic. You are both just.... AWESOME...🙂🙂 Luv you guy's..❤️❤️

I really appreciate and respect the honesty. It's so refreshing having a RU-vidr be open and honest. All marriages have bumps but it's how you work through them together that matters, which you guys do . I'm 27,been married 5 years with 3 kids and I can tell you from experience finding a healthy way to communicate your needs while still validating your spouse is so so so vital! I appreciate ya'll! All the love!

the fact that you both can talk so freely, honestly, and non-judgementally about your “problems” as a couple shows how strong your relationship is and that is what’s important ❤

I have been married to my husband for 22 years. The only time we had a sitter was if I was at school and my husband was at work. It was only out of necessity. We took care of our daughter. We are both disabled now and together 24/7. We have arguments, not fights. There is a difference. When Zoe tells the same stories is it about trauma.? If it is it just means that repeating it means she is still dealing with it and will. I had childhood trauma. I have to talk about it sometimes and my husband is the one I have to talk to. So like it or not he hears the same thing repeatedly. Just be there to listen , it is the most important thing. You all do so many great things with your kids, they are so very sweet. Take care!

Well put Joyce. You have made me realise why I randomly tell my husband stories about past family traumas. I probably have repeated them over and over in the past 20 years. Thank you so much, you have really helped me with something that at 54 I still struggle with. 😊

My bf gets upset when I tell him about my trauma after the first time bc it just makes him angry and he can’t fight it away but I really need to talk about it. I don’t love thinking about it or talking about it but when I think about it I get upset and I don’t want him to just wonder why I’m being snappy since he doesn’t like when I talk about it.

Thank you for being honest. Marriage is hard I have been married 15 years it is not easy 100% we are around each other 24/7 . My husband and I are on SSDA so we don't work outside that house. I have been struggling with some things in my marriage too. My husband has had 3 strokes and 2 heart attacks and open heart surgery. It has not been easy dealing with all the health issues he has been having. I tell you people that have had this are always sleeping and very crabby. Marriages are not easy I know that for a fact. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. You try crabby. Marriages are not easy I know that for a fact. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. You two are wonderful. If you got God in you marriage you can do anything. If it were not for that I would be single. Love you guys!! There is no shame in getting help. I live with mental health issues myself and I have help. There is no shame in it all. Praying for you two from the bottom of my heart.

I think there’s totally something to be said about the seven year mark of a marriage being the hardest. My marriage had its problems but everything seem to get worse at year seven together. Not sure what it is but it seems like you kind of get to a point where you’re not sure if you’re sick of each other even though you love each other so much and you’re kind of bored in your routine. I think being willing to work on yourselves independently and on your relationship together it was super important. Being able to find some sort of independence and things that you like to do by yourself while also putting in your best effort to be the best partner and friend you can be.

We just celebrated our 8 years, and I needed this video! Its opposite for us, we never see each other. He's at work and I'm at home with our daughter 😅🥰lol on the weekends, its filled with side jobs, and finishing the remodel on our family home! Its just been soooo much lately!! He has his long days, and so do I! But at times its like its a battle who deserves more sleep, and as a ftm that irritated me! But I also feel like he does need more sleep, he has to get up early and be physically whooped everyday! So I feel horrible, but I know I am also doing exactly what Iam supposed to....it can be very hard at times, wanting to get away but you can't! We argue because we need more 1 on 1 with each other, and be better at communicating! And yes dealing with parents' stuff and trying to deal and cope with your own, is so rough! It just adds more stress and tension😔 Iam so glad you guys share what you do! It does help us relate!😅🙌 Stay safe, stay humble and happy hauntings!🥰✌🙏🕸🍬🍭🍫🎃⚰

As a couple who has three kids close together, and been married for 41 years, the only thing I would change is to have a date night once a month when our kids were growing up. It’s so important to be able to let your hair down and remember why you fell in love. It will make your kids happy to see your healthy love.

You guys remind me so much of my husband and I we have now been married 23 years we are in our 40 es now and omg it has been worth all the fights and loving each other through it. We are now in a place of gratitude for each other and all that we have love gratitude appreciation it gos such a long way we no longer fight. I am bipolar and have gotten help for it and lots of therapy man I could not recommend it enough. Live in gratitude, faith and love for each other and don’t sweat the small stuff is my advice. But get help for your selves always bettering yourself and accepting the other person flaws and all. I love you guys so much . Your doing an amazing job. Keep it up ❤❤❤❤

I agree with the how you treat your kids is how they turn out BUT my oldest son who is 17, is 💯 his dads behavior even though his dad is not in the picture. His behavior, how he talks, him not having empathy. It’s all like his dad. But he has been raised be me. So while I do believe that, there is always one off! Lol

My husband and I have been married 27 + yrs and you both remind me so much of us in our 20’s. We have an amazing relationship and it’s because we communicate and have always had at least one to two date nights a month. We bought 100 date night ideas from Amazon and take turns picking our date night. Sometimes we’ll go buy takeout and have either a car picnic or take a blanket and have one at the park. If you have friends with kids offer to alternate kids movie night even if for a few hours. When you are blessed to find your soulmate cherish every moment together❤️❤️❤️

Honestly probably the best thing you could do for your relationship is talk about the things that bother you about each other. I think the more you talk about things and deal with the issues the better it is in the long run for your relationship. Even talking about your past childhood trauma is healthy for your relationship. Hugs and love to you both.

My husband and I are going through the same thing. We literally never have any alone time. Not even in our own bed. Our two year old still sleeps with us. Now we have been working on her sleeping in her own bed she's been in her bed 6 out of the last 7 nights. We have Covid so we let her sleep with us one of the nights. But we have to do something because we don't even get to have intimate time anymore

Some of the best advice I’ve gotten from a relationship therapist is - imagine yourself at the end of the argument and define how you want to feel. Most of us want to feel safe and loved by our partner. So communicate in a way that gets you there. My fiancé and I started holding hands and saying things like “when ___ happens, it makes me feel ____ because ____” That’s kept us from blaming or attacking. Holding hands allows us to stay connected and show love to each other even when we are upset. Even starting a disagreement with a hug and an “I love you, let’s sit down and talk” can change so much! You guys are obviously doing great as a couple, you can definitely get to a point where these issues don’t continue to linger

And you guys can relate really helped me to see because with my trauma anytime something goes wrong my mind picks fight or flight and I have no idea how to navigate and think my relationship isn’t normal and toxic when In reality it’s not at all. We’re just two individuals that have had hard childhoods and have a lot of baggage that we both have to work through And You guys also talking about the raising aspect of things for the kids I loved that too and it’s so nice too see because having kids is a terrifying thing for me to even think about because I don’t want them to go through what I did. You guys & your fam have just brought so much joy to my life from just watching throughout the passed year!! And being able to see not just you’re highlight reels, but real moments and sit down talks like this, it’s just simply EVERYTHING because I needed it, and you just saved me a lot less overthinking and took the stressors away when it comes to how stressed and focused I’ve become on my relationship and all the negatives that we have I didn’t think at all it was as normal and to hear you guys literally be speaking our truth in front of my eyes was really cool to see. Because life is really hard!! I’m realizing it’s okay to not always be okay!! Thank you so much I really needed to see this today! I love you all!😘❤️🥰🥰

I started following you the day you found out you were pregnant with Venture. I just wanted you to know that, the reason why I did it was because I needed to see a happy family, joyful, full of life... while I was loosing mine (my mom had cancer and I was 21). The truth of your words, the sincerity of your happiness and your kid's happiness, allowed me conforting moments when I needed them the most. I wanted to thanks you for that. You are doing a lot for us, without always knowing it. Stay true to yourself

I'm sure that with the love you have for each other and the way you are able to communicate with each other then with or without a Councillor you will be able to sort out any problems that you may face together. I was 17 and my husband 18 when we got married in 1972 I had my eldest son in 1973 I was 18 I had my daughter in 1975 I was 20 I had my youngest son in 1978 I was 23. When my youngest son was 7years old we started fostering for the local authority. When we had been doing it for 10 years my husband 42 passed away from a heart attack we had been married 23 years. I carried on fostering for another 13 years and then reluctantly I had to retire due to I'll health. I am now 67 years old. I'm sharing my story for you to see how much you both are already doing to expand and enhance your family. Love and hugs to you both and all your family. XxxX ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

If you have a family you have ups and downs NO ONE is perfect and it’s nice to this because it’s how normal life is ❤❤❤❤

i don't know if y'all will see this, but i would truly seek a diagnosis of bipolar or BPD for yourselves. childhood trauma and a bad upbringing can truly cause your brain to rewire itself in ways we aren't always FULLY aware of.. i relate to the little amount of patience Garrick mentioned & the snapping to responsed immediately then instantly regretting it.. i personally have been diagnosed with a handful of things (BPD included) & honestly? it helps to know and learn about others who also struggle with the issues i have and has made me able to communicate in a more effective way.. i also related to forgetting what i have said & repeating myself like Zoe, and how you feel so frustrated because you want to not put someone through you repeating yourself.

I feel like I'm looking in a mirror of myself and my partner. We don't have the same childhood history as you guys, but we have our own traumas and the way that has affected us is SO similar.

My husband and I have been married 28 years , together for 32 . We had our first daughter at 16 . Marriage takes work ! We are best friends and love each other beyond words. Arguments happen and we always talk about it later and strive to do better. Also, everyone needs there own time !!! Life is short and the petty things just don't matter.

Arguments are inevitable. The only thing that matters is respect. When there is a difference of opinion, keeping in mind the tone of voice like you said and the fact that the other’s opinion is just as valid as yours creates an understanding environment that even your kids can learn from.
