I'm hoping you can help me understand one aspect of the timing of the crucifixion that I haven't seen discussed. I'll try to explain, and I'm hoping you can help me make sense of it... Nissan 10: The Passover lamb is selected Nissan 14: Passover sacrifice is made Do you think Nissan 10 played a role in Jesus' last week? Was Jesus selected by the people as the Passover lamb? If so, what event do you think was involved? My take is that his triumphant ride into Jerusalem (on the 1st day of the week) best fits a selection of Jesus as the Passover lamb. Is there another event that you think fits better? Thanks in advance.

Now I understand how Yeshua fulfilled the 3 days and 3 nights. As soon as he died he began his shiva to be able to count Friday as day1, he covered mirrors in his home, he did not do anything pleasurable, he did not take a shower because his body was covered with ointments, he did not heal anybody because he had to rest this Saturday, he watched from the distance how an angel opened his empty tomb, and after the morning prayers the time of shiva was completed. Jewish leaders accepted shiva as a sign from hell and recognised Yeshua as nobody. Did I get it right?

From what I understand, Jesus wasn't actually born on December 25th. But we honor his birth on Christmas. So, when he died, even if "good Friday " may not be the actual day, we still pay honor to his sacrifice and his resurrection on Sunday. To me, worrying about the specifics, we are being like Martha and Mary. Instead of embracing our Lord , many are (trying) to trace back an exact day thousands of years ago

Rabbi, how can Sunday be the first day of the week in the biblical age? The Gregorian calendar was created after those times.

According to this perspective it does indeed fulfill 3 days, however, not 3 nights. The spiritual significance of a friday crucifixion makes sense, but that doesn't make it true😅

If our Lord jesus christ died on Friday then how did he fulfill Passover lamb, next day is 15th is unleavened bread and Friday evening to Saturday evening is sabbath. Still somethings are unclear

“Thursday” I feel like. It’s fuzzy math because three days means three days!!! I still like, and listen to you Rabbi, but I we agree to disagree.

Why couldn’t he have died on the fifth? That is the number of grace!

What about "pseudo death"? For him to only appear to be dead for 1 1/2 day, does not qualify for Him to be legally considered to be dead. For Him to be the antitypical Passover lamb, He would have had to die at the time the Passover lamb was slain. When the lamb was slain on Friday, it was not slain at 3:00, (but earlier in the afternoon,)as we the time Messiah died. That is another reason we know He did not die on Friday. When we could "six days before the Passover" that would have been on "Thursday/Friday" the week before, which means Passover that year was to be slain on Wednesday.

The Bible did say when Passover was. It does mention the preparation day for the Holyday, prior to crucifixion. It's not so difficult to count in that way. Friday sacrifice, Sunday resurrection is a Christian tradition with roots in paganism in my opinion. Let's not forget the Feast of Firstfruits which to my understanding symbolizes His resurrection. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Taking it "literally" matters for this because it was THE SIGN Yeshua gave that would prove He is who He says He is. Passover and Firstfruits are clear in my opinion. Easter is from Ishtar (fertility Goddess)

It is not so relevant day of the week, our Lord Yeshua died, but undeniable fact is that He had to rise on the first day of the Week, to fulfill the Day of the Yom haBikurim/Firstfruits, which always had to be on morrow after Sabbath, following Pesach. Lev. 23 He was the Unleavened First Fruit from the Dead, while Shavuot/Feast of Weeks offering was leavened as it happened 50 days after Passover, inauguration of the New Covenant in heavenly, and the result Holy Spirit comes to seal the First Fruits in Acts chapters 1-3

Where does the Bible tell us about sitting shiva? Sorry if I spelled it wrong. I ask because you are using words like minimal allowed days for this, but I do not see that in scripture. Jesus told the religious leaders that they were putting their traditions before God's commands. According to Jewish Halakhah, is it ok to heal on the Sabbath? Do you have to wash your hands according to the traditions before eating bread? Did Jesus tell someone not to sit Shiva when He said: Matthew 8:21-22 [21]And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. [22]But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

Why is it your version of this is different now... in the youtube video you actually declare that you know Yeshua died on the 14th day of nissan sametime as the Passover lambs at 3pm in "Tonight Discover the Messiah’s Family DNA | Kathie Lee Gifford & Rabbi Jason Sobe" at around the 7:40 mark?! { which may I say is a really excellent teaching by you )! Which is it... Wednesday or Friday? ... which is the truth

What about the 3RD Night? Even if you slipped in a Day with a brief amount of time before Sunset Friday and you count that as a Day, How do you get 3 Nights??? So let's recount this. ( Day 1 - The last moments of light before Sunset = Friday ( Day ) "We are missing the Night/night hours" ) ( Day 2 - The Evening and Night hours following and the Sunrise and the Day hours following = Saturday ) ( Day 3 - The Evening and Night hours following and the Sunrise and the Day hours following = Sunday ) But wait Yehoshua/Yeshua was already resurrected early on the First Day of the Week, We are missing the 3RD Night..!!! as it is written [Matthew 12:40 KJV] For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the belly of the fish; so shall the Son of man be three days and THREE NIGHTS in the heart of the earth. 3 Nights ( Got to have three nights to fulfill the words of Jesus/Yeshua ) I'm eager to hear the reasons why it doesn't have to be three nights. John 11:9 "Jesus answered, 'Are there not twelve hours of daylight?'..." If he defines daylight as 12 hours, then night would also be 12 hours. So 3 days and 3 nights = 72 hours. No? I believe in the Wednesday position.
